    I have been absent for a while and am spending my Sunday catching up on your videos. I find it a very nice way to spend my day. Between sickness and a broken ankle I've been unable to focus on videos. I'm still in a cast but the pain is less now. I hope you have been well.

      Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been unwell, dear Sabrina! 😞 And ouch! 😣 A broken ankle is no fun at all, I have rather unstable ankles myself and have had a number of injuries myself. I’m sending much love and healing your way! 💚 Thank you for spending a part of your day with me! 🙏💛

    I think this is an excellent way to showcase your knowledge as a stand-alone that more than holds its own! Personally, I think Botticelli is always relevant to any discussion of Renaissance art and its influence on a wider swath of cultural/historical expression. Seeing his paintings at the Uffizi has moved to tears at two very different stages of my life. I love that you have and treasure that deck, and included it in your historical review. 👏👍🌹 Thanks for putting the Sforza Strength card into a perspective beyond the image itself. It's already helping me to respond with my mind and not my heart. 💙

      Thank you so much, dear Acey, for your kind comment! It means a lot to me! 🙏🧡
      I’m so happy to read that we share our love for Botticelli, how can one not enjoy his masterpieces, right? So much beauty and skill! 🤩
      I was about 8-9 years old when I first saw his Birth of Venus in a book and I promised myself to witness the original painting one day, and that dream came true last September for me.🥰
      I always look forward to your Top Tarot Trumps videos, Acey, and I cannot wait to see your selection of Strength Cards! 🩵

      @@musingsbymascha For me, it was Primavera, and I saw it for the first time at age 18. Then I saw it again much later, when my son had a year of language immersion for his junior year of high school, and we visited him during winter break. My cards are ready - I'm just waiting for the promised thunderstorms and lowered temperatures coming tomorrow and over the weekend.

    Good idea to split these up; I like to take time to listen the history but also be able to just check out your favorites section when I have less time. I like the Visconti di Madrone! I figure when the mouth is held open she's about to drop in a treat :) 🦁 I also love Dreaming Way. Thanks, Mascha!

      Thank you so much for your feedback, Nancy!🙏💖 I'm so happy to hear you like the idea of splitting my instalments into 2 parts - I promise Part 2 will be much shorter! 🥰

    I really like the versions with the column! It would be great to see that imagery in some more modern decks, as I don't think it's one we see very often, the lion seems much more common.
    Always fun to watch the progression of the card over time through your extensive collection. Thank you for taking us through this history, I'm looking forward to seeing your selection of favourites too 😊

      Oh! And I'm going to guess the Pavlov will reappear, the black dog is quite unique (it's definitely going to be in my favourites!)

      Yes, like you, I also like the version of the Strength Cards with a column/pillar, Tye! I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed the historic detour for this Arcanum!🙏🧡
      ...I must admit though, I'm still battling narrowing down my faves...🥰 I love virtue cards in tarot, and there are so many fantastic ones! 😻

    I always imagine that the woman is holding the broken column together rather than breaking it 😮😮😮😮😮 Like avoiding it to fall apart

    at 11:33 I do not think he is striking the lion, the character's gaze is much higher and in the distance, the lion seeming to have targeted the same common enemy (both man and lion have almost the same facial expression) 😊

      @musingsbymascha  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Yeah, I come to the similar conclusion in the end at around 12:28.. 🥰🦁🧡
