Great Video! What put me off of Chrono Clash was the fact that you couldn’t mix IPs. If I want to have Naruto fight along side Godzilla, I should be able to. Why make a card game featuring multiple series if you can’t mix and match them? It’s like setting a little kid down in front of a toy box and saying you can play with either the Power Ranger toys or the Transformers toys, but the Power Rangers can’t play with the Transformers...? Why??? The Chrono Clash System (CCS) had HUGE potential but was handled poorly. But I’m definitely looking forward to the Digimon Card Game since it looks like it fixes a lot of the issues that were seen in CCS. It was incredibly successful it’s first year in Japan and I hope we find it to be just as successful in the Global release of the game.
Obviously, I'm really late to this reply, but I agree. The multiple IP concept was reminiscent of Weiss Schwarz without the execution. I had read that the lack of cross-IP combat was because of licensing issues, but why didn't they work that out before releasing something that was advertised as under one umbrella? I wish they had handled it better since I'm a huge Godzilla nerd, but alas, I will have to settle for one of my other favorite IPs to play with the Chrono Clash system. Now, I just hope Toho gets involved with Bushiroad for a Weiss Schwarz set with the announcement of the new Godzilla anime.
very cool video was the audio desynced from the video or was that just on my end? also a lot of great points never heard of the game before nice learning opportunity as an aspiring game dev
Lol, yep. And when the Godzilla set came out, they announced different IPs couldn't compete against each other in tournaments. I'm pretty sure the game is dead now and was probably just a testing ground for the Digimon Card Game.
