God bless the gardeners and cleaners

I think the maids have it worse
Hunger is hard and time is tough,
But bless the beggars and kiss the kings,
For hope has broken the heart of things,
And nothing was ever praised enough.
@@nathanw.3187 It was joke bro calm down! Don't suck up to those washed up fucks!
@@Grimr33fer I can’t quote poetry lol? I was reading poetry on my bed, listening to Christmas music and eating chocolate brownies. I was very chill, but also in the Christmas spirit, with its all embracing love. Nothing was ever praised enough 🤷♂️
Theres poor, medium, rich, millionaire, wealthy, billionaire, then theirs this.
Wait till you see what comes after this
And then there’s Jeff
I can afford to purchase this entire earth but no one wants to sell it thats the problem 😂😂
@@hdahir545 I'll sell it to you...
Trillonare , Dillionare , Xillionare
There's the rich, millionaires, and then there is the wealthy, billionaires
Billionaires? 💀 you mean kings and queens, the only ones that can afford to pay 200-300 billion for a castle. Even the richest man in the world couldn’t afford that😂
@@Loud.Thoughts bill could
@@poiiibbbb he’s a billionaire, not even the richest as of right now. Probably 3rd? 4th? His money has its limits too. A king and queens wealth transcends any amount of personal wealth an individual can possess.
Clorox Bleach i mean he/she can
and then there is the royals, trillionaires
All of those castles were built by royals, the only people who can afford to build and furnish them
Fun fact about Schönbrunn (the last castle in the video) - you can actually rent rooms/apartments inside for regular living! They even cost almost regular rent fees. I grew up in Vienna and know some people who live inside, they say it's pretty comfortable. (It's probably not in the main part of the castle seen inside the video - there's many more buildings and extensions to it on all sides)
I would expect the regular renters are in the old servants quarters.
These places are so extreme, they aren’t even houses. They’re museums.
Tho tbf, if I was Jeff or Elon, I wouldn’t build a 2 billion dollar skyscraper. Nor an actual 10 mile palace. No, no, I’d make a goddamn city, turn a castle into Harvard 2.0 and then live on the moon cause why the hell not.
@Kim Boom Joong ur right, royalty doesnt mean shite when compared with corporate power and capitalist supremacy. Now, monarchies are crowns and little else.
Elon IS building a city.
Mukesh Ambani built his $1B home in Mumbai exactly like that :) Its a sky scraper.
Well yeah. They aren’t ceos, they are royalty. There homes are gonna be extreme cause they are inherited by there ancestors from centuries ago
Palace of Versailles: $200-$300 billion
Jeff Bezos: no no no i refuse to believe there is actually something on this earth that I can't afford to buy 🥴 lol
Nah I’m pretty sure he can afford this😭he’s predicted to be a trillionare by 2026 that’s only 5 years
Their estimate was a little off. While they were right it will probably never be for sale, it is not valued at $200-300 billion in today’s money. I have seen estimates between $10b-$50b for Versailles.
He has 300b dollars
Jeff Bezos doesn’t have billions or even trillions sitting in his bank account as cash. That’s his net worth. Meaning if he was to liquidate (sell) everything he has to his name than he would be holding that number as cash. His actual salary is $81k and stock compensation of $1.5 million making his salary $1.7 million a year.
That price probably includes all the pieces of Art inside.
I would be scared living in those castles. They are haunted forsure.
bye me i want it

@Raphaël Gaudet bruh lol stop it

What about the Tokyo Imperial Palace? The Palace itself, including gardens, is 3.41 square km. The palace is $852,500,000,000, a gigantic price tag for a single property. Even more astonishing, if we take the Ginza office space a reference point, the price balloons to over $5.1 trillion.
Imagine being able to afford this
Can't relate 😂😭
Can they really afford it tho? They inherited the castle but could they afford to buy or build it today?
Don’t worry your not poor they’re just rich af
No.
Haha, okay. I shall imagine that.
@@erictyson5947 i doubt it.
Imagine how brilliant, industrious, creative, genius and hard working were the people back then, doing all those castles/palaces without or using very limited technology, can't help but be amazed👏👌

The Hearst Castle was by far my favorite attraction to visit while living in California. I cannot recommend it enough. This video doesn't come close to showing how mind boggling immensely opulent and luxurious this once "home" truly is. If you're ever in California, go. Tickets are reasonable and I was kicking myself afterwards that I didn't pay extra for the extended tour.
m m I've never been to the Biltmore but I have been to the Palace at Versailles. The above video says that Versailles is better than the Hearst Castle but I completely disagree.
Versailles is far greater in scale but it's void of any furniture apart from a few tables and throne. It's basically one giant gilded room after another, pretty much all of them looking alike apart from the uninspiring painting of landscapes and aristocrats hanging on the wall. The Hearst Castle on the other hand is fully furnished with incredible art and artifacts that Hearst collected over decades from around the world. Exquisite furniture, painting, rugs, antiquities, etc. There are entire rooms with walls covered in carved wooden panels taken from age old monastery that generations of monks took centuries to painstakingly complete.
Want to visit Ancient Rome? Take a look at the pool which is totally authentic stones and tiles from the time of the actual Roman and Greek Empires. And this videos didn't even show the huge interior pool which also has stonework and tiles from ancient palaces.
To put it in perspective, there's one large extremely rare sculpture, marble, of Napoleon sister, one of only two sculpture that survive by this particular artist, that if put up for auction today would bring enough money to rebuild the entire Hearst Castle back in time it was constructed.
Add, the history of the people who lived and played there, their lives, is quite interesting.
I really enjoyed it and I saw only half of what was to be seen. Thus why I was kicking myself that I didn't pay for the full extended tour.
@@DeadBunny69
Actually the Roman pool of Hearst castle isn’t made of ancient components, while the Neptune pool is centered by the facade of an ancient Roman temple, the Roman pool is the creation of architect Julian Morgan and was a contemporary construction and consists of modern materials.

Ever since I’ve learned about it in school the Palace of Versailles was always something that I wanted to see, take a tour through, and if I ever had the money and it was on sale, PURCHASE!!
@Athrun Zala you’d have to sell the place to pay off your child support payments if you impregnated that many women!!!
Back in the day, the palace used to be stinky as there were dirt on its floors
@@t.f.r287 yeah I know. Filthy pigs used to piss in all the corners throughout the palace. They stank like hell!! 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮 The gardens look the the shining point of the palace.
Exquisite buildings, stunning furnishings, big enough for the most extensive Art collection. Of course I would.
addition: The Royal Palace of Caserta is also a UNESCO heritage landmark, and it may not provide comfort as it is more an ancient ruin in compare to the list, I think it deserves quite a recognition considering the huge palace is elaborated with huge gardens.
Great video. I need to watch this again. Several times.
I could probably afford a leaf off one of the trees around the castle
Excellent video with accurate information as opposed to so many similar ones on the net. I'm a Parisian so the value Versailles was very interesting to know. Do you have an idea of the valuation of the Schonbrun Palace in Vienna? I have visited it. Hats off again for this!
"the loovruh" my fellow french speakers are crying, but we'll forgive it.
I would love to tour each and every one of these places. Great video, thanks for sharing
I have visited Biltmore 3x. Beautiful place and grounds. I also did the Rooftop Tour and it was well worth it. Blue Ridge Parkway is a wonderful drive too! If you love mountains I highly recommend it.
I was in Schonbrunn palace in 2017, it was mad... I've never seen such beauty in my life I dream of owning something like that someday as I'm working towards that dream and will definitely achieve it. Right now where I'd really love to go next when this whole pandemic settles down is the Royal chateau in Versailles, I hear it's a wonder to behold with one's eye.. I can't wait...
Wow I was also in Schonbrunn palace in 2017, I toured around for over 16 hours, it was like being in heaven.

Awesome Great Super Nice and Suit Match Castle and Palaces
Been to Neuschwanstein and definitely recommend it’s gorgeous. But you do have to walk up a mile long steep hill to get there and they don’t allow pictures inside (tho it’s pretty easy to sneak them)
I have a Nanoblock set of the Neuschwanstein Castle. Pretty cool Disney based Sleeping Beauty's castle off of that one
Finally I can Imagine Jeff Bezos saying : I can't afford that. That's out of my budget.4:05.

The ceiling in the dining hall of Hearst castle is not “Art Deco”. Art Deco is an architectural style popularized during the 1920s-1930s. The ceiling in the dining hall I believe dates to the 14-15th century and is either medieval or gothic.
Somewhat correct in that it is called the refectory and not a dining room.very far from art deco architecture for sure. Many of the refectory ceiling panels were carved right there on the hill, complete with minute worm holes for authenticity. Whole buildings were bought by Hearst mainly throughout Europe, taken apart and shipped into San Luis Obispo by rail or by ship into the San Simeon port where a Hearst pier was built for incoming shipments and building supplies as well as guests who didn’t fly into Hearst’s private air strip. Its a marvelous place to visit!
@@steelman86
Regardless of what the room in question is called it is nonetheless a dining hall, a refectory is a “dining room used especially in religious or institutional buildings. And despite Julia Morgan’s christening the room as a refectory in reference to the atmosphere and architectural details from former refectories considering that Hearst castle is not a monastery or place of worship, it is indeed a dining hall and nothing more.
The ceiling upon further research is actually Italian 16th century and not of a contemporary manufacture. It was bought by Mr Hearst in Rome in may of 1924, and while the spacing and slats between the carvings were made to fit the panels the carvings themselves are period pieces.
Looking at the title, the Forbidden Palace was the first thing came into my mind.

Jeff Bezos watched this video and then told his accountant: "I can't be bothered to choose. I'll buy one of each."
You cannot actually buy half of these even if you had the money, and apart from 1 or 2 all the other ones you could actually buy are estimated at more than Jeff Bezos's net worth... Sorry your comment doesn't make any sense :P
