As some one who grew up in a beach house, snow bird town: people still put rocking chairs on the land facing side. No idea why. Watch the people loaded down with beach crap lug down to the normie access? Theres still a lot of stuff in the back. But still have those damn southern style rocking chairs on the front porch with a small table for your sweet iced tea.
My neighbors will sit on lawn chairs in their garages/driveways and people-watch, so this doesn't surprise me that much, actually.
Yep, people will sit on the stoops in the front of their brownstones in Brooklyn. Everyone has got nosy neighbors who want to watch everything.
To watch all the Townies heading to the beach.... "really they brought that with them, arghhhhh obviously from the city"
You watch them flock in the summer and then sit on the porch and watch them leave and the peace come back haha
Had a ten hour school day, plus homework and studying and taking care of my family/pets. Really looking forward to listening to this while working now. I felt really tired and anxious today to the point where I wanted to cry (senior year lol) and just wanted to say YOU inspire us in ways you can't even imagine. @@ayangyi the point is, it's her talking to herself. Not to us, per say. It's her, sitting in a room talking to herself doing something she's not that confident about. So yes, it's probably gonna slip here and there and she almost always laughs after so it's apart of her humor sometimes. Not just her being mean to herself for views or something
My ex had crippling anxiety, and his therapist told him something that was a total gamechanger.
Whenever you do something or make something that you're not sure is good, change how you talk about it.
Make it like, ridiculously, laughably grandiose. Be hyperbolic.
If you paint a picture, don't say, "this is crap, I suck."
Say, "Well, time to replace the Mona Lisa."
If you write a poem, say, "yeah this is definitely the best thing ever written. Shakespeare could never."
With everything. And even though it's still self deprecating and you'll obviously be saying it sarcastically, it still has an effect on your mindset over time.
And my ex stuck with it because he actually thought it was kinda fun, to come up with hilariously grandiose stuff.
Like we'd be dressed up to go out, and he was insecure about the way he looks, so we'd walk into a room and he'd say to me, "okay, now don't feel bad when all the women start throwing their underwear at me. I can't help being this hot."
And after like 6 months, his entire demeanor was different. He was actually a little more confident. Definitely more secure in himself. And just happier in general. It was crazy, how such a little thing made such a big difference.
So now I tell everyone about it, every time the subject of insecurity or anxiety comes up.

I’m a big simsie fan, but she seems like an EA empath (“sim”path if you will) lately. She excuses stuff because she understands their roadblocks when before she would have finished them over some of the (paid) content they released lately.
I feel like all the early access crew are suspect of this. It seems like an NDA or other agreement in place of “praise EA or lose your perks.”
Jocelynn Nichole It’s not as sinister as that. It’s human nature to be understanding toward people when you have met them in person and heard them explain their thinking and limitations. I think Kayla roasts them plenty as do a lot of the other big you tubers, they just have the bigger picture in mind.

There’s so much gameplay we could get if they allowed us to buy homes in other worlds without living there and to make every world a vacation destination.

I wish the sims would make a patch or an update to allow the career of “land lord” where they can own the home and have to maintain upkeep when appliances or things of that nature go wrong.
I like how clean & functional your houses are.

Since Brindleton Bay reminds me of Maine with the rocks and the lighthouse (I lived there for over 20 years), I can safely say, the outside would have been great with white or the light blue you had. Many seaside cabins in ME are that blue color. The inside colors are pretty much right on, pastels with bright and driftwood color pops, light floors so no spending your whole vacation sweeping the sand off a dark floor, lol. Very calm and peaceful...exactly what the doctor ordered :D
How did I forget how absurd the Sims3 store was 😂 New found appreciation for the Sims4 pricing, honestly. Also it's pretty nice the game actually runs without crashing now... But I do miss how much you got in an expansion back then, and there was all of this cool stuff to do, so many hobbies etc.
I love this so much❤❤ the postcard idea is so sweet. I love everything about this renovation. MsGryphi's builds are always stunning and Kayla really did a great job on making this one look so sweet and welcoming and I want to stay here IRL so badly lol

I feel like realism wise it would have been really cool to overgrow some plants under the house.
I bought the toddler set a while back! I wanted it so bad as a teen. Its awesome. So worth the money IMHO. The changing table, play pen, walker etc it just brings a whole new level of realism to tots!

my grandma lives in a house where a long time ago someone wanted an extension but didn’t feel like building a new room, so they lifted up an old room, moved it across town, and called it a day. i fully support you moving houses around or making frankenhouses. it’s realistic!

7:16 so funny story about ladders... We went to Canada a year back (y'know, when travelling was still a thing) and we hired a van where there was a double bed "downstairs" and 2 matrasses "upstairs". By upstairs I mean you had to go up a very narrow ladder. So I wanted to sleep downstairs bc my motor skills are those of a 2-year old, but my brothers both had back problems so me and my dad had to sleep upstairs and whenever I had to use the bathroom in the middle of the night I nearly broke my neck falling down the stupid ladder lol. I was kinda glad to be home, just to lower the risk of me breaking my neck going down the stairs. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk

Every non lived in lot should be rentable. When you want to buy a house, it no longer become a rental house. You should also be able add a air BNB lot trait and sign up to be a host through the computer or phone. Also I want hotels... Maybe we could even buy hotels and run them ourselves!

Brindleton Bay is based off New England. I live in New England and I can tell you it's *not* cold all the the time. It can get pretty warm/hot here in the summer. Sure it's not like Florida but summer can be pretty warm, and awfully humid here.
The computer I had while the Sims 3 was out, couldn't even run the Sims 3 vanilla base game. (heck, that thing struggled to run the Sims 2) So I have never really played The Sims 3.

Brindleton Bay is a lot like an Oregon beach, it’s rocky and cold. Only there’s more thunder and snow in Brindleton Bay which doesn’t happen often in Oregon. But there is a lot of wind and rain on the coast. Brindleton Bay is my favorite world to play in. ❤️

for the record, I love your building style! Sometimes I feel like Sims creators make builds so crammed and cluttered, which is beautiful to look at but difficult to actually play.

Story idea: A poor college student finds a really nice Renovated house that was supposed to be an air B and B. The owner tells them no one booked the house and they just wanted to sell it and get some money back. So they buy it and quickly figure out why no one rented the air B and B. There are mean ghost couple who haunt there old house. There whole purpose seems to be to drive you away form your new house. They love butting in your conversations and belittling you and are mean old souls.
I loved the resorts in Island Paradise!! I watched Curtis Paradis build his resort through his YT videos and was so amazed at what he did!

A young couple decided to go tiny before it was cool. They lived in a trailer in the forest for their entire lives. About 50 years after they died some kids found it in the forest and want to make it their clubhouse. The kids are Amanda, Rebecca, and twins Charlie and Emerly. Amanda loves knitting, Rebecca likes to paint, Emerly and Charlie and very studious and enjoy reading a cooking. Each child would like their hobbies to be honored. Emerly and Charlie's grandmother left them 5k each in her will. Amanda and Rebecca are also chipping in. Together they have a 15k budget.

These fixer upper videos are pretty fun! I know you typically don't do too much sims 3 content, but there's one sims 3 house that I think would be a fun fixer upper because it's not an awful shell, but it's just---look it up and see. Anyways, the house is the Law household in Starlight Shores at 118 foothill drive. It's pretty bad and I would love to see a transformation of it.
