In today's episode we consider the Citroen C4 by Loeb. The WRC version of this car is one of the most successful race cars of all time. So when the road car came out many had high expectations and were left dissapointed. I have one, but it's the 1.6 diesel one, it's good looking and cheap to run.

Purchased a C4 VTS last year absolutely love it. EW10J4S catcams, decat, filter, redline lifted to 7700 and remap pushing 203bhp from an NA is pretty good. Turbo is next 🎉
What air filter do you use? I have the kn panel air filter. Also, did you use ken camshaft?
@C4vts180 I have an aftermarket cone filter with custom pipe low down using the original ducting and extra pipe for ram air. I have Cat Cams 804 as it runs a 256 profile able to run on standard ecu and valves etc. Next mod is a full turbo kit from Lorent Motors in France. Can easily run 280/300 bhp on standard internals with these. Anything more then it's big upgrades.
@@slats8376 i was about to put a turbo from laurent too. However right now i am thinking of putting 2.2 block from ew12, with ew10 head, high compression pistons (12.5-13), and cams. With all this its gonna be around 225whp.
I have C4 Loeb black edition. Engine and turbo blew up after 140 000 kilometres. New engine and after that timing chain streched after 40 000 km. A lot of money goes for repairs.
In Brazil there is the C4 vtr imported from France

I have a vtr+ with same engine ew10a but 138 bhp , I watch a lot of the Brazilian vids on here , they love the c4 as do I

I have a C4 2.0 16V, 148 HP, Year 2008 - 250 000Km full option; I definitely love it. This car is very confortable, safe and reliable. It never had a breakdown, just standard maintenance. On the other hand, the new 3-cylinder THP engines are very efficient but very fragile because they have design flaws. Several times, I told myself that I had to replace it with a more modern car. I didn't do it and I don't regret it when I see the price and the lack of reliability of the most recent models, whatever the brand. Ok, I don't have a reversing camera and screens aren't in color but my old friend won't betray me if I take care of her and I made her profitable a long time ago... It gives me satisfaction both on mountain roads and on motorways with very healthy behavior.

The only thing I reproach of this car is the gear box ... a 100 km/h the revs are in 3.1 or 3.2 , with a six march, less noise engine, lees consumer fuel, probably longer life engine ...I don´t need more...I don´t care about park assitant, driver´s assistan, apple or android audio car etc.
if do you have any information about how to do swap of gear box, please let me know

Good video 👍, thanks. I've just bought a c4 loeb 110. I've bought it as a future classic, not many 'under the radar' cars that sneak about without scene tax now. I wanted Jap or quirky, went for quirky - probably cost me more in bills but will at least be fairly original. Your vid though has convinced me to have a fiddle with exhaust etc & try to acheive stage 1-2 for a better experience. Cheers & all best, keep up the good content.

The main problem with Citroens from around that time was that terrible steering wheel design with the centre not moving at all
Its a funky design but not for everyone. Apparently because it doesn’t turn they could put a directional airbag in which is safer
Personally, I love this steering wheel design. Everyone is different... 😉
