हॉर्नबिल फेस्टिवल (Hornbill Festival) का आयोजन प्रत्येक वर्ष नागालैंड राज्य के स्थापना दिवस (1 दिसंबर, 1963) पर किया जाता है। इस त्यौहार की शुरूआत वर्ष 2000 में नागालैंड सरकार ने कराई थी जिसका उद्देश्य नागा जनजातियों को आपस में एक दूसरे से परिचित कराना व देश दुनिया को नागा समाज की संस्कृति से रूबरू कराना था।

Compared to other Indian state's women, Naga women are carefree (no distinction to have open conversation, whether it be known people or strangers.. You ask, they reply)... While other states women are on a conservative side(both have their pros and cons in the present society)...i had a very funny incident in Manali when I asking with my friends went out for a stroll and got lot(we used Google maps but due to network instability,we couldn't get the proper direction) after walking a while, we were almost on the outskirts of Manali. There were only few people around who we could ask for direction and as such, when i saw a lady approaching, (being the only hindi speaking guy from among my friends) i approached her to ask her for direction. But when i called her"Bahanji", all I got as a reply was shouts and monologue of the said lady ... When we compare the hospitality of the Naga women with that of the other states' women, Nagas are very hospitable...Love Nagaland
