hey hi 👋🏻 let me know what you think and it would be great if you suggested some topics for the next one so that I can create content that you find helpful ☀
Really enjoyed this but next time can you show your entire screen or at least the functioning aspects of the vscode so I can see where you are in the protocol. I am learning from scratch and I am not always sure where to input commands. I enjoyed your video very helpful
Maya Please try to go with oen source model, mostly we are the beginner who have not even 1 penny to spend , some may think one penny is just a small number . But for those i will say no one is born rich . Its will be a great teaching and respect if you start using with free open source models! Lots of love ✨
Good video! Nice to see someone who does something else besides the demo code included in the app. Keep up the good work, and show us what else you can get GPT Engineer to do
yes! finally someone that didn't take a boiler plate example and say "wow, look at this" tried to think of an actual use case and figured out how to implement. earned a subscribe, especially cause of the file issue. Showed someone that knows the ins and outs of baby developers like me.
Genuinely shocked you don't have more subs already, very well made videos, I'm absolutely uninformed with this stuff but this video was made in a way I understood so thank you!
Great video - I didn't even know about this tool before. I think the tests you do are great - it makes you stand out from the other tutorial videos. Keep up the good work! In any case, I've already left a subscription!
Thank you so much Leon! I see your channel has grown a lot! Totally deserved, you help so many people with your flowise tutorials. I have one of your videos queued up.
Thank you for keeping it. Simple nice and awesome to understand. Every other video about GPT engineer or auto GPT focuses on the possibilities and they don’t actually show you what it is capable of at the current state.
As a programmer myself I am confident that we will do the best we can through open source and free contributions to be the ones that are replaced first and as quickly as possible.
I like the test case approach and showing the trials and errors, so we know what to expect, also the solutions and troubleshooting, like checking the issues tab on the repository, great video!
great video! it would be really interesting to see a 1:1 comparison with gpt4. I would guess that it might perform a lot better, given that it is wayyy better with things like "understanding" context etc. Let's hope you'll get your API access soon (still waiting for mine as well:) thank you for your great work!
I'm getting this: export : The term 'export' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.
oh nooo, I don't think it's a threat. For now. All of these tools are too clumsy to create anything that has any production value. But I seriously don't understand why are developers so passionate about improving them 😅
There are a number of things wrong with sour test, and they all show where the technology stands. First, it codes like a beginner - they obviously work on that. Running unit tests and fixing issues are definitely a go. Second, biggest problem is that your code has design elements (graphical quality) that a text only AI can just not deal with ;) But that is all nice to show where we stand - and that is at the bottom of a hill that goes into the clouds. The first steps are not getting a result - who cares.
It's a text-only AI but I've had ChatGPT design some remarkable web pages for me. You have to define which framework you use (Tailwind, Bootstrap, Custom) and clearly define which style you're after: "minimalism", "colorful", "luxury". If you tell it to create a beautifully designed CRUD page or webform for an admin feature, you'll see there's a level of design intelligence and psychology being applied on where it positions all the elements. It's not perfect but AI researchers have said many times that these models are slowly becoming more than just a Language Model and are getting reasoning capabilities as we further train them and increase parameter size.
Yes of course, the prompt was "Write requirements and product documentation for an entire website - blog about cats as well as an e-commerce section. React for frontend, node.js for backend"
just don't ask them to build a website that needs database access. Been working for a week trying to get simple database access running. They get lost when it gets complicated and it gets complicated quickly. What happened to the old days when it was so easy to build pages and access databases?
I agree, thanks for the feedback! I definitely don't think that these tools are the future because of all the limitations. I didn't bring up issues of security and outdated code but these aspects are very important and thank you for bringing them up.
This tool is really not worth. Basically you are paying like half a dollar of OpenAI cost of using gpt4 for something simple and that is not working properly. And when you make improvement, the cost can go up quickly.
That's a very interesting idea! Thanks! That will definitely depend on the speed of gpt engineer's development. But I really hope they introduce many new exciting features in the future that I can turn into good youtube content.

@@josephine.888 Thanks a lot for the feedback! I will definitely show the whole screen next time ;)
Maybe how to create an interface or plugin? Or a review of autogpt plugins? Not sure if this would be interesting to others, though.

Thank you. Nice tutorial. I love hearing your experience and not just how to do it.
Thank you :)

Nice video. And this demonstrate the possibilities. Think about 3 months from now according to the current AI progress speed.
Glad to see your channel growing. Keep it up Maya!

A much more useful review than some of the others I have seen 👍
Thanks for showing things apart from the snake app what everyone else is showing and telling the difference between this and autogpt!
I like the test case approach and showing the trials and errors, so we know what to expect, also the solutions and troubleshooting, like checking the issues tab on the repository, great video!
Thanks a lot! I'm preparing more videos with test cases where I compare these autonomous agents like smol ai, gpt engineer
@@maya-akim That would be great!
thank you for the clear, step by step guide.

Finally some proper testing shared instead of the snake game, thank you! Wondering if you tried superagi yet and what your thoughts are

I enjoy your videos. Going back and watch old one and feeding algo.
Thanks a lot 🤗
Love your stuff - it has given me more rebuilding blocks in coding with AI. Thanks. Subscribed.
Goodbye to my Computer Science uni degree 🫠

@@maya-akim why are humans so passionate about building increasingly better weapons used to kill humans ?
Great video Maya! Thank you ☺️
psst your API KEY is on the video, even if it's not all of it, someone can brute force the rest of the key and spend your usage
Oh it’s an old one, I revoked it :) but thanks for letting me know!
Great Video Maya! Thanks!
Very nice video. Thank you for Sharing!
Great content 🎉 and it’s helps your not another middle age white guy talking about ai
Trying this for a mini project with LM studio and Llama 3, it's not going well.
You're doing really good work, definitely a sub from me. you should get more! you deserve them! Awesome!❤💯
thank you very much for the support :)

I just subscribed to your channel! You are doing an excellent job! Thanks
Thank you for subscribing and for the encouragement. It really keeps me motivated!
Good review. Subscribed.
Thanks you soo much ❤
You can specify api endpoint it will get the data from there like images there are many free APIs are available
thanks, that's excellent feedback! I'm definitely going to try that
Thank you
its great, if you have gpt-4. 3.5 aint doing it, 95% of what it does makes it crash and it doesnt keep the progress for iterations.
Thanks for the walkthrough. Mind sharing the prompt you used to generate technical requirements from chatgpt4. Thanks
Yes of course, the prompt was "Write requirements and product documentation for an entire website - blog about cats as well as an e-commerce section. React for frontend, node.js for backend"

The sound fx are a bit too loud. Thanks for the video.
Can you do this with GPT-4?
yes, that's going to be my next video! I literally got access to it this morning. Finally 🎉
It's like the overconfident intern, cute but almost anything more some party tricks and they go blaahhh
i hope that wasn't your own api key you exposed there. or if it was, that you've since deleted it and generated a new one.
You should not use these " autonomous " Ai for two reasons:
- Supply chain attack
- Outdated code
Otherwise, in the same AI idea, there's Smol-ai.

how does it compare with smol-ai ?
My impression is that gpt engineer offers more comprehensive code. But I could make a video where I compare the two.
have you tried Cat As a Service API? 😆
This video is now viral imo. Subscribed for your cuteness too girl 😄👍
Can gptengineer code in c++
well, gpt engineer is just chatgpt (3.5 or 4 depending on your API) under the hood, so yes it can! You should specify that you want it written in c++
This tool is really not worth. Basically you are paying like half a dollar of OpenAI cost of using gpt4 for something simple and that is not working properly. And when you make improvement, the cost can go up quickly.
Just now Subd and Liked!
If i may suggest?
Please return to this in 2weeks to 6:47 test it again
Make it your bi-weekly or monthly update series?

I have some content you can learn but it's not free
