They offered him 2/48. That's a better deal than the one he just got.
Kerr is the reason. He decided to have Klay come off the bench for Podz a rookie to start, is the beginning of the end of Klay as a Warrior. That affected him , his future contract and how fans perceive him.

As a fan of Warriors, if the owner decide to stick with Curry today then they should put a team that works for Curry today and should not worry about the future of the team because anything can happen, for example you can have a well trained Kuminga and others but injuries could happen to any athletes then work on your team today. Beside most super stars today are not from top picks.

I believe Curry wants at least another championship or 2 before he retire say within 2-3 years, and if salary cap is the problem with Warriors then I think Curry should take less to beef up the team for the fans, since money is not a problem with Curry can easily make more money from his fame. Warriors should replace Green with Markkanen to join Looney, Trayce and Quintin. Remove Wiggins and a young player for Ingram to join Curry.

At times Klay was my favorite Warrior but he's leaving in a bad way for me. His 40 million last year made the Warriors unable to compete in free agency. It sounds like expected the Warriors to continue to overpay him and was offended when they offered fair value for a third or fourth best player on the team.
He rehabbed for two years and got paid. Came back and got a ring. Ego was bigger than the team. Nobody should "want you" you should come back and "Earn it" That's ok you can go 0-10 for Dallas and they will still respect you...I guess..
Klay’s ego is his downfall. Everyone but HIM saw his declining performance last season. Inconsistent on offense and his lock down defense is gone. His performance was not up to par with Warriors’ standards BUT was still offered fair value but his ego couldn’t take it and went to Dallas for LESS!

The Warriors need the right three addition players to contend and win more NBA championships during the Stephen Curry era! (1 ). Center ( Who can score efficiently, defend without fouling, rim protector, great rebounding! ( We already have Looney & TJD )( 2 ). A good two way wing players who is a second scorer ( 20 to 30 point range ) 3. A solid backup point guard who can score, defend, play with pace, take care of the ball! We can play with any team, when we play fast, with the proper pace and physicality! When we fast break and eliminate turnovers we are pretty much unstoppable and unbeatable! I still believe that the Warriors can win 1 to 3 more championship in the Stephen Curry era with the right players! Team Stephen Curry! Team Jesus!

At this stage of their careers, it’s easier to replace Klay’s skills than the skills that Green brings to the table. Green is still Steph’s most trusted playmaker and he still brings other intangibles. I wish we could have kept Klay but I understand.
