The parallel from Bakugo knowing Iida's the one who has to reach Izuku and Izuku knowing that Kirishima had to be the one to reach Bakugo during season 3 is great
Yeah, I know a lot of people wanted Bakugo to do it but if Bakugo reached him it would just reinforce how he gets those around him hurt.
@@In-The-Zone I think this is probably the best way, Bakugo got to apologize in a calm manner which is the best way to show his growth, while Iida got to be rash and reckless while finally paying Izuku back for how he saved him from himself in season 2

bakugou stepping back and letting iida reach for deku is a wonderful parallel for when deku stepped back and let kirishima reach for bakugou in s3. bakugou's apology was so wonderful and sincere I literally cried all times I reach and watched it. him reassuring deku that he didn't do anything wrong and that he and the class are there for him when it gets too tough was perfect.

You guys notice in this episode that Bakugo, Ida, Ashido, Mineta, and Sero aren't wearing their masks/helmets when Class A was trying to get Deku back to U.A. Even Koda and Kirishima took their headgear off mid-battle.

They didn't do this in the dub, but in the sub Iida mentions Ingenium always takes the hand of a "lost child", which hits hard because even as the most powerful hero Deku is also a lost child, and they need to save him so he can save everyone.
Im so sad that line isnt in the dub, it was the best part of that whole scene to me.
Man Dub is trash. Not only that line but so many. Bakugo saying so much crap I need to say to you sounds horrible. Canât believe people seriously love anime dub

@@fortunelekoto6704 nope the story gives life to those characters. Horikoshi sensei is a master at his art. Dub gives it no Justice while the Japanese voice actors really do give it the Justice it deserves and far more.

Great vocal performances from Briner, Tatum, Clifford Chapin, David Matranga and Justin Cook. And, if we're to go on how Ayane Sakura did in the original version, it looks like we'll get a great performance next episode from Luci Christian as well (also from Briner, Jerry Jewell, Zeno Robinson, etc.).
Mad respect to all of these kids. Honestly, I think theyâve proven themselves to be better heroes than a whole lot of the pros!

The scene for the ramp launch is a *parallel* to S3 with Bakugo rescue mission at Kamino (where All Might vs AFO 2 took place) - as they are at the same place now with All Might's statue as a memorial.
Iida (not Bakugo) reached for Deku now, as Kirishima (not Deku) reached for Bakugo then.

Also, with Bakugo's hero name, the Dyna-Might part is direct homage to All Might.
Bro he's sooo tired, when Bakugo finally gets through to him you can just see the fatigue hit him all at once.

I appreciate how the dub makes Bakugo sound a bit more regretful in his apology. The Japanese version isnt bad, far from it, but something just feels more fitting about the scene in English. He actually sounds sad
Its probably because bakugo's japanese voice is a bit grungy. Or it could be because we understand what dub is saying that we feel that he is more regretful.
Same thing with the final fight in the second movie, Dub Bakugo has some minor emotion in his voice in regards to Midoriya possibly being quirkless again, while japanese Bakugo was deadpan a bit.
Even after all that whole rescue mission, Deku still not really feeling okay to stay at UA as he said. He was brought back physically, but he hasn't been fully "saved" yet mentally. Like Eri after Overhaul, before cultural festival.
Deku was straight up ready to leave after all that work to get him back, but Uraraka had to grab his hand to keep him there. So she will try to complete this mission so that Deku is fully "saved".
Class 1-A will forever be one of the best elements in all of MHA. Theyâre all literally just one big happy family and itâs the most wholesome and awesome thing Iâve ever seen.đđ„
Man I honestly believe the dub trumps the sub at this point. Both are excellent, but I see so much more personality in these dub characters than in any other English anime Iâve seen. The tiniest things like Kaminariâs âmy dudeâ just makes this world feel so real.

You didn't catch this, but the track thing was also a call back. That was Deku's idea to save Bakugo during All Might's last battle.

My 4 favorite things in this entire series is definitely Bakugou apologizing, Eri getting to smile again, All Mights speech after defeating All for One, and Kota calling Deku his hero. But man, Bakugou apologizing hit me hard

I like the fact that there were only 2 characters that didnât get a moment with deku and those are the 2 that the fandom have the most theories about one of them being the UA traitor. Horikoshi knows what heâs doing đ

The last few episodes of this season absolutely nailed it. I don't think MHA's managed to hit me in the feels that hard since Eri at the school festival.
This episode hit right in the feel.
I can understand Deku's reasons, but the people he's made friends with wont let him go it alone. lol
The character development for certain characters like endeavour and bakugo in this show is just incredible. Bakugoâs apology hit me in the feels hard.

It's worth mentioning that class A is not as powerful as Deku. Deku was already running on fumes before this "fight" began
Deku's admission of his friends having surpassed him is based on their superior maturity compared to him.
Because they know they can't fight alone, they're way better than him at problem solving and threat suppression.
You were acting like this is a fight but itâs not, deku doesnât want to hurt them and they donât want to hurt him, it was about persuading him to let them take over for a bit and come back
Whether delaying the episode means we get a double drop for the final two eps or not is whatever I donât mind waiting for it. (Specifically I really wanna see Marketaâs reaction next episode) so all good to me
A lot of people seem to be missing this, but the line Iida said to Deku "Meddling when you don't need to is the essence of being a hero" is the exact same thing Deku said to Iida back when he helped him fight Stain when Iida was being stubborn about accepting help.

weâre not in endgame btw, thereâs at least 2 seasons left judging by whatâs in the manga, 100% another season since season 7 is confirmed
Lemme just say that no, Class 1A WASN'T able to keep up with him, with all their combined might, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, well-rested, they could BARELY keep up with Deku who was trying his damndest not to hurt any of them, as well as one of his quirks not working because they had no intention of hurting him either. But here is what clinched me: Deku was exhausted, dude was running on fumes and still he almost got away.
Yes, and the words his classmates say to him makes him not really try anywhere near as hard as he could've even without hurting them. They were able to catch up to him because he travelled in a straight line and could've just swung to the right a little, and they'd lose him. Or, heck, use the 2nd wielder's quirk if he really wants to be a savage about it and just crush their dreams of ever keeping up in a hundred years.
Iâve been waiting for this episode reaction for a long time!!! I love you guys! Also, you should delay the next episode

First off, I'm ok waiting for the reaction of the next episode once you're all back.
2nd, I've watched this episode multiple times both subbed and dubbed and each time i cry during Bakugo's moment. Love seeing all your reactions and listening to your thoughts on each episode.
I don't remember word for word but it's when deku tells ojiro " if I go to UA it's like killing you myself" this was in the dubbed version I heard that I got chills

Ochakoâs part hit different cause sheâs spitting facts
I loved this entire manga chapter and episode. Because it COMPLETELY reconciled Izuku and Bakugo relationship. And as someone that has both Izuku and Bakugo as Favourite characters it was really awkward liking a starlight up bully/abusers but any who- first The parallel of Izuku realising that Kirishima will reach Bakugo vs Bakugo realising Iida will reach Izuku. It shows that even tho they have history the know they are not the best or closest ppl for eachother, they are not the others bff, even tjo they understand a F ton about eachother and care alot... enoch brings me to THEE APOLOGY! I felt everything that Bakugo was saying, the _sincerity_ the deep remorse and self reflection and the realization that its not enough and will never be enough but it's the least Izuku deserves and of course catching Midoriya as he fell. This was the COMPLETE redemption of Bakugo and I'm glad that it had all the foreshadowing before this (this fight, bakugo confiding in Izuku about his self blame over all might, help Deku with his secret and quirk training and ofc saving deku) the fact that it had build up really majes you feel it because theres nothing more off putting and mid as a villain or antagonist suddenly brung like "I was wrong" and then instantly forgiven eith 0 pre build up or work/development before hand.
I'd definitely wait a couple weeks if you wanted to drop next ep and the finale a bit later. I wanna see everyone react including Mickey and I wanna cry along w Marketa and Rana too! This episode was basically perfect. No notes!
Now imagine if deku wasn't exhausted, hungry, or dehydrated.. yeah they wouldn't have even been able to stop him from the first jump
His max speed is faux 100%, if they could catch that and they did, then nothing will change if he wasnt tired. He'd only be able to be more creative and awake but he still has limits ability wise

Deku finally got the apology and reassurance he deserved and ma boy Bakugo finally owned up for his mistakes and became the voice of reason. This episode is beautiful.

Love, LOVE, LOVE this episode. Let's discuss the parallels. First, we have Iida thinking back to when he thought he absolutely had to face the villain before him to the point of even throwing away his own safety. Izuku is playing right into AFO's hands by tiring himself out but he feels like he can't just sit and rest when Shigaraki always knows where he is. Izuku helped Iida with his problem. Now Iida steps up to help him with his. Next up, the Bakugo rescue that happened. Back then, Shoto made the ice ramp as Iida flew through the sky. Izuku had so many bottled up feelings for Bakugo. So many things he wanted to say to him. But he knew Bakugo would see it as a sign of weakness if he reached out to grab his hand. So he took a step back and allowed Kirishima to do it. Now, Shoto makes another ice ramp and Bakugo is the one who has the bottled up feelings inside him. He has so many things he wants to say. So many things he NEEDS to say. But he puts his feelings aside and lets Iida grab Izuku's hand because he's designed for speed. We see Tenya get to reaffirm that helping a child in need is what he does. Meddling in affairs where people might reject your help is what being a hero is all about. But more importantly, Deku needs to take a bath. Kaminari was right.
All jokes aside, let's talk about Bakugo's speech. These two have such a complex relationship. From childhood best friends to a strained relationship due to Bakugo feeling inferior, to Bakugo and Izuku reluctantly working together, to Bakugo telling Izuku to stay back when he was captured to his meltdown in their second fight to them being proper rivals and Bakugo helping Deku with his quirks and then jumping in the way to save him without thinking like Izuku did for him in the past. They have such a complex relationship filled with a whirlwind of feelings. But Bakugo was willing to be vulnerable not just in front of Deku, but everything in their class. He swallowed his pride and admitted his weakness. He told Deku that it was okay to rest. That it's okay to have shortcomings because they'll have his back. And he ran up to catch Izuku when he fell. Iida caught Izuku, Bakugo made him feel comfortable enough to finally rest on his shoulder, and now the public has to be convinced that he can stay at the school. Deku thinks he's useless if he can't save people. But now it's time to address an important question. Who saves the heroes when they're in trouble?
Side note, I almost forgot the Mineta line. Fun fact, in the manga, people were freaking out because of Mineta saying he fell for Deku. The fandom nearly having a meltdown at bi Mineta was peak chaos.
It's pretty impressive that they were able to match faux 100% speed by working together to catch deku

Beyond the very specific parallel of the ramp boost launch, the way that 1-A planned for this whole fight in stages felt rather Deku. He's always been the class' top strategist, but between his emotions, his weariness, and their combined brains, they outplanned him.
Remember deku didn't throw a single punch or kick during this whole fight
I really like the parallels of Bakugo letting Iida confront Deku at the same location where Deku let Kirishima confront and rescue Deku. The callbacks and references in this show are really good.
