Akali seems to be dead or missing. The video is showing a parallel story between Xayah and Kai'sa. Both of them lost someone they cared for. They're both having memories of the person they lost. By the end of the video they have both become star guardians(in Xayah's case being redeemed). And they look like they have a resolve to find the missing person. That's why you see Akali and Rakan together at the end because both are "dead/missing." The Akali story is brand spankin new so why she's missing will probably be part of the event story.
If you look up Akali's voicelines, she actually got corrupted but was brought back. She has both chaos and star guardian powers. She left because she is pissed at Kaisa for trading their friendship to being a SG and that she doesn't believe in the beliefs of the First Star, which is that every guardian's fate is to burn bright and burn out in service of the first star. It's like her base skin, where she is still in full service, but she prefers to use other methods

I always thought of the bracelet thing as like a trade that she did to become a guardian. Akali has this line which basically tells that she's only seeing Kai'sa for missions now and when she gave the friendship bracelet charm to Lux, she becomes a guardian. It's like showing that her struggle (which every guardian has) is that she's slowly losing her best friend when she chose becoming a Star Guardian. On the other side of the coin though, on Akali's recall, she becomes corrupted for the first half (it's a representation of how Morgana nearly corrupted her- can be justified by her voiceline during her recall "I won't fall, I won't fall") then Umi gives her the friendship bracelet thing and she goes back to her normal Star Guardian uniform.
This was just my idea about what is going to happen in the story: -In the Twin Star short story it was stated that Akali and Kai'sa are totally opposite to each other, we saw it at the chapter 13 of the story when both of them argued. Akali think that they didn't win since Xayah lost the love of her life in exchange of everyone's safety and on the other hand kai'sa thinks they won bc they were saved and that what sacrifice is. It is clearly that there is guilt, bc earlier in the story Akali felt powerless, she felt that she can't help anyone especially when she looked at the struggling SG's fighting against Zoe's chaos. -I think the reason why Akali will become a SG is simply bc of two things; First when she showed MF her determination to save her friend (kai'sa) when she thought that Kai'sa was in danger, I forgot which chapter it was but the part where MF took her to the park and Akali was keep digging the rubble bc she thought that Kai'sa was underneath it, despite of her cracked nails and bruised hand she insist to not leave the rubble not until she found her friend. I think this part showed MF that Akali has a potential to be a SG, especially the theme of SG was Friendship. It's possible that this is the reason she will become a SG member. Second was to protect everyone including her closest friend Kai'sa. -Let's assume that she was given a power and became SG, why she is with Rakan on that MV? I think it was hinted in chapter 13, She felt guilt about the sacrifice, she felt powerless during that time. If ever she became a SG her first mission is to help find Rakan since she felt bad about his sacrifice, and maybe she felt that she owes him since he saved everyone including his friend. Also he reminds her of her friend Kai'sa who always put herself last and prioritize the important people in her life first. It's likes Akali will use her power, strength to protect kai'sa so Kai'sa will never put herself last and will rely on her, they even make a promise after their argument. -so maybe Akali became SG first and left Kaisa in Valoran city, in hopes to find Rakan and to defeat Zoe (?) since she wanted to protect everyone including Kai'sa. Let's assume that Akali wonders to space to find Rakan, and after she left Lux will make Kai'sa a SG because she has potential too, she has a sense of leadership after all. -So in the part of the MV where Kai'sa became a SG, we saw that Lux handed her the SG badge and in exchange of her forget-me-not bracelet charm, and we saw that she kissed it before she gave it to lux. In chapter 13 of the story, after Kai'sa and Akali's argument, Kai'sa promised that she will rely on Akali. Before Kai'sa promised she looked at their petal bracelets and seal her promise to Akali. But it was also stated that "A small part of Akali worried that this was a promise Kai’Sa was going to break, another opportunity for Kai’Sa to pick Akali over herself" So the scene in the MV where she kissed her petal charm and handed it to Lux is indicating that she is breaking her promise that she is not going to endangering herself and will to pick Akali first instead of her own safety. -I'm not sure but Akali looks like she is corrupted in the MV, if ever that's the case I think both of them (Akali and Rakan) are corrupted but still conscious, they just stayed in the Zoe's shadow. Why? I think to protect their love ones, This was just my idea but there are some stories that some characters will join the enemy 's side to protect those important to them. *Anyways this is just an idea, I can't wait to see what is going to happen in the story.
Maybe there is like a reborn element to the story. The MV and the lyrics really strongly suggested this to me. In a previous time, which is the timeline we are on with the current event, all this went down. Then something happened and everyone sort of had a rebirth and for Xayah and Kai'Sa, the feather and bracelet kind of brings them back to the previous memories and regrets they've had. This leads into the whole memory slideshow effect and when Kai'Sa gives up the bracelet, it is her sacrifice to gain the power to find Akali again or possibly change their story with a new team. I feel like there is a parallel here for Xayah and Kai'Sa.
I think Kai'sa cries while being chosen and TRADES her friendship bracelet to become a Star Guardian because Akali was chosen first, but she is not guided by the starguardian principles, making her an enemy. She cries because she had to favor duty and renounce her friendship/love for Akali to do so. Following the tragic destiny of all starguardians. For me its such an impactful scene, a beautiful magical girl transforming in pain, and after her final form is imbued of magical power the solemn scene ends and after she just falls to the ground sobbing. I looooooooved it so much its such good visual storytelling
The best way I’ve been thinking about it is that Kai’sa is trading her friendship for helping others. She’s leaving Akali behind to help others. That’s the entire reason they had their argument in the story as well.
What's interesting to me is that Fiddlesticks carries a star with him, in a cage-an eight-pointed one like Soraka's, who I've been suspecting for the longest time is one of the ancient Star Guardians.

Giving up the bracelet charm is symbolizing Kai'sa giving away her friendship with akali to be a star guardian, xayah came back to valoran alone cause the other star guardians are in trouble most likely caused by fiddlesticks and morgana, but xayah escaped came back to valoran and made a new team to find rakan and possibly if this is the case save the other star guardians, akali and rakan are the things missing and desired from our 2 main characters for this video kai'sa and xayah which is why they show up at the end together "Cause when we're gone." Is the part that plays foe them, so this is what i thibk is happening for the video and for the star guardian lore atm but this is just a theory/ my opinion, the video is very symbolic rather than literal imo, other part being that is symbolic as well is Xayah being corrupted is just to show the pain and her falling into the dark thinking of rakan or maybe it is literal and when her negative emotions get too much cause of what happened to rakan her corruption sneaks up on her again which is the cleansed after being brought back from her trauma and given hope.

I really, REALLY hope the Redeemed Xayah/Rakan skins dont stay Wild Rift exclusive. I love them so much and the stories behind them make them even more amazing. but I hate that the skins are exclusive to Wild Rift (Which I have no plans to ever touch) also, Xayah being my secondary ADC and Rakan my main support also factors into this hope
I’m thinking that because they released so many non PC skins (between wild rift and lor) they’ll be able to bring star guardian back in a year or two by releasing those skins on pc. It’s an easy way for them to bring star guardian back without making it a huge thing or introducing brand new characters

I just thought of something that... if it's true, just adds to the tragedy here. Taking into account what we know about what happens to people's memories when they first take the Star Guardian oath, and what the lyrics of the song are saying... I think Xayah and the others are actually forgetting Rakan. And Xayah is trying desperately not to, hence why the feather is so important.

I feel like Lux give Kai'sa choice, between protecting the Earth or Friendship. That's why she give her bracelet exchange for Star Guardian power. While being SG, she unconscious focusing on mission more then her friendship.

She's moving on fromt he loss of Akali by freely giving away the bracelet. Xayah then has to let go when Rakan's feather escapes her and after being held beck from jumping after him (very symbolic) she let's the hurt in and fullly let's go.
the bracelet is the symbol of akali & kai'sas friendship, kai'sa sacrifices it by taking the oath which then quite literally shattered their relationship which is why the shards of their friendship formed her costume :D
btw rakan is still alive in the wild rift star guardian event interactive story, but he's like hella corrupted and the team are hunting him down where they met him at an arcade but then he got away
I think the scene with Kaisa and Lux is supposed to show Kaisa sacrificing her friendship with Akali to become a star guardian. She traded her friendship bracelet for the star guardian badge. Akali also mentioned in the short story that Kaisa always puts everyone else first and that might be reflected in how Kaisa puts Valorant city first as opposed to her own personal well being. For Akali, it was mentioned at the end of the short story that she has a little bit of corruption in her. But her voicelines suggests that she’s still fighting for the good side from the shadows, kinda like an anti-hero. I’m thinking she left Kaisa’s team because she disagrees with Star Guardians having to sacrifice themselves to protect the universe, which was a troupe in Ahri’s story.

I’m pretty sure that friendship bracelet exchange part was the symbolism of Kai’sa going off to sacrifice herself again and Akali doesn’t like it when her friends sacrifice themselves. This was said in her voice lines and also near the end of the story I think either 12, 13 or 14 where it said how Akali looked at Kai’sa’s expression to Rakan’s sacrifice she knew Kai’sa would never stop being one to sacrifice herself.

I'm not totally sure but I think the scene here with Xayah in the beginning holding Rakan's feather is already after what happened to the visual novel in Wild Rift because they get to fight Rakan and when Rakan fled a green feather from him was left and I think its the one Xayah holding here. I believe kai'sa is crying when she gives the bracelet and when she's a guardian in general because by becoming a star guardian leader she had to give up what she valued the most, her best friend; Akali. It says in the pass novel (Pc) that akali is pissed on how kaisa ignores her over the star guardian duty and how she onlys remembers her when there's a SG rescue
From what they've released so far in pc Akali's more susceptible to the corruption than the others in her team, so she may have lost herself and that's why Kai'sa's sad and why they have to find her. There's also the comics, where Xayah forms her team for the very specific purpose of saving Rakan so I'm confused why she's not with Lux if that's their collective desire? The storytelling might not be linear either, I get the feeling what happens in the comic happens before the video while the pc storyline happens somewhere in the middle? Either that or Kai'sa's part in the video is a flashback. Which, now that I think about it, makes a lot of sense, because at the end she wakes up with her team minus Akali, so all the part about her becoming a SG might be her memories of how it occurred alongside her regret of Akali leaving. It would be a metaphorical retelling of the facts.
My bet is that Akali "dies" kinda like Rakan, that is why Kai'sa is sad, and the hint is because she appears with Rakan in that scene close to the end of the video. The 2 of them have nothing in common, so why they would be shot together? The only thing I can think about is that they are dead, or the equivalent of "death" in the Star Guardian lore, because nobody realy dies here.
I think that part when kai'sa and lux exchanging part is when kai'sa give up her friendship with Akali and chooses to be a star guardian, notice the face of Akali when that happen
they have matching bracelets and akali was right in the mirror. when she gave the flower away, the shards made kaisa transform. maybe the essence of friendship helped her get into the star guardian outfit. lux maybe needed that flower for redeeming rakan because it had so much love power in it (idk if it makes sense rn, we'll see)

In my opinion i think after the guardians left either akali disappeared or died she could dissapear by making miss fortune take her to save rakan or she just got SG powers and directly went after rakan without making kaisa , so kaisa thought that shes dead or missing thats why shes crying or she knew that akali was chosen to be a sg and she wanted to be a sg too so she could help her , in any case the bracelet trase was i think kaisa moving on from seperation from akali or the trade / sacrifice to become a star guardian or it was lux testing her resolve by asking her for her most prized possession
The gem(the pink or red and green)that Lux is holding is the gem that Kai'sa and Akali have.... Also maybe in the scene where Kai'sa gave the flower bracelet signifies sacrifice, before you become a star guardian, you need to sacrifice something like friendship or her memories of Akali, or maybe it signifies her goal to find Akali 🤷♂️

the one thing i do not like is that it is seraphine who was hugging xayah. It should be MF, Ahri and Neeko in that scene. They are the ones with an actual connection to Xayah and Rakan.
Seraphine hugging her makes sense, She is an empath and probably read Xayah's mind and felt her pain, so she hugged her to calm her down, It makes plenty of sense, And Ahri, Sarah and Neeko are looking for Rakan in outer space alongside the other Star Guardians.
At the end of the latest SG story, she left after seeing the outcome of the battle against Zoe in order to find Rakan, leaving the other star guardians behind. That is why maybe she find a trace of Rakan in a place where Sera, Ori and Senna lives. Btw, this is just my speculations, so feel free to judge :)
one thing I realized (crazy theories from mari 😆) Rakan's colors blend in with the colors given to Xayah, signifying a deep bond between the two. In Akali's uniform, he can see Kai'sa's pink hair,but on Kai'sa's uniform, it doesn't have a highlighted color that represents Akali. Could it be that when Kai'sa gave the pendant to Lux, she lost part of that bond with Akali?
i guess the bracelet exchange means that kai'sa has to give up on her normal life she lived up until now and we can actually see her becoming distant to akali in the light novel (akali complains that they dont hang out anymore and all they do it train)

Pretty much all the lyrics hit hard for me with dealing with feelings of depression, regret for lost friends, and other much darker emotions.

-I think the reason why Akali will become a SG is simply bc of two things; First when she showed MF her determination to save her friend (kai'sa) when she thought that Kai'sa was in danger, I forgot which chapter it was but the part where MF took her to the park and Akali was keep digging the rubble bc she thought that Kai'sa was underneath it, despite of her cracked nails and bruised hand she insist to not leave the rubble not until she found her friend. I think this part showed MF that Akali has a potential to be a SG, especially the theme of SG was Friendship. It's possible that this is the reason she will become a SG member. Second was to protect everyone including her closest friend Kai'sa.
-Let's assume that she was given a power and became SG, why she is with Rakan on that MV? I think it was hinted in chapter 13, She felt guilt about the sacrifice, she felt powerless during that time. If ever she became a SG her first mission is to help find Rakan since she felt bad about his sacrifice, and maybe she felt that she owes him since he saved everyone including his friend. Also he reminds her of her friend Kai'sa who always put herself last and prioritize the important people in her life first. It's likes Akali will use her power, strength to protect kai'sa so Kai'sa will never put herself last and will rely on her, they even make a promise after their argument.
-so maybe Akali became SG first and left Kaisa in Valoran city, in hopes to find Rakan and to defeat Zoe (?) since she wanted to protect everyone including Kai'sa. Let's assume that Akali wonders to space to find Rakan, and after she left Lux will make Kai'sa a SG because she has potential too, she has a sense of leadership after all.
-So in the part of the MV where Kai'sa became a SG, we saw that Lux handed her the SG badge and in exchange of her forget-me-not bracelet charm, and we saw that she kissed it before she gave it to lux. In chapter 13 of the story, after Kai'sa and Akali's argument, Kai'sa promised that she will rely on Akali. Before Kai'sa promised she looked at their petal bracelets and seal her promise to Akali. But it was also stated that "A small part of Akali worried that this was a promise Kai’Sa was going to break, another opportunity for Kai’Sa to pick Akali over herself" So the scene in the MV where she kissed her petal charm and handed it to Lux is indicating that she is breaking her promise that she is not going to endangering herself and will to pick Akali first instead of her own safety.
-I'm not sure but Akali looks like she is corrupted in the MV, if ever that's the case I think both of them (Akali and Rakan) are corrupted but still conscious, they just stayed in the Zoe's shadow. Why? I think to protect their love ones, This was just my idea but there are some stories that some characters will join the enemy 's side to protect those important to them.
*Anyways this is just an idea, I can't wait to see what is going to happen in the story.
Maybe there is like a reborn element to the story. The MV and the lyrics really strongly suggested this to me. In a previous time, which is the timeline we are on with the current event, all this went down. Then something happened and everyone sort of had a rebirth and for Xayah and Kai'Sa, the feather and bracelet kind of brings them back to the previous memories and regrets they've had. This leads into the whole memory slideshow effect and when Kai'Sa gives up the bracelet, it is her sacrifice to gain the power to find Akali again or possibly change their story with a new team. I feel like there is a parallel here for Xayah and Kai'Sa.

I think Kai'sa cries while being chosen and TRADES her friendship bracelet to become a Star Guardian because Akali was chosen first, but she is not guided by the starguardian principles, making her an enemy. She cries because she had to favor duty and renounce her friendship/love for Akali to do so. Following the tragic destiny of all starguardians.
For me its such an impactful scene, a beautiful magical girl transforming in pain, and after her final form is imbued of magical power the solemn scene ends and after she just falls to the ground sobbing. I looooooooved it so much its such good visual storytelling

The best way I’ve been thinking about it is that Kai’sa is trading her friendship for helping others. She’s leaving Akali behind to help others. That’s the entire reason they had their argument in the story as well.

Giving up the bracelet charm is symbolizing Kai'sa giving away her friendship with akali to be a star guardian, xayah came back to valoran alone cause the other star guardians are in trouble most likely caused by fiddlesticks and morgana, but xayah escaped came back to valoran and made a new team to find rakan and possibly if this is the case save the other star guardians, akali and rakan are the things missing and desired from our 2 main characters for this video kai'sa and xayah which is why they show up at the end together "Cause when we're gone." Is the part that plays foe them, so this is what i thibk is happening for the video and for the star guardian lore atm but this is just a theory/ my opinion, the video is very symbolic rather than literal imo, other part being that is symbolic as well is Xayah being corrupted is just to show the pain and her falling into the dark thinking of rakan or maybe it is literal and when her negative emotions get too much cause of what happened to rakan her corruption sneaks up on her again which is the cleansed after being brought back from her trauma and given hope.

I really, REALLY hope the Redeemed Xayah/Rakan skins dont stay Wild Rift exclusive. I love them so much and the stories behind them make them even more amazing. but I hate that the skins are exclusive to Wild Rift (Which I have no plans to ever touch)

The part with the Bracelet is the central theme of the song:
"Don't live in the past. We're gone. Everything moves on." Basically. She's moving on fromt he loss of Akali by freely giving away the bracelet. Xayah then has to let go when Rakan's feather escapes her and after being held beck from jumping after him (very symbolic) she let's the hurt in and fullly let's go.

I think the scene with Kaisa and Lux is supposed to show Kaisa sacrificing her friendship with Akali to become a star guardian. She traded her friendship bracelet for the star guardian badge. Akali also mentioned in the short story that Kaisa always puts everyone else first and that might be reflected in how Kaisa puts Valorant city first as opposed to her own personal well being.
For Akali, it was mentioned at the end of the short story that she has a little bit of corruption in her. But her voicelines suggests that she’s still fighting for the good side from the shadows, kinda like an anti-hero. I’m thinking she left Kaisa’s team because she disagrees with Star Guardians having to sacrifice themselves to protect the universe, which was a troupe in Ahri’s story.

I’m pretty sure that friendship bracelet exchange part was the symbolism of Kai’sa going off to sacrifice herself again and Akali doesn’t like it when her friends sacrifice themselves. This was said in her voice lines and also near the end of the story I think either 12, 13 or 14 where it said how Akali looked at Kai’sa’s expression to Rakan’s sacrifice she knew Kai’sa would never stop being one to sacrifice herself.

I'm not totally sure but I think the scene here with Xayah in the beginning holding Rakan's feather is already after what happened to the visual novel in Wild Rift because they get to fight Rakan and when Rakan fled a green feather from him was left and I think its the one Xayah holding here. I believe kai'sa is crying when she gives the bracelet and when she's a guardian in general because by becoming a star guardian leader she had to give up what she valued the most, her best friend; Akali. It says in the pass novel (Pc) that akali is pissed on how kaisa ignores her over the star guardian duty and how she onlys remembers her when there's a SG rescue
looking at the part where akali has the same colour hair as rakan, i imagine she also "fell"
From what they've released so far in pc Akali's more susceptible to the corruption than the others in her team, so she may have lost herself and that's why Kai'sa's sad and why they have to find her. There's also the comics, where Xayah forms her team for the very specific purpose of saving Rakan so I'm confused why she's not with Lux if that's their collective desire?
The storytelling might not be linear either, I get the feeling what happens in the comic happens before the video while the pc storyline happens somewhere in the middle? Either that or Kai'sa's part in the video is a flashback. Which, now that I think about it, makes a lot of sense, because at the end she wakes up with her team minus Akali, so all the part about her becoming a SG might be her memories of how it occurred alongside her regret of Akali leaving. It would be a metaphorical retelling of the facts.
My bet is that Akali "dies" kinda like Rakan, that is why Kai'sa is sad, and the hint is because she appears with Rakan in that scene close to the end of the video. The 2 of them have nothing in common, so why they would be shot together? The only thing I can think about is that they are dead, or the equivalent of "death" in the Star Guardian lore, because nobody realy dies here.

I think that part when kai'sa and lux exchanging part is when kai'sa give up her friendship with Akali and chooses to be a star guardian, notice the face of Akali when that happen
they have matching bracelets and akali was right in the mirror. when she gave the flower away, the shards made kaisa transform. maybe the essence of friendship helped her get into the star guardian outfit. lux maybe needed that flower for redeeming rakan because it had so much love power in it (idk if it makes sense rn, we'll see)
Well on this cinematic when kaisa already transformed herself into starguardian and cast her ultimate, she went to akali's dimensions (which is the new cinematic right now) and tried reaching akali's hand. 😊 I hope you could read this. 😁

In my opinion i think after the guardians left either akali disappeared or died she could dissapear by making miss fortune take her to save rakan or she just got SG powers and directly went after rakan without making kaisa , so kaisa thought that shes dead or missing thats why shes crying or she knew that akali was chosen to be a sg and she wanted to be a sg too so she could help her , in any case the bracelet trase was i think kaisa moving on from seperation from akali or the trade / sacrifice to become a star guardian or it was lux testing her resolve by asking her for her most prized possession

the one thing i do not like is that it is seraphine who was hugging xayah. It should be MF, Ahri and Neeko in that scene. They are the ones with an actual connection to Xayah and Rakan.
That's most likely showing the wild rift side of the story or its Seraphine's crew since the other Guardians seem to be missing
Seraphine hugging her makes sense, She is an empath and probably read Xayah's mind and felt her pain, so she hugged her to calm her down, It makes plenty of sense, And Ahri, Sarah and Neeko are looking for Rakan in outer space alongside the other Star Guardians.
At the end of the latest SG story, she left after seeing the outcome of the battle against Zoe in order to find Rakan, leaving the other star guardians behind. That is why maybe she find a trace of Rakan in a place where Sera, Ori and Senna lives. Btw, this is just my speculations, so feel free to judge :)
It could be that the previous SGs separated to search different places ... or Ahri and co are watching her from afar since that is what Xayah wants ..

Rakan's colors blend in with the colors given to Xayah, signifying a deep bond between the two. In Akali's uniform, he can see Kai'sa's pink hair,but on Kai'sa's uniform, it doesn't have a highlighted color that represents Akali.
Could it be that when Kai'sa gave the pendant to Lux, she lost part of that bond with Akali?
i guess the bracelet exchange means that kai'sa has to give up on her normal life she lived up until now and we can actually see her becoming distant to akali in the light novel (akali complains that they dont hang out anymore and all they do it train)
