Eloy is a monster! You should check out the videos from the current and former Angra drummers as well. Aquiles Priester is another very technical and hard player and Bruno Valverde is a young insane drummer who plays metal on a traditional grip (he recorded drums for the Kiko Loureiro solo album).

He's very creative. In some interviews, the band members always say that after he joined the band, they needed to reinvent themselves to accompany him hahaha and that was very good, it took the band to a new level.

One of the best drummer in the world. He mixes Brazilian drums influences with a genuine and creative lines playsd with a lot of precision and power. Eloy Casagrande is a monster, a beast and Sepultura is back to the top with Quadra album 🤘🏼🤘🏼🚀
They incorporate a lot of Brazilian tribal music flair and sounds into their music and it is brilliant.

Yeah I only found out after making this vid that Eloy wasn’t the original drummer. He seemed young and Sepultura have been around forever! Guess I’ll have to check out stuff with their original drummer!

What a fucking workout, I've always known about Sepultura and how badass they are but this is the first I've seen with this drummer. People talk about guitar players "solo face" this guy has a mix of complete panic and rage on his face the whole time lol and that makes it perfect!

After Eloy enters the Sepultura, the band change the name from Sepultura to Eloy and His Band
When Eloy arrived bassist Paulo in an interview with his way he said, "oh, all right", when he saw Eloy playing he said "fucked for me", Eloy is among the best drummers in Brazil and if not in the world, since he played a lot well, he was even exaggeratedly called a "new Neil Peart" because of the rhythmic adaptations ... I really think it is an exaggeration. Sepultura renewed the sound a lot and Eloy really became this monstrous drummer ... he wanted to see Aquiles Priester and Dave Lombardo together ... it was going to be a show of technique, speed and aggression.
I love this guy. My mom is good friends with the band and I got to go on their tour bus and see them preform. Good guy
Great video Pat. Just to let you now, since Eloy Casagrande joined Sepultura, no one dares to drum cover his drums tracks, we can’t really find videos of drum cover of his era as Sepultura’s drummer. Eloy is a beast with incredible techniques. For sure one of the greatest drummers I’ve ever seen. In metal, he is my favourite!

Even if Pat didn't know about him until then, it doesn't make sense to talk shit about Pat just because of that. It's normal, every day we discover new songs and bands. Besides, can you imagine the feeling of discovering a band like Sepultura at this point? Better yet, imagine what it must feel like to meet Eloy's work now, afer so many years. It must be something really cool, and Pat spoke very well of our Brazilian drummer (yeah I'm Brazilian too), so I think we always have to value these guys who somehow promote our metal scene and our musicians, who are often very undervalued in Brazil, unfortunately.
