I feel that this period in the band's life was the best possible combination of youth, talent and confidence.
And drugs.
@@yoyolebatteur they were actually pretty drug free at this stage. There best stage was Blood Sugar, it is a pity that Anthony couldn't look after Jonny a little better through that time.
@@matthewvicendese1896 dude theyre coked up as fuck. Look at their facial expressions 😂
That was the transition for the begining of the band that everybody knows
xDDD
Hillel Slovak gave birth to the LA 80's sound.
Right on!!!!!
John's pedalboard in 1990: 1 pedal
John's Pedaboard today: 94 pedals
@@iii2187 Does he even play anything from the 80's? I don't think so. It's just the hits from BSSM + Californication and up. Minus Josh stuff. Very weird.
@@TheFuckingViciousSometimes the Peppers play Out In L.A, go take a look at some of the 2023 lives.
Jeez you people are acting like it's common knowledge to know everything about John frusciante. Its music chill tf out wikapedia readers. The guy is RHCP. He brought them out the clubs and into the mainstream. Every album without him sucks besides the first 2-3 albums (hillel recorded fire on MM) and I don't even bother learning them on guitar so i can see why he doesnt want to play any of that shit. Keidas is the diva. John didnt want to deal with his "rock star", dream bullshit and left. He does what he wants and the first time he left he was on his way to death with addiction. Everyone thinks their so smart talking down to others about shit they google themselves. If John's not on the album, I don't really want to hear it.
@@devilkid292 So basically, you're saying that One Hot Minute, I'm With You and The Getaway suck JUST BECAUSE Frusciante isn't in it? Grow up you fkin fanboy.
@@devilkid292 "If John's not on the album, I don't really want to hear it" - Lol, no one cares.
Mother's Milk is such an unique album
I can’t tell if it’s over-produced or not, but it’s a fantastic album.
They really were the most exciting band in the world back then. Hard to believe it's the same lineup nowadays given how little of this stuff they still play. Surprising how early they dropped Knock Me Down from their set cause it sounds great here.
John's action is crazy high
thank you for this post
where the fuck has this been these last 25 years fellas
It's great to have the chance to enjoy this kind of content.... thank you so much
Esto es oro...
I love you all I hope everyone is doing good today
These are the peppers that are hot. These are the songs that I fell in love with peppers. A lot of coke, passion, doing what they love and doing it hardcore.
Today "Red Hot Chili Peppers" is just a commercial name, because I can't see nothing that is actually hot, and spicy like chili on pepper in these last albums.
Лучшая группа на Земле🔥🎸
That Zappa song was a hit.
Frusciante in his prime
This is the band I love. A year or two before they really blew up and hit the mainstream. This is my Chili Peppers. 🌶
They were already mainstream in 1984, 1985.
@@Pedrogog Nope.
the best era
@@Pedrogog Thats not true
My peppers are with Hillel Slovak
I saw these creepers live in '99 and the bass guy was playing 2 songs at once just for kicks ...
YEEEEEEEEES
Godamn, I'd hate to be Chad's snare drum.
Id hate to be his plash, ride or hi-hat.
RHCP All Day 💥
flea mirando a john cuando estan empezando a tocar la cancion de Jimi Hendrix 😍😍
Keidis is a weird looking guy. His vocals actually sound pretty bangin here tho
Can't sing a note
@@CP-kb1du I never said that he could
energy bomb :D
cant understand a word. I can tell they were dressing really unusual & moving unusual. This was ariound the try to be different era.
Well they were an interesting alt rock band, indeed different. Today they are great but just a great pop band. Which is ok.
RHCP 💯 "They were meant to be" 🎧
39:19 Mommy Where’s Daddy?
Estos manes estaban locos aksjaja
John has 4 pedals from what I see. Crazy I think he’s got 40 now on his board.
The "effects' unit industrial complex" didn't start going into hyperdrive until the mid-90s.
Also, John being influenced by post-punk and various forms of electronic had a lot to do with the influx of pedals. Those are genres where you have to have a lot of things going off all at once.
@@evanwright9016yes Weezers blue album famously used no pedals
Dr. Funkenstein!!
they were good, but their best came one year after this and they still in that wave
John i sooo high
33:23
13:13 I'm a little pea
John with a Les Paul!
Wonder what John was all pissed off about at the start.
Well they jumped around a lot in those days
Where is bulletproof
And then they made….the zephyr song..
I like the zephyr song
Slide to 39: 20
Who's the guy on the 3d voice right from the left of the stage?
Keith Barry
@@guiyeii aka Tree
Ooohhh funky crime, and other uplift mofo songs...the amazing transition of the band that everybody knows...
😆
I've only seen John playing live with a les paul twice
good call. and a 3 banger Custom to boot!
Fun fact
They are from california
Not entirely true. Flea was born in Australia, Frusciante was born in NYC, Chad and Anthony were born in Michigan. However they embody Cali and that’s their home base
Who is on guitar? Frusciante? Is this one year before Blood Sugar Sex Magic?
Yes. John was 19 here.
Yes. John was 19 here.
@@goodbrothermusic2740 He is 20 (born in March '70, Pinkpop took place in May '90)
@24:00 It's a bummer realizing they are doing the same show 33yrs. later. Let's go ahead and innovate.
10 albums since and every shows is different. The best band I ever seen on stage, just pure music. Open urs ears my man, u nearly death
Cocaine is a hell of a drug
Cocaine? It’s all heroin
Anthony has been Cringe since Birth, i see.
Slovak > Frusciante
What a mess
No thanks
