Eddie Munson Funko pop
Comic Book in the SUN for Two Weeks Here’s what happened!!!!
• Video
People turning collectibles into a job has killed it… that goes for comics funko sports cards etc…
People should try to actually I don’t know work?? Instead of trying to make a hobby a job..
I said what I said
I work im a truck driver my wife is a nurse and we own our own store as a hobby and still make some bucks over 2k a week in just funkos its awesome
Funkos are crashing big time
Says who lol
I still collect funko pops but only the marvel pops
Ive never really had an issue with funkos considering ive always been pretty selective on what i buy. I only buy select characters and dont bother trying to collect a whole line. I feel like those that buy and sell funkos for a "living" kinda had a hand in killing them as well.
It’s crazy when people buy funko pops or any collectible for their value rather than for the love of the character or media .
i keep all my funko pops out of the box and display it i dont like it when people keep it in the box
Funko pops are so overpriced
The only reasonable priced ones are the newer ones that release but it sucks when prices raise on most of em
Overpriced and overhyped they’re not even that cool you can’t even tell what character it is unless they’re wearing their costume
my son loves Funko pops
Awesome
At 4:16 "This book."
You said it right.
Just Keep it comics.
I don't collect Funko Pops but they seem like they can get out of control and be too much to collect especially price and space wise. And besides i just don't get those things at all lol.
Nice review.
Fun video my friend
Good for you man. You do you 👍
I am not a fan of bootlegging or stealing IPs like what is going on in China with fake products however I am also not a fan of people who buy all of the product off of a store shelf expecting to profit by creating false scarcity. Both hurt brands and destroy hobbies by trying to profit off of fans. So while I’m not a fan of KO stuff I’d rather someone buy a KO and leave resellers stuck with product they already paid for and then either have to eat the cost of or possibly sell at a loss than feed those that exploit collectors to profit. I’ve quit so many hobbies because I refuse to pay resellers so I just stop altogether.
great video
❤️
You can't just buy one Chase, or one Eddie? You have to buy every single one at Target?
Glad they're crashing.
haha funko aint crashing i own my own store and i get new collectors all the time and we are doing really good
@@thewestcoastpop847the people saying it's dying are the people mad they're "invest" is going up.
@gilbertoflores7397 exactly i love it i collect myself i aint stopping and my store is doing really well we love it
@@thewestcoastpop847 It isn't a good sign when the company starts dumping there products in landfills . If you want to collect because
you like the characters is one thing but to think they will be good investiments for the future is a bad idea . . . very bad .
Funko raised their prices to retailers on basic figures on November 1, 2021. They didn't announce what the price increase was, only that they were increasing it. I noticed the price bump at Target on December 3, 2021. I picked up three figures for my niece. Even though the shelf price said $8.99, they rang up at the register for $11.99. That worked out to be a 28% price hike.
Great video I am trying to cut down on my funko pops as well, they are getting out of hand. Thanks for providing great detail on these fake funkos. It opened my eyes for real.
I'm stopping it's overrated and overwhelmingly collecting POP'S. And just too expensive and scalpers ruined the hobby.
I have never really been into to funko pops but now I know I won’t ever be. Thanks for the video love watching your channel
Good lol byeeee
When I first started collecting I was hesitant about fakes to be honest etc but I learned hot to find fakes and what to buy and the fakes almost made me lose motivation in a way but I been collecting still but I like how you gave reasons
I only collect the old pops
i want a tarman funko pop dammit!!
If you still like funko’s then yes.
Sold my mega grails and walked away. 🗑️ company that’s money hungry
Oh no, a company making money😱😂😂
It sure was fun while it lasted. I loved looking for those Chase Funkos 💚
Just started collecting for display but only one each comic hero due to redundance.
Lol any funko collector would spot that fake in seconds just look at the coloring lol
At our Walmart in Shallotte all of the new tmnt pops that were just released were still only $8
I only bought a dozen or so, but thankfully never went crazy down that rabbit hole.
You were very smart
They went up alot of stores. Hot topic over charge up to 25.00 other stores are 14.99 now
Where you live? That's very wrong, hot topic exclusive are about 15-16, and commons are 12. You only buy them online and need to ship them or something?
@@gilbertoflores7397 not where I live. Hot topics I've visited they sell them 15 to 20 ... now targets are selling them 14.99 . I'm not wrong. It's just crazy
@@gilbertoflores7397 it's hard to believe. States are priced different because location.
@@eljibarocaptainwepa8198 why not order online for in store pickup? The prices online are the normal prices of 15 and 12, even less when they run a sale.
i like that marvel funko 4 pack so cool
Hi buddy great video,,I did see on the boxes of the fake funko when you held them side to side, that the trees in the background of the box,the picture of the trees is more zoomed in than the original funko pop picture,,stay safe always ❤
Bro my funko collection on the app lost 3 grand in value any reason why that happened? Looking for someone to help me out as to why 😢
I believe it’s because they overproduced to many pops and they raised their prices so people quit buying that’s my thoughts
I agree… all I have is around 18 pops total.. I was buying them for like six years..
Ive been collecting since 2011 i just sold 1300 pops i kept 9 i really liked but then sold those 2 weeks later felt really good tbh i didnt realize how much anxiety it gave me to look at all the boxes lol but even the clones are close to perfect and usually cheaper lol
I'm in the UK, I bought Pops cheap from HMV. They would have a number of them on sale for between £1 and £3 fairly regularly, and they would have them in a buy one get one free as well. I would buy a lot. I didn't care for the boxes and so they didn't have to be mint. I displayed them out of the box and stored the boxes separately, but as I had far too many, I ended up binning the majority of the boxes
I would also buy them cheap from Amazon and Zavvi. I stopped buying them a while back, and got bored of them as I don't really have any attachment to them anymore, and have been in the process of selling nearly all of them. There were certain ones I was going to keep such as Marvel or Star Wars but decided to sell those as well. I have about 140 left to sell. I'm not selling them for a lot but as I didn't pay a lot, I'm not really down much
I am probably keeping about 30 including a couple of Simpsons ones, some 8-bit ones, and some others. I started with Dorbz originally and am only keeping two of the 100 or so I had of those, and I did buy some of the keychains which I left in the packaging but most of those are for sale or have been sold
Yea I think I’m just gonna keep a few as well just the ones I really like
I've never paid more than $5 for a funko pop. Fye is a great place to get them dirt cheap. Usually bogo
I stopped collecting these cause of space and not many characters that i like to get. I now collect sports cards cause less space and yes it's about $100 for a hobby box. You're getting a lot of cards
I certainly would not be buying FUNKO POP figures speculating they will be worth more in the future. I have always said they are the current fad that took the place of Beanie Babies. Just like Beanie Babies they started making so friggen many of them that no one could keep up and would artificially inject lower print run versions to drive demand. Just get the ones you like and don't get swept up in the hype.
I only collect the Funko Pops of the characters that I like weather its videogames or comic books and if they're on clearance usually at Walmart Target or GameStop. To me that's the way to go with these.
the circle at the top of the box with the character number( Eddie is 1250) is a good give away. side by side its an easy tell
his hair is also 2 different colors
The Big thing that stuck out to me on the fake was the hair covering the eyebrows they are totally different. Great Video
Thanks buddy
I need that doctor strange chase to complete my collection if you wanna sell
Hey buddy yes I will sell it absolutely
Yeah the fakes are getting out of control but since i dont spend more than 30 bucks on a pop i dont have a problem. If you see grails and rare ones going for an unbelievable deal its a fake. But sticking to the ones you like or a few series works as opposed to get them all or getting some on sale
I just like how you refer to China making fakes as if they dont make the originals too😂😂
I stopped also I just wanna get sun god luffy a venom one with the comic and some adventure time ones and that’s gonna be it no more funkos.
The originals hair doesn't cover his eyebrows.
Good video. 😊
How you been brother
Yep I stop buying funky pops 2-3 years ago it all junk and not really cool anymore
You can tell real from fakes. 100%. I don’t care what anyone says. I’ve been collecting pops for years and maybe a few fakes have made it to my private collection. I promise when I say there will always be value with funko.
The commons are now usually $17
That’s insane
That’s very untrue😂
i can definitely tell the difference between fakes and reals, it just comes with collecting. I’ve been collecting since 2017 it’s more than just looking at the foot stamp.
He looks at other aspects than the foot stamp, and it’s not only long-time dedicated collectors who impact the market value
fake funko pops not cool
