Man, that SILVER color for Asia is so nice.. Wish we could get that.. That 45mm on there looks AMAZING !!! Probably the setup I'm going to get.

45mm f2.8 is really nice, especially with clicked aperture ring.
I was originally thinking of getting Sigma 35mm f2 because of the brighter aperture, but that one is a lot bigger than the 45mm. It's almost the same size as the Panasonic 35mm f1.8, which kinda defeats the purpose of getting a smaller camera.

you are so lucky to get the silver top. Here in usa we don’t have that option. looking forward to your videos

I like the black top, but the silver is just something else.
Not sure why Panasonic has decided to keep it only in Asia though. I'm sure it would've been the best selling color.

Nice video! It looks like a great pair with the Sigma 45mm. I now own a Panasonic S5 and a Fujifilm XE4, is it a good idea to sell both for the S9? Mostly travel, street photography and everyday lifestyle.

It'd certainly simplify your photography a lot if you do that.
But, I really miss having an EVF, and I had some problems shooting indoors /w flickers because of the lack of mechanical shutter.
It was happening only under certain LED lights, but I was definitely getting dark streaks across some pictures, and it was pretty annoying having to tinker with random shutter speeds to get rid of it.
I'm not too sure if I'm going to keep it just yet. It feels very much like an X-E4.. Just slightly bigger and heavier, but only just.

@@camera.muggle I used to own a sigma fp and I think I could live without an evf. But for everyday carry the XE4 has no ibis and is not comparable with Panasonic in terms of low light performance and video functionality. Maybe I could live with a S9 and a film camera with evf haha

Nice video … I agree with you regarding sony’s screen … the keep the same screen resolution since long time ago …it’s only 0.92M dots while lumix is double that 1.83 M dots

S9's screen is so much sharper and brighter.
I recently had a chance to compare both at a shop again, and S9's was noticeably better.

Yeah, silver top is really nice in person. I was worried that it'd look tacky when I placed the order online, but it's actually not as shiny and makes the camera look even smaller. It would've been nice if there was an option to get silver top with different bottom colors though.

Could you comparing the Sony a7c2 and Lumix S9? I'm struggling to choose one of them.

    • @camera.muggle
      @camera.muggle  Před měsícem

Unfortunately I sold my A7C2, so I can't do a direct comparison, but I can make one recommendation.
If I were to own ONE camera, I'd choose the A7C2. It's just much more flexible in terms of its features and more comfortable to use because of better ergonomics and additional dials/buttons. And on top of that, the lens selection is not even comparable. Sony wins hands down.
But if you already have a main camera, and you are looking for a second camera for trips/everyday carry, etc, then the S9 might suit you more because it's more of a "fun camera" than a workhorse.
I got rid of my A7C2 and got the S9 instead just for that reason. The A7C2 was overlapping too much with my main camera, Fujifilm X-H2S. It just wasn't too fun. X-H2S could already do what A7C2 was designed to do. So having A7C2 felt redundant, while the S9 provideded more fun, on-the-go experience.

I'm looking for a place in Seoul that sells this camera.

I think Hi-Mart online has some in stock. It could soon be sold out though.
But I don't think this camera is in demand that much, so I'm sure most offline stores will have it in stock once all the pre-orders are shipped out.
