It is very jolly but I suppose from the perspective of the reptiles suddenly given some tasty thieves to devour.....
This is the Grand Galop Chromatic by Liszt
My first reaction on listening to this was "damn, it's a total Liszt pastiche". Now my reaction: "it's an amazing Liszt arrangement" :)
It sort of an inside joke. This section is “The Thieves” and Adès “stole” from Liszt.
@@jimwilt4944 Actually the title "Dante: Inferno" already alludes to Liszt.
Marginally better than Johann Strauss II's version 😂
