The Amazing Village of Melbu in Nordland County of Norway 2023 Spring | Hikers Paradise in Norway

Hey everyone, Spring 2023, it's my day off today, I am having a lovely and relaxing walk in the village where I am working. Melbu (The Pearl of Vesteraalen) is an amazing and relaxing village in Hadsel Municipality of Nordland county, Norway. The village is located on the island of Hadseløya on the northern shore of the Hadselfjorden. Famous for hiking adventure site, annual Sommer-Melbu festival and acquaculture processing industry.
Melbu has a beautiful church, museum, a school centre, different local shops, supermarkets, a gym, petrol station, a huge and beautiful hotel restaurant and ferry connection to the village of Fiskebøl on the island of Austvågøya to the south via the Melbu-Fiskebøl Ferry. The nearest
airport, Stokmarknes Airport, Skagen, is about 25 kilometres to the north.

I came here around 7 years ago for a month to visit my family here before they moved, and I still haven't forgotten the breath-taking scenery and the general feeling of freedom even though it is quite rural and there isn't a lot of things to do other than hike. I hope to visit this lovely village again one day.
