  • Funmi Odeniyi, a newcomer from Lagos, Nigeria, turned her passion for fashion into a thriving business in Nova Scotia, Canada. Influenced by her seamstress grandmother, she made her first outfit when she was only 10 years old.
In 2016, she and her family migrated to Nova Scotia, where she began her new life by purchasing a sewing machine and creating outfits for herself, friends, and neighbors. With the support of ISANS Business Development services, she gained essential business skills, connected with a supportive network, and received invaluable guidance from her business counselor.
Starting as a one-woman team, she has now grown her business and was even nominated for the ISANS Immigrant Women Entrepreneurship Award. Her journey exemplifies resilience and determination, and it proves that passion fuels perseverance and success.
