I'm not the biggest fan of Cam Smith i am 63 and loved the game since i was 7 but if i was picking a side to win a game Cam is my first pick, best football brain i have ever seen. Lazarus will will you a game as well!

controversial opinion but i don't think he's an immortal. Very good player no doubt. But QLD still win 8 in a row if Robbie Farah (or similar calibre) was the 9. Smith retired and melbourne still kill it. Slater is the one imo.
@@hansoloburger2322 i didn't say it doesn't matter. I said he's very good, without being an immortal. That isn't an insult. Not everyone is an immortal.
Locky, Thurston, smith and slater.. can’t put them all in so Smith for me.. I think Thurston to maybe, just for what he did/does for north qld and aboriginal culture
Alfie Langer should definitely be an immortal. Won a lot more than Joey Johns. Alfie was a better player every day of the week. The other player is Jonathan Thurston.
@@jasonoxenbridge4554 Yeah, he'd be good too. I just want to see some of the past greats get in before they start putting in Thurston and Cam Smith, because they'll keep doing it and anyone pre-2000 will end up ignored. I can see it now, Smith goes in, so the next will be Thurston and maybe Lockyer.... by then they'll be talking about Cleary. Recency bias will kill the concept.
2000 grand final... Lockyer wins both grand final and Clive Churchill medal against your almighty Fittler. The guy beat the salary cap cheating storm in the GF with Shane Perry as his half back... Whoever that guy was or did that season we still don't know 😂@@zendosaftw

Cam Smith played a lot of games yeah but that was because he never took hit ups. He was the beneficiary of an elite Storm system, surrounded by superstars, and a real talent for bending rules/manipulating refs to suit himself. No way should he be an immortal.

If Lockyer doesn’t become an immortal before Smith, it means nothing.

Immortalise Alfie Lockyer & Cronk
Bradley Clyde or Brett Kenny I reckon. Cam smith, Lockyer & JT still got time to get theirs
Woodsy is the next immortal 😳
