POLANA SOSNY CAMPING - POLAND

The Polana Sosny camping site is situated in the mountainous Spish (Spisz) region dominated by the mighty Dunajec river and bordering Slovakia. This is a great place for a several days long family vacation with 2 medieval castles nearby, easy hiking routes, trout fishing spots and a white water ratfing base. You can also take a boat to go across the lake to visit the Czorsztyn castle.
The camping itself offers super clean showers and toilets, a small kitchen, a beach volleyball field, a playground for kids, canoe and bike rental. The camping highlight is undoubtedly its superb restaurant specializing in the local cuisine. Make sure you try the porcini mushroom soup served in a small, freshly baked bread-bowl.
During the winter you can have fun at several well lit skiing routes that belong to the camping and later have some mulled wine and baked local cheese with sweet cranberry sauce (yum!)
We visit this place regularly and it's great all year round.
