We Afghan when we cook our rice after we put some weight ( here I put Argos book☺)on top of lid (lid we wrap on a fabric, tea towel )put heat in low and give rest for 10_ 30 minutes ( but switch of heat after 5-10 mins.).
COOKING CORNER I’m pakistani I do the same but not woth a Argos book but with a stone mortar ( langri I’m my language ) it’s used to crush garlic and is made of stone.
