THE BATKID OF MONKUBOK

The world premiere of: THE BATKID OF MONKUBOK. Imagine seeing people who look like you, talk like you and see imagery from the place where you live, then watch on the giant screen as a little guy you know turns into BATKID and speaks in your own language. Tonight was easily one of the best I have ever had as a filmmaker. These young Ebeye students helped make this anti-bullying film, they setup their own theater in the gym, and they watched as people laughed and clapped at their art. BATKID is only 12 minutes long. We had another film to show but we had to stop it to show BATKID again. And again. And again. We had to show it 4 times. now THAT was fun! -Microwave Films
