@@gothiclight8048 but Luktelk's NF staging was PERFECT. I would be very disappointed if they changed it significantly.
Ukraine's NF staging needed MUCH improvement and the pictures show that they are definitely moving to the right direction. Which is no surprise for Ukraine of course. I can't recall a single year of disappointing Ukrainian staging. I only hope they won't make it too great because I don't want them to win with so horrible lyrics.
Croatia's NF staging had many cool and lovely elements for me, they just needed to polish it much, his outfit looks properly better already. The dancers' outfits are still ugly and distracting though. I strongly wish they haven't removed the colorful animals parade cause that was quite my favorite feature of the whole thing. The dancing cats HAVE TO RULE!!
No disappointment at all, everyone looks ready to set the stage on fire. Ukraine looks super classy now.

Croatia my winner and it looked amazing (would change the hair) but Ireland and Serbia elevated the most! Ukraine never dissapoints
Yes, Baby Lasagna outfit is a mix of modern with traditional folk outfit. Obviously traditional outfit wouldn’t have the leather vest but embroidered flowers are one of typical elements. Also he has pins on the right side which are positioned in a way to kind of reflect the Croatian coat of arms (red and white checkerboard).
Also forgot to add that Croatian designer Valentina Plisko created all the costumes
Baby Lasagna is authentically himself and always the same and different at the same time in every performance of himself and the song is too good🤩
I love that BL and his team kept their artistic integrity. I LOVE what he did with the outfit and that he kept the sleeves and didn't cave to the baseless Käãrija comparisons.
Again you are on point with Croatian folklore. Yes, the golden elements on Baby's vest are made by traditional Croatian sewing technique called "zlatovez" or literally: gold sewing. Bravo!
I like that Baby Lasagna didn't change much from Dora's performance. They just amplified everything. The costumes are great. Personally, Marko looks better with his standard hairstyle. I would only change that. Go Croatia ❤

Here are my thoughts:
- Cyprus: It's looking quite slick, just as expected tbh. Nothing too special, but I do think Silia will make a great opening to the whole show!
- Serbia: I'm so happy that they didn't change a lot from the NF performance tbh, Teya Dora already owns the stage perfectly and doesn't need anything more than this. I also love the new outfit and agree 100% that it fits better. This will be amazing next week! This song is my top 4, so I'm really hoping it'll pass from the 2nd death spot.
- Lithuania: Great and very slick, didn't expect anything less nor more than them to be completley honest.
- Ukraine: I'm amazed, this is so perfect for this song and I absolutley love it.
- Ireland: This staging seems really cool. Although from the tiktok video it's looking a bit awkward with the choreo, might be just me, but I'm pretty sure that's just the angle of the camera. This will be great for the show and I'm quite confident they'll qualify now.
- Poland: Why is this so... amazing? I'm actually really loving this, very much the biggest suprise for me today. I don't get how people aren't liking it. The only thing I'm wondering is how she will get on the tower mid song? I guess it might go down and back up, something like France last year?
- Croatia: This is so great and slick, I love it! Didn't expect anything less! The winner vibes are there honestly... just saying..
Today's biggest suprise: Poland (never thought I'd be saying this), closely followed by Ukraine.
Biggest "dissapointment": Cyprus (It's still great and slick, but out of all these stagings it just feels a little too generic)
Croatias costumes are elevated and cohesive. So excited to see how it all looks.
My most anticipated is Ireland. They are so unique and the images look like the staging is going to be epic.

You did notice well that the flowers are embroidery that is part of the Croatian culture. It is a really cool technique called zlatovez that is really time-consuming and is done with a thin gold or silver thread in floral shapes. You can google the name to see some references on how it looks.
I am surprised a lot of Croats don't know about it here in the comments. I guess it is more region-specific thing so if you are not from that region or interested in ethnology you might not know it (?). Although, I'd argue it is quite popular still. Especially as a wedding gift in the form of framed artwork lately.
His shirt and sleves are common male traditional attire element, however they are always cotton, while his is lace which might be intentional to represent Pag lace that is really culturally significant and famous lace making national brand. It is on UNESCO heritage list for Croatia.
I really hope that Bambi Thug gets through, or we'll be back to the safe option next year.
I've found my favorite BL 🇭🇷 ♥️💥 and no matter what other performers are planning for the finale, how exciting, outsized or anything else unique they plan to do to get more votes, it's too late! My winner is Marko because he is the best for me and I like his song the most of all!

People criticise BL's hair but you can always change it or have a haircut before the Semi finals. Also, that outfit is amazing! I love the flowers on it. Looks SUPER authentic! I actually really like the Dracula comparisons.

so far, my top faves are Serbia, Lithuania and Croatia. I also like Ireland and Ukraine.
Baby Lasagna's flower embroidery doesn't have a particular meaning, but flower embroideries on clothes are common in traditional clothing. A male red vest with flowers wouldn't be uncommon among Croatian traditional clothes.
But the most traditional element is the lace pattern that covers heads of musicians, the entire drum and forms BL's new puffy sleeves. The elaborate white lace pattern is probably the Croatian favourite traditional decorative pattern, present both in clothes and around the house in the form of small table cloths called tabletići. BL himself described the style as a combination of traditional elements and industrial retrofuturistic visuals. You may call this style Tabletićpunk 😎

Baby Lasagna has on his chest is ( Čipka) famos Lace from Pag ( island in Croatia) ! He has many Croatian traditional part on his costume and some modern verion incorporated.
I don’t know why people don’t like Croatia’s staging, it looks quite good to me! HRT is clearly going all in to win!

I haven't seen any video's yet, only pictures and Ukraine looks absolutely stunning!!..looooovvvvv Jerry's hair, very Kaiserin Sissi 😊 From the pics i'm most looking forward to see Ukraine and Ireland although they all looked good. Luna kept things very literal which can go either way but from the little bit we have to go on it's done very well and I just really love her style. Teya Dora kind of reminds me of Liv Tyler in the Lord of the Rings in those pics. Gorgeous ❤

4:25 I could be wrong, but the way I saw the snippet videos I think the contrast is created by the werewolf/whatever guy. Bambie is on their own during the dark parts, does all this witchy stuff with the candles and then during the chorus the dancer comes into play and the 2 do some sort of classical, romantic dancing
I actually find this to be more fitting, because to me the chorus always had such an eering quality to it, never truly 'happy'. So the 2 of them both still looking all creepy and dark and then doing this sort of dance is really fitting imo

Some of us preferred Teya Dora's more raw national finals looks cause it relates to the song more. This is a bit too polished, the dress, the hair, although it looks pretty. Maybe it's not the final version.

I'm glad Silvester didn't change much from his national final, the red suit looks very good on him as I saw on the video with classical orchestra, he just needs to watch that it's not too dark so that people can see his face from time to time or camera need to do close ups. Ukraine looks perfect. Serbia looks gorgeous, hope there will be close ups of her emotional face. Baby Lasagna is looking good too, I would have kept his hair natural and I hope there will be the animals in the visuals. Bambie great concept, it's such a pity that I only like the piano version of their song.

Croatia I feel got gifted a nice big stage to really be able to execute the concept better than at Dora and his vocals sound great from what I heard.

Tbh I really liked vidbir staging of T&M , so I am sad that there going to be completely different concept , but it's not bad by any means , 2nd shot literally looks like disney movie
Also after they won vidbir, they and their staging got a lot of criticismand and it seems to be "fixed" here

I would kindly ask not to compare Baby Lasagna to Käärijä, in terms of copying because of the puffy sleeves. Baby Lasagna’s sleeves are made out of traditional Istrian (Croatian) lace and has nothing to do with Käärijä’s last year’s outfit. Coming from a Croatian, I’m kind of disappointed in our staging and definitely expected more. I was convinced that we had a chance to win, but after this, I’m in a doubt🥲

It is very unfair that the reference point for Slavic or other Eastern European culture and art is always western standards.
And what's even crazier to me is how some youtubers just keep saying how some songs are bad, or too ethnic or a joke entry, because they are uneducated about non western Slavic culture. They keep sounding dumb and completely unaware of how dumb they keep sounding.

Was very curious about Poland, it looks like a complete makeover from the video clip, my first impression is they might have overdone it, the song isn't bombastic but the staging feels very busy now. Also I don't get the Croatia staging hype everywhere, I think it feels very cheap still, a sharp contrast with the car he drove in, so you might have been right that the Croatian money went into his car rather than the staging 🤣
I'm also still conflicted with a 17 year old performing strip acts on stage, but I guess that's just me being old and grumpy.

I think Lithuania has the best rehearsal! I love this song,and Silvester is so cool and talented! Ukraine is very good but i don't like the rap part of the song!It doesn't fit ! Cyprus is so fresh, I like it. I hope Silia works her vocals! I also think Croatia's rehearsal isn't so good, I think he screams a lot! But to tell the truth is a stronge song! My opinion from Greece❤❤

Croatia: I know this may sound controversial. But it’s veeery similar to Dora’s performance, and I didn’t really like that performance. The dancers are unnecessary in my opinion and make the stage very chaotic. Also, I know the outfit is precious and embraces the croatian tradition, but to a generic viewer it might look like a pirate of the Caribbean cosplay…

The Dora performance really wasnt THAT bad. I really liked it. The outfit doesnt look like a pirate outfit at all. In fact, it looks more like a Dracula one which reflects Eastern Europe as a whole.

I dont like the backing dancers in Croatias performance. It doesnt fit this rock/metal vibe the song has. To me they are just a distraction. Outfit is ok but the performance just doesnt scream winner vibes to me as of yet.
