Well. I'm not crying...you're crying. I relate to the anxiety, depression, and PTSD of past relationships. I oddly was drawn to Smart Doll for the same reasons. I knew I was drawn to your videos for a reason. If you ever doubt yourself...know you made a difference in someone's life...through your bravery, honesty and love (Ben too)

I know exactly what you mean when you talk about the importance of freeing yourself from the shackles of past abuse. It is truly both a difficult and exhilarating process to come out of those situations and find yourself again on the other side. ❤️💕❤️

Oh wow she is stunningly beautiful, huge congratulations on getting her. You are so brave, thank you for sharing some of your story with us all. I have had severe depression twice in the past, and while I am so much better now, it never really goes away, but hovers in the background all the time. Smart dolls are my love, they have kept me sane over this whole pandemic. I adore each and every Smartie. I have Nostalgia (Amy), Monday (Riley), Strength Cocoa (Willow) and Strength tea (Grace). I then got 2 chaos heads, one which I will likely sell, but I got another Nostalgia head which I fell in love with (Julia) and am waiting for a tea body which is on it's way to me soon to complete her, so I will have 5 girls!
All my girls and I send you much love all the way from Scotland. You take care and look after you.

I think you have a lot of Courage for sharing you story with your mental health and it is inspiring and your letter touch me so much. Danny chose well, Independence is a nice representation of you journey.
My 1st Girl is Starlight, she represent my soft and creative side my 2dn girl is Prowess my gamer side (she looks like my Character in FFXIV) and my inpatient side... As for Eiji, well ... just wanted a boy :D I love making short Stories with them :)

Awesome! She is beautiful. I finally purchased my first legitimate doll about a month ago, and while I wanted a Smart Doll (and still do, maybe someday) it wasn't in the cards for price. But, I got an Azone 1/3 scale doll from Mandarake and she is gorgeous. But, more importantly, my wife who struggles with depression and anxiety has gotten into helping me create little scenes to take pictures and she sort of forgets about how bad she feels for a bit and it is nice to see her get so excited about something that she originally had no interest in. Sorry, just wanted to share that. I do love the Tea and Cocoa skins on the Smart Dolls, The white tones on like a Volks or on my Azone seem some what unnatural, plus it is nice to see the diversity. Congratulations on your new girl.

I was always looking at smart doll myself because I just liked their looks better than folks for example. but I've seen comparisons with skin colour between volks dolls and smart doll and smart doll tones are quite a bit darker than volks.

After this video I dub thee a soul sister! Ok ok, so I took a peek at your facebook too because I realized I've been watching your videos, but not noticing any possible posts...I'll curse algorithms. For now I shall say thank you for being you, because it's a kick in the butt I needed. You are further along handling things than I have, with the irony of similar timing. Honestly, part of me was sad and jealous for a while, because I am so very much like you (well, with what you've graciously shared with us) but I haven't been able to get past the anxiety wall and follow through as you have. So the superficial jealousy was just because it seems like I found Smart Doll and got all these creative ideas...and then everyone else beats me to them and it's taken me an embarrassing amount of time to "get over it". But I had a good excuse in being full time care for my husband dying of prostate cancer as the perfect excuse to hide behind...and embarrassingly be jealous of everyone else that gets their happy ending... Now I just have my own foolish self holding me back, as usual. This has all happened before, and it will happen again. Or so my life has been and I'm sick of it. I fell into Smart Doll because I saw a creative outlet that I could combine ALL of my random skills and knowledge, and then got scared to follow through. You video just proves that I've once again been my own worst enemy, to stop otherthinking and second guessing...complete with rambling reasons that momentarily baffled Daddny when I was trying to make it easier for him! Lol! but I'd gotten so used to having my husband sort me out. so now I have to find my own STRENGTH and INDEPENDENCE for the first time...
Anyway...this is probably a poor way to introduce myself, but, hullo! I like you, and adore that you have such a supportive and interactive spouse! I look forward to whatever else you do, and plan to try out the sock videos. But also curious, what do you use to edit your videos? Even the Skyrim one because I also have too many hobbies and interests and looking for any tips my art school failed to instill in me that isn't behind Adobe's paywall...
Also, this is not the novel I spoke of. That might show up in your inbox someday when I'm again settled enough to write it. I am learning that there is a lot more to learning to be a widow than I ever imagined...

Maybe that;s why I have some filmed videos I'm afraid to even rewatch to edit and post.. afraid of myself..but ironically when my husband was dying he told me to not be afraid, and to be myself...whoever that is anymore after so many sacrifices over the years...uhh...thanks! sorry for accidental emotion, but so many things are tied together and very fresh. The battle rages on.
Hello sweet friend. Hi, I love you and thank you for being so incredibly brave and open about your journey.
The most important thing that I want to emphasize, is you are not under any time constraints. Your creativity is not a race and inspiration isn’t always easy to find. Especially when we are fighting other battles.
When my anxiety was at its worst, I didn’t want to film, sew, or even look at my dolls because I felt an immense amount of guilt, for not being the person I wanted and everyone deserved.
I realize now that I can’t be any one else’s savior and that I can only save myself. So it is important that I find peace within myself to just say, “no, I’m not ready” or “not today”
You’ve had a lot of hurts and major changes in your life. Taking the time to discover yourself and grieve for the life you had with your spouse are important.
Not only do I believe that they are important but will guide you in this new path you’ve set yourself on.
You come first. Your husband will be with you always. Look for those signs and messages because he will be there supporting you through it all.
I love you. You are strong. You will win the war.
P.S I use Adobe Premiere Pro for editing all my videos. I’m self taught so I watched and learned through CZcams. It was challenging at first but it got better.

Independence means choosing your own doll?
I had it narrowed down to three dolls, all of which I resonated greatly with. I felt incredibly torn and thought it would be fun to have the audience or Danny choose.
Independence means being able to make my own decisions about how I go about choosing my dolls, even if it is in the non traditional sense.
I made a choice to do something different that was meaningful to me.
I also like surprises. So Danny making the choice for me meant a lot and felt like fate.
I think it might have made been Danny's sense of humor shining through!
