- Today I'm testing the latest Ultimate Speed portable jump starter with power bank UMAP 12000 C3. Let's see if its able to start my Astra H 1.9 CDTI at 5 degrees Celcius with dead car battery.

Thanks, tour video was very important for me. I was doing something wrong and I didnt know.
I would suggest that if you switch off all auxiliaries such as fan, radio, internal lights etc before doing this kind of test, would have started the vehicle first time! Also ensure engine ‘Stop/Start is switched off before the test as some vehicles will not start using this method!

Can't wait for the teardown! LiFePo4 is much safer than Li-ion. It won't set your car on fire in summer.
But why are both battery types written on the box?

The H gtc is a hell of a car although the agricultural sounding 1.9 may not be as impressive as my 2.0T was.
Dont forget to racharge after using , no battery have the same power in cold temprature

How do you charge the power bank itself
It has USB-C charging port
It doesnt work getting error light and signal
How can i use the powerbank feature with the flashlight off
You need to press the red button first a few times until the flashlight switches off!

So far, I have made 3 attempts to start an old car, which battery is not completley dead, but its unable to deliver the needed amps. So, in order to avoid my possible mistake, I hereby write what I have seen.
Fisrt, when I connect this big plug with the device I see those t leds plashing as in your video.
Then I connect the possitive and the negative terminals on the battery. As soon as I do that, I can hear some periodicaly clicks inside the device. (I did not push the ON switch once, but the result was always the same)
After approx, 20 seconds, I turn the key, but the system is unable to turn the engine. Of course when I jump start it with my other car, the starter works as it should and the engine starts.
I am not sure if the device is working properly, so if you too, are hearing clicks after the connection, I assume that this is the way it works.
P.S. Temp is around 16 C an the engine is petrol, not diesel
Yep, the same clicking on my device too - forgot to mention that in the video. The On switch is doing nothing - its just to wake up the battery charge LEDs. Wiggle a little bit the clamps so they can make better contact.
@@icku Yes, I did that repeatedly. Some time after many tries it did made contact at last! As soon as the engien started a mpip mpip mpip was heard from the device and it did not stop when I disconnected the terminals from the battery, but only when I unplugged the big black plug.
@@batfalcononyoutube Glad it worked. The sound indication probably is some overload warning. I really don't know...

If you want to properly jump start a car get rid of that useless limiting relay that's in the wires wich supposedly is there purely to disconect when voltage is higher after the car started
That relay inside is around 70amps and it's way to low to properly start a car or transfer the current needed
I agree about the relay. It is 80A, but I'm not sure that it disconnects the voltage when the car starts. Otherwise the manufacturer won't insist of disconnecting the cables within 30 seconds after angine starts.
@@icku it's recommended to disconect because it can weld I'm on position because way to many amps go thru it and after car starts it will charge the jump pack battery
Those relay modules only stay on for a few seconds and I think that's why you couldn't start the car first time because it disconnected itself for safety wich is stupid because you don't really have enough time to put the clamps an go in the car to start it
Stupid design but it needs to be safe to be sold to people that don't have a clue how to use it and not to set fire to their own cars 🤣
@@marbesky Hmm haven't thought about that. Sounds reasonable. This brings me to another thing that i noticed. When the cables are connected the relay engages/green led goes on for about 3 sec and then it disengages and re-engages for another 3. But i thought my car battery was too discharged and making some funny stuff with the jump starter. Hmm who knows. Will have to do some more tests.
@@icku bypass the relay and you will see a huge difference
This needs to be done only if you know what you doing as in disconect strait after engine started
I have a jump pack that's 3 years old and wouldn't start anything thru the stupid relay but after I took it of it starts as it should
@@marbeskyis the relay the black box on the cable. How do u connect the wires if u remove that fitting.
