Here are 4 bad ass beam routines. We have... 1. Alexandra Eremia of Romania 2. Li Qi of China 3. Natalia Vasiliyevna Laschenova of the Soviet Union 4. Yulia Lozhecko of Russia
Zamolodchikova used to perform it as well but Lozhechko attacked front elements (standing tuck and standing arabian) like no one's business. Also because she doesn't look nearly as powerful to perform these kinds of skills.
I liked your choices. I just watched, literally, 5 mins ago Luschenko's routine and learned she was the very first gymnast to perform the full-in back out in a competition! 1989 worlds.
Omg... terrific selection. And we shall not forget Ms Yang Bo from China too. Her acrobatic skills , artistry, and her flexibility. She was like a human gingerbread without bones performing world-class beam routine. :)
Not to take away from the rest of her skills and routine, but Eremia's turn should have eliminated her from this video in and of itself. I hate sloppy turns on the beam where the gymnast can't figure out to point her foot while she's turning. And it is amazing how often it happens. Just a lazy oversight in the choreography for such a standard move. Compare with Lashenova - perfection.
What a pleasure to see amazing beam without a single Wolf turn.
I’ve never seen a gymnast get a triple twist around as well as Li Qi did!
I agree. So awesome. Did this see this triple full from the 80's. Pretty nice. czcams.com/video/M-Er79i0W3U/video.html
Hers and Larissa Iordache’s are both incredible
@@liamr5931 Yes Iordache when she was 16.
she looks like she's about 11. the chinese lie about their ages.
I did, her name is Larisa Iordache
Wow li qi is so little yet she is so powerful and her beam work is so mesmerising to watch!
Li Qi just walks on the beam like it’s the floor! Love this video concept, these really are best described as badass
that standing front tuck is new to me. impressive
Never seen it before either. Love her prep before. So confident.
Zamolodchikova used to perform it as well but Lozhechko attacked front elements (standing tuck and standing arabian) like no one's business. Also because she doesn't look nearly as powerful to perform these kinds of skills.
Laschenova's layout to 2 feet was sublime. I also appreciated how she hit 180 on her splits even though it wasn't really a requirement in the 80's.
She made up for it with that wolf jump. Lol.
mindyschocolate what do you mean, make up for it?
Catalina Ponor’s beam work is always badass too! It always feels like she’s attacking the beam!
Is she in this video I can’t find her name
The last gymnast. Wow.
I liked your choices. I just watched, literally, 5 mins ago Luschenko's routine and learned she was the very first gymnast to perform the full-in back out in a competition! 1989 worlds.
The full in back out was performed well before 89

When was the front tuck mount common prior to 1989??????
Does anyone see similarities in Eremia's beam work to Catalina Ponor? Obviously same coaches, but their style is very similar to me!
Sonic!!!
How old is Li Qi
People doing what it is impossible to do .
at 4:56 - 4:57, i thought the end of the beam became a popcorn
How did you even catch that? I watched it, and I was like, "what? Cool!"
@@paulaneary7877 i was measuring her foot'a distance to the beam's end and then when she lands i saw it hahahahaha still makes me laugh 'til now lol
@@ronbrainard1183 Yeah, it is really hilarious! So glad you caught that! It makes me laugh also. Have a great evening!

Bad ass? It's all about bottoms with you people!!
What’d the first chick do that was so special??
Horrible quality , old crap 💩
