    GURL! Beatles fan since 1964! This is one of my faves. ❤
    They're on the rooftop of Apple Records in London. The police had to disperse their fans on the street as traffic came to a standstill.

    this winter rooftop mini-concert in london was the final public performance of the beatles before they broke up. the late billy preston is the one playing keyboards and accompanying the band.

    A sort of cry for help from John to his wife Yoko. He was afraid of drug problems he was having and was pleading for her not to let him down, when he needs her most. There was big problems between his wife and the band. Such a great song. Icons forever. Thanx sis, stay amazing, Peace✌🔥

      John & Yoko were not married until March 1969,a full 2 months AFTER this was recorded. There were not "big problems" between Yoko & the Beatles.

    One of my favorite Beatles stories was Paul telling back when he and John were just beginning to write their own songs. Paul said that one December evening he and John were walking through his neighborhood heading to his house for a writing session. Paul said they finished up close to midnight, and he decided to walk John back home. On the way back, they passed by a house when John said "Man, do you see those people over there still outside playing cards at this hour" ? Paul said he looked over and saw a nativity scene set up outside the house John was looking at. Since John was virtually blind without his glasses (and refused to wear them), he thought there were a group of card players outside this house that hadn't moved for the several hours since they had passed them by earlier. Paul said he cracked up laughing and never forgot it.

    Hey Bestie I freaking love the Beatles and they can definitely get it 😂This song is one of my favorites. This was their last performance ever . 1971 I think but this was the rooftop of they're recording studio. And the cops got a noise complaint so they showed up but clearly let them finish. I don't know if John dated any black girls but he was married to a white girl and then married Yoko ono who is Asian. Great reaction as usual my friend and Peace out girl ✌️ ☮️

    You can see and hear distinctly the 5th Beatle playing the keyboard in the background, Our soul brother Billy Preston. He was always called the 5th Beatle. "A brother in the Beatles, epic!" You might have to have 4 white boys plus one non white in your basket, my sister.

    Hi sweetheart. Another great video from you. I will admit that I wasn’t much of a Beatles fan because I was more into The Rolling Stones. But that’s just my choice. They were very talented and they did quite a few very good songs. This one being one of them. on Instagram I didn’t realise it wasn’t you that’s why I was wondering what was going on. LOL. Still brought a smile to my face though as you always do. Please take care and blessings to you from the UK.❤

    Hey Shavon John was into oriental women. He famously left his wife for Yoko Ono. When John and Yoko had problems in the early 70's and separated for several months Yoko arranged for John's oriental secretary to have a romantic relationship with her until hopefully, they reconciled which they eventually did.

    I don’t understand the love for Yoko? She is not attractive and she is a terrible person. I don’t get what John saw

    • @braudabo
      @braudabo Před 2 měsíci

      It's a matter of taste whether one like this type of woman or not. One can also get bored to death with people, who are considered to be extremely attractive. In general, Lennon was happy to have a partner, who was on his intellectual level and he probably got fed up with the countless girls, who were chasing the Beatles.
      Another aspect is, that she probably played a kind of motherly role for him, as he lost his biological mother in a car accident, when he was a teenager and suffered greatly as a result. He processed this in several songs.
      Yoko Ono is also a very accomplished avant-garde artist, long before she met the Beatles/John Lennon, a peace activist, and a musician, who produced many awful records, yes, but also a few interesting ones, that definitely had an influence on a few genres - and the now 91-year-old is certainly not a terrible person, as far as one can judge this from her media output over the last six decades.
