  • Varvarovsky Bridge (Ukrainian Varvarivskyi Myst) - a drawbridge across the Southern Bug River, built on the so-called Varvarovskaya melee. He joins Varvarovka and the rest of Nikolayev.
    In 1957, the bridge was commissioned by Mostopoyezd No. 444 Mostostroy No. 1 (now Mostootryad No. 73, one of the branches of Mostobud) under the leadership of the Lenin Prize laureate Lev Georgievich Kareli. The author of the project is the chief engineer of the institute "Kievgiprotrans" Andrey Ananievich Karpachev [1]. Employees of the Black Sea Shipbuilding Plant, a plant for handling equipment, a plant of concrete products and other Nicholas enterprises took part in the construction of the Varvarovsky Bridge.
    July 18, 1964 was opened on the bridge, and on August 27 he was handed over to the State Commission.
    In 1991, from July to October, the metal structures of the orthotropic slab plate and the asphalt pavement were replaced.
    In 2001-2004, work was carried out to repair the carriageway of the bridge.
    For the first time in the USSR, the manufacture of all-ferrule reinforced concrete beams, with the curvilinear placement of prestressed beams, with a span of 65.4 m, was successfully mastered. The weight of the beams is 375 tons. The beams are made on stands on the shore. For the first time an inventory metal formwork was used. With the help of truss lifters the beams were raised on floating supports and delivered to the flight.
    Uniqueness
    For the first time in the practice of domestic bridge construction, the inclined piles of the shell fell with vibration dipping. Sections up to 6 m long were manufactured by centrifugation and enlarged immediately to full length using monolithic reinforced concrete joints (instead of the previously used flanged metal bolt joints). Immersion of full length piles with the use of an original method of washing allowed to conduct work without interruption for their joining and extension in the ground. Diving work is minimized.
    The construction of the bridge over the South Bug River is included in the list of objects of the indicative construction of the Ministry of Transport of the USSR. Construction experience was taken into account in the construction of the largest bridge in Europe at that time across the Volga River near Saratov and the construction of the Metro Bridge in Kiev.
    Specifications
    The length of the bridge across the Southern Bug is 750.7 meters. The total length together with the bulk part is about 2 kilometers.
    Scheme: 18.4 m + 2 * 27.6 m + 4 * 65.4 m + divorce part 128.7 m + 4 * 65.4 m.
    The sprawling span structure of length 2 * 64.35 = 128.73 m (the only horizontal layout in the country, turning by 90 ° on the central support).
    The width of the bridge is 15.7 m, the carriageway is 10.5 m, the two sidewalks are 2.11 m in width.
    Span structures:
    • 65.4 m - consists of 4 prestressed reinforced concrete beams. Height of the support - 3,4 m, in the span - 3,25 m. The thickness of the plate - 18 cm. Consumption of concrete M450 is 0,65 m³ / m², reinforcement 84 kg / m² (including high-strength wire 54,5 kg / m²).
    • 18 and 27.4 m - monolithic reinforced concrete (on solid scaffolding).
    • Floating span - metal 5.22 thousand tons, reinforced concrete prestressed plate of passage.
    Supports: monolithic reinforced concrete. In the lower basement in a massive granite lining.
    Foundations: high pile grillage of channel supports on 12-17 pile-shells Ø 1.16 m in length from 24.7 to 32.8 m. In total, 138 piles of them are loaded:
    • 117 pieces with a slope of 4: 1 (the remaining almost vertical - a slope of 10: 1).
    • 46 pieces with camouflage broadening (on four supports).
    The bridge is designed for a temporary load of H-18 and NK-80 for no-106-53 and a crowd of 500 kg / m² on the sidewalks.

    Длина моста через Южный Буг - 750,7 метров. Общая протяжённость вместе с насыпной частью составляет около 2 километров.
    Разводное пролётное строением длиной 2 * 64,35 = 128,73 м (единственная в стране горизонтальная разводка, поворотом на 90° на центральной опоре).
    Ширина моста - 15,7 м, проезжая часть - 10,5 м, два тротуара по 2,11 м в свету.

    Было-бы более логично сделать две поворотные платформы. Тогда-бы проход был шире. И было-бы меньше проблем.
