- This is what they did with the Nights In White Satin - The Trip ride. It's still rather unique, but such a shame they couldn't keep the Moody Blues themed experience.

It makes Superstar Limo suddenly look good.
I've seen alot of just awful dark rides but this one...I think it's possibly the worst dark ride in the world.
True... they could've done it better, but the plot is decent enough for an animated movie. I just wish someone could find the ride's soundtrack and a decent animator to make such a movie possible.

there was one that was worse: it was one of those cheap carnival train rides, but it had no props or theming on the ride. You just go through a big dark room with no decorations.
I rather take an acid trip than this. HRP fans knows what I'm referring to
the only great thing about that ride was the air conditioning
i rode this as a 5 year old with my cousins. for someone who had never been to a theme park before, this dark ride was awesome. we rode it over and over and never got tired. worst part was the whole thing smelled like wax and i can never get that smell out of my nose.
this new ride is a slap in the face to Sally corp. (the people who made the NIWS ride)
i hate at the end when the 'monstar' :P said exit the vehicle. Yeah the vehicle that sally corporation designed and didn't intend to be used in some new shitty ride!
Just to say I asked a question and they said they didnt do monstars of rock they did the ride system cause it was for nights in white sating but they never did Monstars of rock

This is probably the worst dark ride that has been put together so far. I really hate that Nights in White Satin had to removed, that was a really awesome ride before it was turned into this mess. Even the Jurassic Boat Ride thing in Pigeon Forge is probably better than this XD.

What is this...I don't even...you know...in high school I went to Hard Rock Park's production blog every day, waiting in excitement, hoping to go someday. Heck I even did a presentation on it for my speech class. I now realize that I will now regret for the rest of my life never making it. What makes it worse is seeing what they almost turned it into, and I'm at least glad I didn't waste time on the new owners
No there was another ride that won top dark ride but then when it change to freesetyle with new buyers and new franchise they changed it but when I was a kid I loved it

Actually not as bad as I thought it was going to be. To quickly retheme this ride (I assume Sally Corp did it) in such a short time must have been difficult. I have set up haunted houses in my basement pretty fast though. The speed tunnel room was under utilized. Almost anything they would touch though would have been copyrighted. Like Journey Into Imagination... newer editions are passable but oh what it used to be. Nights in White Satin... you can't beat the music alone of that ride.
Sally did NOT re-theme it. A shitty company called ITEC Entertainment did.
when i went on this i thought it was gnna b a roller coaster but it was hillarious bcuz it was soo dark nd this old lady in front of us couldnt see in da dark nd kept running into da wall
The budget was terrible, but the story and music weren't too bad. If this was made as an animated short film, then it might have been better received; it didn't need to be a ride.
Bogus. The same thing happened to The Cave at Six Flags Over Texas back in 1991. It became a generic Looney Tunes boat ride without the weirdness, lightning, scary effects, etc.
So sad. I'd love to attend a Dark Park with all dark rides and coasters where the best ones were preserved for all time. Alas... 'tis never to be.

While this ride looks beyond boring, I do have to say that the music is surprisingly pleasant, especially at 1:07. Does anyone know what the source is?

I am guessing they couldn't keep it as it was because they lost the licensing to Nights in White Satin when ownership changed? But was it really that bad, or are people just upset because it used to be better as what it was before?
Yeah, it's the second one. The original Nights in White Satin ride was amazing. Went from being one of the best rides in the park to one of the worst dark rides in the world.
Well that's unfortunate. But I suppose there could be worst ones out there (unfortunately none come to mind).
