- Join me on my morning walk through the gardens of Vienna’s Schönbrunn Palace. This is my favorite place in Vienna and it was here that I fell in the love with the city over 20 years ago.

It's been a very long time but it is nice to see this, i was here 20 years ago, nice to see it again, my mother loves gardens, ❤️ she dragged us to them, while the building is amazing, it is the gardens i remember ❤️

Thanks for watching. Yes, it is quite a hike. The hill is taller than it looks from the bottom, but worth the trek. I’ll have to do it more often now, as It’s probably been 8 years since I went up there last.

I’m so glad you came to Vienna. It’s a great city. Yes, poor Maria Antonia. The children of monarchs never had a choice back then of whom they are with. Marriages were just a tool for political gain.

Sus ruins. Haha. Well you will have to come here. The Palm House area is my favorite section too and it’s never crowded, no matter what time because the tour groups just won’t spend enough time there to show the whole gardens.

Aww, Gene, thanks for the hike up. Wow to 10 visits to Vienna! My family lives throughout Europe, and often speaks of the beauty of Vienna! Do you know which cathedral is in the distance at 16:31 on the right side? It reminds me of the Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom) in Germany, not too far from the Frankfurt Airport. Definitely worth a visit. You can climb to the top for an amazing view! The foundation stones were laid in 1248. It's spectacular! Thank you for vlogging this amazing trip! I'm seeing Vienna for the first time through your eyes! Love the history you are sharing. Makes the moments even more meaningful.

The first time I was there I thought it was Saint Stephen’s Cathedral, which is Central Vienna, but it isn’t. It’s the Kirchenbeitragsstelle. I have never been but had to look it up. Where does your family live? Thanks for watching.

@@KindnessMatters_ I’ve been to Berlin (several times, it’s one of my favorite cities), Koln, Dusseldorf, Munich, Stuttgart. I love Germany. I hate cold weather so I’ve only been to Europe once in the winter and it was in January. Do you come often?
