Shaymin are more plentiful than you think. You just don’t notice when a shrub is a shaymin, because it won’t show unless you are overflowing with Gratitude.
This is so pretty. I just finished this, and I was so surprised at the new visuals for just catching shaymin like OMG I GOTTA GO TO YT FOR THE FULL THING AGAIN
How long did it take you to catch it? It keeps breaking out and running away for me I've pretty much given up

Got back on Pokemon Go after a long time. Done the quest. But damn the cutscene’s so beautiful, idk if it’s just me but I don’t even want to catch it so I can rewatch the whole thing whenever I want

It is, but a common criticism I saw is that it doesn’t have the moves to do well in PvP.
I remember turning down the volume, because I was somewhere where I could not have the volume high, so I came here to see the encounter with the audio on. I expected a special theme like someone here does. It's a mythical pokemon!

@@skitterly Have you heard the theme that plays for Latias and Latios in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald Version and the theme that plays for Cresselia in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum Version? It's still the normal pokemon encounter theme, and I did not consider that fitting, because they are legendary pokemons. I think I did hear a few legendary or mythical encounter theme, and I was thinking Cresselia could have used one of them, but I would not consider she used the Lake Trio nor the Dialga and Palkia. I did hear a bit of a remix of the wild pokemon encounter in the Hoenn Gym Leader Battle Theme, but that's because I'm not hearing the theme correctly, because Game Freak stated that they would never remix a wild pokemon encounter theme for a gym leader battle theme, only dummies like me would hear a remix like that, because that remix didn't exist.
Shaymin’a cute the way it came out of the bushes like that.
To everybody asking how to get this Pokémon a few months from now you can catch it for free but you have to log in when the special research is released worldwide otherwise you miss out forever the ticket is basically just for a few bonuses and an early chance to catch shamin but every player will be able to catch it eventually it’s like that every year whatever mythical Pokémon was part of Go Fest will release worldwide at a later date

Ok so how are you managing to get three throws in? I throw a pokeball it instantly breaks out in one shake. I throw another, it shakes twice then breaks out. I throw a third ball and as soon as it touches shaymin it runs away.

You didn’t completely miss out every year after go fest whatever mythical Pokémon was part of the event will be released a few months later for free just keep an eye on the game and the in game news if you don’t log in within a certain amount of days after the special research comes out than you will miss it forever

I been inactive on the days when Shadow Raikou and Shadow Entei came to Pokemon Go, but that is the best thing about these research tasks is that I have to log in on the day they become available on or I will miss them forever. Just to limit how long they are available for shows how smart they are and it makes the game more enjoyable.

You didn’t need to buy the ticket to get one. Just do the quest. I got one and I wasn’t a ticket holder you got this! 😊

So there is no chance to catch it, even after completing the Quest? It always runs away after the 3. Pokeball and the Game Tells you, the Pokemon can not be found...

@@charmander8066 i was able to catch it now. The Problem was, that i had no Pokeballs. So to catch it, you need at least 3 Pokeballs in your Inventory. (it's scripted that it always jump out of 2 Balls and sit in the 3rd one.)

You will have a chance to catch shamin a few months from now every year after go fest whatever Pokémon was part of the event is released you just have to log in a few days after the special research is released it’s also free
There's another chance at getting Shaymin. When I logged into Pokemon Go a couple of days ago, another Shaymin Special Research Task appeared. When I read about it, I was dissappointed it was the Normal Shaymin. I was expecting a Shiny Shaymin. A Shiny Celebi did appear as a Special Research Task Pokemon.

@@lucasfriedman1730 I agree with you. I watched the mythical encounter videos again to make sure I was not missing anything. I noticed Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, and Victini use the same music. Hoopa uses the same music that was used for trying to catch the raid pokemon that you beat. Meloetta has a cute theme. I guess none of those music were a good fit for Shaymin, but I would not prefer the raid pokemon catch music, I prefer something special.

In-game store: "YOU MUST PLAY AT THE SPECIFIED TIMES IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THESE BONUSES." The event ended at 6:00 P.M. local time, so you were too late. I recommend playing on Sunday between 10:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. to see if it will give you the research.
