- Hi everyone, I’m moving!! Today I’m sharing my Los Angeles apartment hunting experience, showing you all what $2,000 will get you in downtown LA. I’m excited to share with you all how this last week of apartment hunting went with me sharing rent prices, focusing mostly on la lofts.
I primarily looked for downtown Los Angeles lofts while apartment hunting. In 2020 we saw a huge crash in rent prices but now that it’s summer 2021, a lot of those costs have come back up. I’m hoping with this summer apartment hunting video you can be more prepared if you too are looking to search for an apartment in Los Angeles!

One of my children ended up with nice place in Hollywood that has such awesome rent deals . Always check the big buildings and not just what shows up on line
Yes you truly have to look at different things to try to find the best deals!
I live downtown Portland and I understand the vibe of finding the right block to live on. I like the first one but the 2nd floor plan.
Yea exactly! I walked to most of the tours so that I could get a good sense of the area and what’s around because yea that’s soooo important to me. And me too I looveeeeddd that floor plan. So we’ll see👀

The first apartment was almost perfect except the bathroom was too close to the kitchen. That's such a pet peeve of mine, lol. Also, the view was absolutely amazing 🙌❤
The third apartment had the nicest floors in my opinion. The bathroom seemed a bit cramped, though.
I already know you didn't pick the last one. I disliked the kitchen and bathroom finishes as well. Plus, no in-unit laundry is a deal breaker for me. My only experience with on-site laundry was horrible. A lady had a dog or dogs that apparently shed a lot. The dog hair would be all over her clothes and she would put her dog hair clothes in the public washer and dryers and not have the decency to wipe out the units after she used them. This would result in dog hair being transferred on other people's clothes. No...just no!
Oh my gosh that’s awful!! Shoot now I’ll never forget that experience and I’ll never be able to do community laundry again😅 And yes those floors were AMAZINGG. I wish I could combine the best parts of these different apartments to create my dream home🤦🏾♀️
I understand! I had an apt where the bathroom was directly off the kitchen.
@@jeanneewaseck6635 Oh geez for smaller apartments I can definitely see how that can be more of a problem because I did see a lot of that with studios I was touring but yea the idea of it being *directly* off the kitchen doesn't sit well with me🙃
I am so spoiled living in the south I cannot even imagine living in a Studio for those prices. I doubt you went with any of the ones from today.
Honestly I definitely panicked realizing I’m paying about $1k more for this new apt than my rent now🤦🏾♀️ Interesting let’s see if you’re right👀

Oh my god you have fantastic choices, apartment one and two look amazing{I'm in love with the bathrooms lol}. I love how spacious the second one is though! Apartment two is definitely my fave.
Those bathrooms were insaneeee😅 I definitely was happy about most of my choices so we’ll see👀

Yea that was my main concern since a lot of times how well kept an area is directly correlates to the level of security and safety and since I was only there for just a few moments it’s really all I could go on🙃
Downtown in most cities is dirty. Lol.
