One championship. 2 finals in 3 years (3 straight conference finals)....6 conference finals in 8 years. In all this period teams have made trades and drafted stars but Celtics have remained the most consistent Eastern Conference team. I do not expect it to change any time soon.
Boston’s consistency has centered around Tatum and Brown. It was the rest of the team built around them that got them over the hump. But as it stands, they will be seen as the best team in the NBA for the foreseeable future

My only issue with the Knicks is when Brunson isn’t going I don’t trust randle and bridges to step up as scorers as much as I do Maxey and PG when Embiid is off. Knicks have a better team to stop our offense. Either way those 2 teams are the competition for us

They also gotta put together at least a halfway solid defense to do anything real in the playoffs. A big issue with them on both sides of the ball is that so many key starters are aging/regressing and are just way too slow to compete at a championship level, let alone even keep up with the better teams in this league. I think if Porzingas somehow finds a way to stay healthy in the playoffs that the Celtics will beat anyone in 5 or 6 games. He probably won't though, so there could be some 6 -7 game series in the east with Boston that they may or may not win. The east is loading up to take down the champs and unless Tatum takes a leap in his scoring efficiency next year wont be easy. But Tatum has the potential, he used to be a more efficient shooter in the playoffs. He kind of bulked up and lost some of his shooting touch while also become more of a complete player passing and limiting turnovers. If he can shoot like 50/38% in the playoffs, its over for the East. This Celtics team with Tatum dropping 30+ a game is unbeatable. Maybe the championship confidence will settle his nerves and get him back to that smooth mid range shot and being an elite 3pt threat.

Knicks players are a lot more tolerable than their fans. Boston was the best team from October til June. Were missing a 20/8/2 7’4 shot blocking sniper most of the playoffs. No one was beating them outside of Denver. And they lost while being relatively healthy. 🤷🏾♂️

The east is weak right now. JT and JB were blooded when the East was the stronger conference. They have played Peak Bron, KD, Harden, Kyrie, Peak Giannis, The Heat teams that went to a finals and The Raptors the year after they beat the Warriors in the finals. You’ve really played no strong team that has a strong bench and elite coach. Also in terms of IQ our stars have been coached by Brad Stevens, Pop, Ime Udoka and now Mazzula as both stars and role players. And I haven’t even mentioned mismatches in terms of size. They will let Brunson get 40 but your team won’t get going all game like Luka and the Mavs
