Previous videos gave time to look at all the little details, but this one is swinging around a lot, going in and out of zoom and generally making it quite hard to enjoy the intricacies of the campus. While I really appreciate you making these videos, Duncan, it would be cool if you could do an extended cut that took things slower?

Nice job Duncan! Too bad you're letting these go to Storyful, we could've made an awesome collaborative video of the construction from (close to) the beginning all the way through to completion. ( I don't sell my videos or the rights, did it once... never again). If you have footage NOT used in this video or any other you have done during the months I didn't and are interested in making a time lapse together... let me know. By the way... nice shots of the Pacifica coastline falling into the ocean... GREAT TIMING! I had reconstructive spinal surgery in Nov, hence why I've not flown over AC2 lately. But.... I'm about to get released to do these things again.

+MyithZ Maybe the right question would be to collarborate on the videos as a threesome and put them on the website? Anyway. Just had an afterthought today. What if the circle thing is the roof for the auditorium and there planing to flip it upside down for the observation deck. And the structure underneath is the guard rail. Maybe they are doing to fill that area with windows? And than how would you get to the roof? Just a crazy thought. On the adjacent round building. would we have 2 pages for videos or one page with lots of videos? How do we do this as three without treading on anyways feet?
+Duncan Sinfield I was pretty worried. Had a friend with a simular surgery to have a fusion and one of his screws broke and my friend here is back to square one. My neighbor has a cage and is on permanent disability.
+websuspect I sure don't like the sound of that since I have both the cage and a fusion. Gotta be pretty rough on yourself to break Titanium screws. Was he doing something he shouldn't have been?

Man, the parking structure is bigger than a lot of company HQs
The karma will come back to haunt not long after completion. The obscene amounts spent on this building only shows everyone how overpriced their products are. As their stuff becomes less cool and less popular, they'll be left with a fancy headquarters crammed with middle managers wandering the hallways with annoyed looks on their faces - trying to look busy. Why should tech consumers fund such extravagance in return for relatively unremarkable mass-produced gadgets and services? Is Apple saving the world? This building would make a good learning institute one day when Apple's bottom line forces them to sell up.

Exactly. Our throw-away spoiled brat society is not healthy for us or the planet. Apple are not the only offenders. Phones should be built to last, robust, with replaceable batteries and expandable memory. The software should get more efficient over time, not "in need of new CPU and more hardware".

I'm not trying to be original, or picking on Apple. All tech giants have a responsibility not to be fucking this planet by pushing a throw-away gadget culture. When I see buildings like this, I see a company motivated by profit above all. Meanwhile, the landfill e-waste, the mining for precious metals, the billions wasted in court on patent disputes, the millions wasted on advertising.. All that money comes from people and their over-worked, over-stressed 9-5 lives, and it all goes to Apple for their new mothership building. Any questions?

It's a shame Apple doesn't make similar-idea video reports on the building of their campus. If they did, every shot would be immaculate, dwelling in perfect stability while interesting milestone moments occurred in transfixingly sharp, viewer-connected framings. Until that happens, there are these.
I live right at the new campus door step, not looking forward to all the new car traffic this will bring. With 12,000 employees it will be a nightmare.

Compare this place to the working conditions at some of their overseas factories. Looked neat on paper but this thing is someone's overblown edifice complex.
