    Great and informative video! Don't wait months before the next one.

    I didn't see this one until now but I agree. My latest design has even thinner sharp tips but I'm not using the same very high modulus and I have a thicker centre section to socket the chunky front foot of an Axis mast. Something half way between what I've seen of the F-One Sk8 and this foil. Absolutely agree about perfomance of those tips. A bit more area than an Axis ART1099 with slightly more span at 1 meter and a much bigger chord variation, I lent mine to a friend yesterday and he was mostly doing same speed on both when I looked at his graphs. This code would be faster, there's a consistent thinner chord. None of these pointy wings are right for beginners though. Too much wing popping out of the water violence.

    Right on boys- great review.

    Looks pretty sweet can’t wait to demo it some time. I like that the foil has a semi forward swept design similar to the cloud9 foil.

      Really good point. We didn’t touch on that at all. Maybe we’ll do the Cloud IX FS850 next and compare to see if that’s the secret!

      Yeah. I like it too. Lots of similarities there

    great review boys! I'm trying to decide between code foils (850s) and lift foils (120 and/or 150 HA) for down-winding on a wing, and later using a paddle. What would be your pick?

      While I love the Lift 120HA and the 150HAX, I still prefer the Code. I believe the Code delivers a more user friendly experience. It's more predictable in turns, less pitchy, and a stronger physical product. You can't go wrong with either choice, but that's my personal opinion. Whichever you decide, be sure to give us a shout, and we can send your new foils directly to you.

    Takuma is mustache too, interesting that 1440 and 1210 were, 1095 wasn’t, and k2 went back to it.

    Code 850 vs progression for downwind and waves?

    • @wingmanfoilclub
      @wingmanfoilclub Před rokem

      Try them both. My guess is Code, but I haven’t tried the Progression yet. My feeling is the Code will be lower drag.

      That’s a tough call. They feel very different. And they turn different. I think the code turns better, but progression can go slower. However 850 is like a 125 progression. So it’s hard to compare different sizes wings. Maybe when the progression comes out in a 125 we can do a side by side comparison of a few foils in that size range

    Are code foils compatible with lift masts?

      Although they look similar, that are not compatible
