    This is great, thanks so much. In Ghana I only see green capsicum. Red ones are rare and expensive. I would like to grow these. I don't have a farm as yet though. How much land do I need? What is the smallest space I could use to start growing?

    Excellent job trying to get the best value from your setup. In Australia tomatoes are about 500 kenyan shillings and capsicum about 700 a kg. I suppose it has to do with wage rates and input costs though. Its a shame the contract farmers there have such a tough time for all their hard work.

      With the decreasing arable land, It is a sure fact Africa is headed the same direction as Australia on the cost of food. The journey is however promising since most farmers are beginning to work smarter

    How is water recycled in the hydroponic beds? Does the water return to the tank, like with an NFT system?

    • @GrAnDeUrAfRiCa_Hydroponics
      @GrAnDeUrAfRiCa_Hydroponics  Před 4 lety

      Sure, the nutrient water returns into a tank and is later pumped direct to the beds or to an overhead tank which then releases nutrient water to the beds via gravity

    • @GrAnDeUrAfRiCa_Hydroponics

      The running of a hydroponic system is very cheap than traditional farming. The set up of a hydroponic system can be more affordable or expensive than traditional farming depending on the crop and the scale targeted.
