Only homelander can make a human character look more dangerous in a horror movie than the ghost itself 😂
Exactly!!
OMG!!! i saw dad and thought, that guy looks familiar....hahaha
I only see him as the sheriff from Banshee xD
@@MrHestolemyname is he an asshole in banshee too lol?
Right...O...
I love that this movie centers on one of the most frustrating things in any horror movie. When the parents think their child is just imagining things.
You know the parents are the villains in this movie, right?
It' looks more like the dad is hiding something behind the wall. And telling the kid to shut up so he don't ruin his evil secrets
I think the kid is haunted
The parents are serial killers. Their victims are the ones haunting Peter.
Seems like but i bet the twist is his parents are evil n the knocks hes hearing is his actual parents.
I like the idea of how instead of having the mother always be the one around trying to solve the mystery after being scared shitless by the ghosts, this time around the mother seems to be straight up possessed from the start and never bats an eye or is scared, as she's the one scaring her kid.
She also looks to be loving though
Babadook did both
Yeah she the bad one I bet.
SO the father doesn't seem possessed to you? He isn't also scaring the kid? 🤣
@@jenifercharles5965 Maybe not. Usually the mother is the one getting scared by everything while the husband notice nothing. He might be on to it or just believe his son make things up. It's not clear in the trailer much, unlike the mother.
When your father is Homelander, it is a horror indeed.
Yep, ghost ain't got S#%@ compared to a guy that could massacre a crowd of people on a whim
I was wondering where I’ve saw him before !!! Righttttt
Horror is finally becoming more mainstream and attracting better writers/actors. As an adult, I'm dying for the return of smart, well written/acted R rated movies.
I don't know, did you see boogyman? that flick sucked!!!!
@@mcchrism if you enjoy cheese acting with no plot and shit dialogue, that means you're easily entertained. More money invested in script writing, quality acting and special effects allow better odds of a better finished product. It's not a difficult concept. There's still lots of crap new horror, but it's a genre that's historically had more duds than successes, so that's not a surprise.
Horror Movies are hard to come by. . .I miss being pulled into the movie where I'm curled in a ball with a blanket that covers me. As for my confession about being in a ball; I'm a full grown adult/parent that finds it hard to be scared/entertained of crappy movies. I really do hope that the writer are digging deep and can really focus on doing their job but the same goes for every other genre movie today and in the future. Movies are not being made like they were. . .plus I think it would be nice for them to step out of the CIG every now and then; it would really force them to bring out their creativity.
'horror is finally becoming more mainsteam'. Gosh I feel old. You do know they were for a long time.
Disregarding that horror has been "mainstream" as much as it can since before you were born (Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm St., Halloween, Scream, etc.)
Idk how this proves that? Seems like a par for the course horror movie that fits well with what is popular in the 2010's like Conjuring, Sinister, Babadook, Hereditary, etc.
I really like the premise for this. Creating tension with the disbelieving parents, helplessness from the child, primal fears of the dark; it’s a great recipe!
if you like the theme of primal fear of the dark you should watch Skinamarink (or maybe not lol)
Antony Starr looks dangerous even without Highlander outfit. Definitely gonna watch!
You mean Homelander? xD
There can only be one!
You’ve never seen banshee have you?
Why
@@soldaten-norbert8520 highlander xDDD
If nothing else, this movie finally has a reason for the parents to be so oblivious and negligent: they're in on it. Getting "The People Under the Stairs" vibes, but without the satire and social commentary.
ah someone gets it.
People Under the Stairs is sooooo fucking good
People in the Wall
@@monstachruck6482underrated as well.... That scared the shit out of me when I watched it as a kid
One of my favorites fr, I loved people under the stairs, jeeper creepers , pet cemetery, beautiful horror movies❤
I am a simple man: I see Anthony Starr, I will watch the movie
Banshee!
Anthony who??? 😂😂
I always said he'd be great in a horror movie
Why
I dont know any anthony i just know Homelander and i would pay everytime to watch him.
Coraline vibes! but in all seriousness this looks so good. I'm super excited to see it!
Antony Starr? Hell yeah, I'll definitely watch this movie
I watched the movie yesterday and I got to say it was amazing...the acting of all characters was on point...They effortlessly make you feel uncomfortable and on the edge of your seat. Well-done.
We watched two totally different movies than, or your standards for films is just very very very very very very low. You sound easy to entertain. This entire movie was terrible, and that's being nice. The movie was nothing near amazing. The acting was good yes, but even that couldn't save it from itself. The movie ate itself alive from the start. So many plot holes, unanswered questions and things that just outright made no sense at all. I left a more detailed review comment above, not gonna type it all again here. But this was worse than the new Insidious movie, and that's saying something because that movie didn't feel like a horror movie at all. It felt like a father son relationship drama with a few jump scares sprinkled in. This entire movie had me laughing my ass off with how much I noticed that was wrong with it.
@@WhateverProduction4 I have high standards for movies and I have a thing for horror movies. And most movies nowadys have plot holes and unanswered questions even the best ones. So, you can take your ridiculous excuse and shove it down your ass.
The trailer creeped me tf out and I laugh at every horror film I’ve watched since I was a child lol
@annieleonhart4867 Bruh what? That makes no sense at all and makes a terrible movie. You clearly have very low expectations, and IQ, if you actually think an amazing movie is something that still has major plot holes, unanswered questions and things that just make absolutely no sense at all. Lol don't ever go watch any real horror movies or you wont just be on the edge of your seat, you'll have piss running down your leg, if you thought this crap was scary. I'm a movie buff all around bud, you can sit there and tell you your a horror movie fanatic all you want, that doesn't fix any of the problems this movie had that made it absolutely terrible.
The movie was such a trash, and super predictable
Great cast, great director, def on ky watch list
The mum is clearly a monster of some kind to but she does also seem loving at the same time. Got to hand it to the actress because that’s not an easy combo to pull off.
i think this might drew some adaption from animated horror movie where girl find secret door with alternate parent, i didn't remember what the name was but i remember their eye replace with button😅
@@lordmiow Coraline
@@lordmiow I think VHS explored this as well
I have a feeling the scary ghosts will turn out to be the good guys and the parents are the bad guys.
I think they gave away pretty much the entire the plot in the trailer.
@@gerardjayetileke4373 I was just thinking the same thing.
Erm...Homelander
@@gerardjayetileke4373 Tell me the whole plot now, and we can compare it to when it comes out.
I mean, in the trailer the female ghost is a mother.
What nice, understanding, protective parents!
That film looks pretty good and it has Antony Starr in it!
This movie was really good. Rarely horror movies can hold my attention like this one did.
Antony Starr is such a G. can't get enough of him. >:)
In the writers room:
"So ... what if we made Coraline R-rated?"
"Genius!"
Coraline is almost R-rated honestly.
this movie has NOTHING to do with that... aint nobody gon see the twist in this movie comin...
I did not see the plot twist coming, this movie was amazing and quite spooky!
This LOOKS Amazing! I hope the movie fulfills this mytho-poetic teaser!
Creepy. And then the dad burns up all the cobwebs with his laser eyes.
AND pushes his son off a roof- don't forget.
Never neglect how toxic a family can be secrets or not. To a parent often a child is just another human who knows a lot less than they do they forget what it was like to be inexperienced and scared.
true words no doubt
@trocka3524 I'm saying for the parents who disregard their kids out of blind instinct.
@trocka3524thanks, you made me feel young again at 36.
They should called it "the knocking" because this movie is about the wall knocking sounds
Man gotta admit, Anthony Starr looks so good with evil faces he is just too good
Looks like the parents are hiding something.... I feel this is going to be a great scary movie with a good plot. Can't wait 🤩
It looks like utter shite what are you on about.
I’ve seen it and it was.
Wrong
@@dayostical Right. The Sister (Spoiler Alert)
@@esoterra8050 Wrong. It wasn't a great scary movie and the plot had a bunch of holes.
Yup. The parents have been hiding their eldest daughter secretly behind the wall because she is a demonic person.
It's nice to see Lizzy Caplan in this movie. She's incredible in Castle Rock.
Fatal attraction as well
I don't watch horror movies often, but I feel like the massive reveal is the parents being in on the "horror", but here it is in the trailer. I'm not an expert, but I would imagine that these would be the most interesting and satisfying moments in the film.
Definitely the parents harboring something 😆
Well, it was not haha, very far from that lmao
Will watch it because of Antony Starr, that guy scares me without even trying.
Man that running ghost scene is a pure jumpscare 🥲
This looks so good, Im already in suspense at the reveal is!
OOOh wow! What did I stumble upon?! :O LOOKS SICK! I wanna see it!
Definitely giving Caroline vibes, I need to watch it
Fr
Definitely keeping my eye open for this one!!
Hahaha the one scene is just too funny where the kid asks for his mom and she start sprinting to him. 🤣
This movie looks amazing, I’m sad that I missed it during its time in theaters, I didn’t see a lot of marketing of this movie but it does look interesting. Indie Horror movies deserve to get more attention. And I also just came up an idea for a horror movie just from watching this.
This looks like a movie you don’t want to watch alone.
This looks so great! And thank you for the Halloween imagery!
Best trailer I've seen in 3 years 😩😩😩👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Really can't tell a kid not to have nightmares when it's just a natural thing
How does he manage carry the homelander personality in all the movies he acts in
its called being a one trick
It's called type casting
The music in this is amazing
I love the "no more nightmares" - ok no worries mum and dad i'm instantly cured! Shakes Head
Im surprised the kid is more scared of the ghost than having homelander as his dad
Homelander and Ryan finally getting the family they deserve!!
Goosebump...
Someone said this was a live action Coraline and if so I’ll be overjoyed
And the fact that it's called Cobweb makes it somehow make sense
There’s even that small door, and the mother seems to be a spider like creature, maybe a Coraline prequel
Same thoughts
Haunted House - check
Children seeing ghosts - check
Confused Parents - check
Concerned Teachers - check
Lets release the movie guys
Parents are anything but confused
hahahaa
This has a very "People Under The Stairs" feel to it, where the twist is the parents are crazy and there are kidnapped children in their walls, or at least something to that effect.
More like Coraline
Just with the thumbnail I had goosebumps
Done watching. This movie is really good! 👍
1:10 - now THAT is unusual.
Nah. It's totally normal.
what? i dont get it
When I read "from the producer of Barbarian" I tought "ooo damn, this is going to be good"
Why
Barbarian was lame
I watched the movie yesterday and oh my gosh it’s scarier then it seems
makes me so happy, it is so hard to find good horror
just wish they didnt spoil so much in the trailer
2023 is the year of great movie's scary and true stories...
This was not a scary or true story
Homelander in a horror movie? Damn, hats off to vought for this idea!
Yessssss Anthony!!!!! 😍
Looks awesome!
It might be a bit tough, not to see Homelander with Antoni Starr but I'll try.
And I love Lizzy Caplan! I just watched FATAL ATTRACTION & she was pretty good.
I'll give it a watch for sure!
She was awesome in Masters of Sex too
@@richardferrara3000 I will have to check that one out then. Thx Richard.
EDIT: Just watched the trailer. It is a 4 seasons series. Not sure I'll be willing to sit down for that long though. 46 episodes in all.
okay, so I know the plot of the entire movie now. Congratulations. And thank you, I guess, for saving me the time to watch it
You chose to watch the trailer. And what if you don't know the plot?
I'd definitely wait until it's free
It's always the concerned teacher 😂
I got a shiver on this one.
I love horror movies and i surprice that anthony starr was in this movie great cast heartly waiting for thos movie😨❤️
Surprised brother.
Antony Starr is the real danger in this movie XD
Horror that makes full use of Camera angles, lighting, and practical effects are my favorite films these days. Less CGI the better so it can be maximized for its impact.
Best Horror movie in a long time hope there will be a part 2
Well, now I know the twist and exactly what is going to happen (especially with the skull in the back yard) - thanks movie trailer, way to give it all away in 3 minutes 🥴

It's cool when Anthony says "It's cobbin time" and turns into a spider
Why
I didn't see that part.
Definitely one of the movies of all time
Ok, the plot is pretty obvious from my perspective- the parents are obvious psychos (or at the very least the dad possibly although the mom is creepy AF too) and peter's hearing either the barely alive victims in the walls or their ghosts making all the noises. Either way, the parents seem to be in on whatever's going on- and yet it still looks interesting enough to watch even if the plot seems obvious ^^
Yeah I was thinking the same thing, ghost are like the victim trying to warn the boy.
Reminds me of Poe's, The Tell-Tale Heart.
Exactly my guess. Parents are probably serial killers and their kid kinda knows what's going on and tries to cope with it by imagining ghosts and hearing noises (probably the victims) while the parents try to gaslight him and others into thinking it's just his imagination.
@@lukawalli honestly, I wish they'd change the trailer a bit cause they make it a little too obvious- i mean the father taking the teacher into the kitchen in an eerie manner while HOLDING A HAMMER (serious red flag the teacher should've noticed) and seeming to have no other importance to the trailer or plot in terms of comforting the kid like the mother is, it kinda makes it a bit obvious what's going on here X/ there's a dime a dozen movies like this- none i can name out on the top of my hand but I know they exist. If they showed the parents being haunted too or trying to protect their son more, THEN it would've been less obvious that they were responsible for all this- heck that would've been a great twist when the movie came out since the trailers wouldn't have shown it!!!
@@fedorsilva7687 No kidding X/ I mean you get the occasional rare one like Smiley or....................... well damn idk any other besides that in recent years, but the few rare horror films these days actually know HOW to make their trailers right compared to the majority these days...
To hear the knock knock knock in the middle of the night is one thing...
"Let's combine every horror story cliche and spin a web around it. What should we call it?"
"Urm.. Cobweb?"
"Your hired!"
Rules for surviving on a horror situation
-if you are withing a group, do not split up.
-if you are black, do not enter first to any room.
-if your kid says he see something strange during the night. MOVE OUT.
-if you are a woman, drop the high hills.
- and last...no, it was not your imagination.
The black rule doesn't apply no more. Now it's Asians. Blacks are now the survivors while Asians get killed first
I am going to watch it now.. It reminds me the Coralain film,i have this feeling, prob wrong, but it's okay! I will come back after watching.
Coroline vibes
Looks good, will see this movie, yeah love movies like this when no one beleaves their son, then they get a shock of their life that's a great story.
This is one of those movies that just make you wish parents would take their kids more seriously. If that was me I would have moved my kid in my room for a night, spent another night with the rooms swapped and if it still bothered the kid I'd move us.
Unless the parents are hiding something... which seems to be the vibe i get....
But absolutely, as a parent, if your kid is that scared, heck I would even move to help them. Anything to make sure they are ok... that's a normal parents reaction I would hope... so that fact they are so far the other direction points to the parents having some issue themselves...
It’s about time they put Anthony in a horror flick
He already is in a horror series called The Boys, and he actually plays the main horror villain.
@@Heretic1408it's violent, but The Boys isn't a horror series.
@@scottmiller8617 i know dude, in Cogman's own words, "i was making it more epic"
@@scottmiller8617 Many scenes with Homelander feel scarier than a lot of Horror films tbh.
Most scenes with Homelander gives off a creepy, uneasy aura that even horror icons like Jason or Michael Myers could never pull off. He could kill any and everybody over something incredibly petty or he could just fuck with you and make your life so miserable to the point drives you insane.
how it ended there needs to be a part 2
this remind me of an episode I can't remember what show but it's horror show with different story per episode, one episode is like this the kid were also hearing tapping noise from the wall but his parents said there is nothing and when he investigate with their friends they found out there is some monster in the wall that his parents are feeding in return they got lucky.
That woman running scene is so good
Is that the kid's mom? What a fucking weirdo! Imagine what kind of kinky shit she is into in the privacy of her own bedroom!
That looked like shit. Are you serious?
*BARBARIAN and IT were great movies, right. Very Scary. Other than that, the cast of this movie is great. And the trailer intrigued me.* 😌

Horror is a genre.
Don't keep your hopes up. It's very bad.
Ah yes, the time-tested and flawlessly effective method of stopping nightmares: Tell your kid not to have nightmares. A+ parenting, no notes.
problem fixed
This looks amazing
This actually looks pretty good
Decent movie, 4/5 acts of it are great. POTENTIAL SPOILERS: The final act is where it completely fell off for me, everything leading up to that point was really good but after they reveal the full look I couldn't feel it anymore, felt like the tension was gone and it was some cheesy cheaper looking effects, I don't know, but realistically if you look back at the first 4/5ths of the movie after all the events it opens up more things that don't make sense. Still like a 6/10 I suppose.
After the Boogeyman im stoked for any jumpscare and suspense ish horror movie cuz that's what scares me the most more than the boring physiological ones which i hope this brings to the table which i can tell it's not
