So huh, it's been nearly a whole year. A whole year passed after i planned to do this. A lot of things had happened in such seemingly short period of time. Originally i wanted to make full blown video with changing slides and stuff, plus couple more additional stuff i wanted to include. Should i even say how this idea ended up, as we're here...
I started uploading soundtracks on this channel just for fun and for public aknowledge - nobody has not yet posted such a thing, i felt like the first. Datamining was my somewhat hobby - i liked (and still like) to dig in some game's files, to find something that had been left from it's past, it's very history. But the problem is, not always soundtracks are labeled properly - like in case of LN2, a lot of things are separated "tracks" or files, with developement names. So that's when i picked up that idea about restorating these soundtracks - not only just uploading scraps of files, but imagining that if they were released officially. What a crazy idea, isn't it. Through it does follow a couple of issues: sometimes i am wrong and messing up what track is where used; and making own names for them even in OST style will not make them my propery at all, i do aknowledge that and feel slightly guilty. But after all, i do hope it's not that bad. Just a little of imagination...
Here, i finally made by arse to get up and make this medley - previously uploaded tracks in new iteration, and even new previously unposted ones.
Oh and, if you wonder what happened to old ones - they are still up, you can find it in Playlists tab or here: • Little Nightmares II U...
I decided to keep these.
Thanks for sticking up for this crazy experience, sure it was fun. Was it fun to you? I do hope so. I have no idea how i will use this channel in future, but hopefully the beyond is holding something great...
Sorry for my bad english, if there's any. - Hudba
The old hunter theme ends this way because The Hunter was actually meant to get caught in one of his own beartraps.
BWAHAHAHA L
This version of *”Hope and Betrayal”* actually feels like they made it past the jump but Six then shoved him off instead of dropping him since the part before the drop in the music is more dragged out and feels like they did indeed make the jump before Six betrayed him.
Well that's even worse!
Judging by an unused map, it appears that the slightly more likely possibility was that Six and Mono would become separated, and instead of trying to find a way to help him, she turns and runs away. It's even mostly animated, albeit with incomplete level and audio design
@@moca6655oh really? Which one?
Actually, in the old version of the ending, Mono jumps and grabs onto a cliff and struggles pulling himself up, Six stares at Mono for a moment and walks away. Mono drops and falls down in the bottomless pit out of shock
@@macaronipotato thats even worse 😭
7:45 now that part is creepy, it's like clown's laugh. CREEPY
Was listening to this at 1AM alone in the dark, switched to latest comments about 30 seconds into the video, saw this comment, pressed the time stamp, almost pissed my pants scared. Thanks
nothing beats little nightmares
Agreed
Yeass!
i agree

Love how parts of “hunger” sound similar to six’s theme I in little nightmares
"Deja Vu" and "Deja Vu - Main Menu Version" hits different 😔
Hey there, I'm a fellow amateur soundtrack composer (though most of my work is not publicly available). I would like to applaud your clear effort and devotion to the narrative design and quality of the soundtrack. My favorite is your rendition of Disposable Entertainment. I have a track inspired by Tobias' published version that I'll be releasing in a month or two, so it is both very surreal and pleasing to hear someone else's version of the track that kickstarted my work. :D
the end of mesmerizing transmission is so beautiful what … someone please post it seperately omg
2:49 I really wish this was in-game, since it's in the attic part of the Hunter's cabin. It would have been nice to know it wasn't just ambiance but an actual track.
5:05 this variant of Boots Through the Underground has Mono's axe strikes in there; hearing them makes me think the Hunter's shooting enormous arrows at the kids instead of firing his gun.
16:20 wow, finally, the ambiance that's in the background of Lost in Transmission when you ascend higher into the Tower. I've been wondering forever where I could listen to it just by itself.
19:57 I find that I prefer this version of End of the Hall than the one in-game. It feels more final and sad, fully encapsulating his conflicting emotions over this, a mixture of overwhelming grief of abandonment and the hopelessness of being unable to ever get out of there.
22:17 definitely does sound like they wanted to tie the Maw in here. It also feels like it thematically ties in with End of the Hall, as the final couple of notes indicate hopelessness in an inevitably cruel world. Meanwhile, 24:50, now that's a pretty unique tune (apart from it being a modified LN2 main theme) but I prefer it over the chorus-y one we got because it feels somber, more of a solo affair, and also just depressing as all hell. Are they both called Deja Vu in the game files, because they sound nothing alike.
27:50 is *definitely* a call-back (call-out?) to the Maw. Maybe for the secret cutscene where Six goes to the Maw?
1: that's actually the attic theme's chimes isolated, so it still is the ambience one lol
2: about the last one, it's the track for the bonus ending scene
@@FV0RT3X Well, more I know. Glad the chimes are isolated then.
"Deja Vu" is name i gave to it, because the soundtrack was supposed to play in scrapped easter egg as i've been informed (and also i've checked by myself) - you've could visit one of The Maw's room through TV at some point, but this was cut for unknown to us reasons and probably early in developement. Sadly there's not too much of information, but probably this also would unlock LN1 themed menu? Or by something else. Either way, "Deja Vu" because it's something that we would feel and recognize as a player/listener, though for characters it would be unknown and unseen new place (even if it wouldn't be really canon because that still would be a easter egg that probably wouldn't interfere main plot)
19:57 this one isn’t as grand as the final one it’s more pretty and sad🥺 it gives off more vibes of time passing
Disposable Entertainment sounds like Thin Man's kind of theme though.. because in the beginning it sounds like Mono was getting close and close to the thin man
I can see why they didn't use tiny flickers in LN2 because it sounds kinda like sixs music box
Just love how much Attic Ghosts is so sweet and cold at the same time, damn this is amazing !
Thank you for uploading this! I love me some unused stuff for LN!
Even more great songs, shame some of these went unused. I can here what I think is inspiration from Cristobal Tapia De Veer in Mesmerizing Transmission and others, forgot who I was listening to at that point. Lilja outdid himself.
Hope and Betralay one is my favourite
The old hunter theme is more terrifying then the new one
so much more. its mortifying
I wish they kept the main menu deja vu, just to hit us in the feels more
This thing at the end scares me so much for some reason.
Anyway, the animation is beautiful. ❤️
This came out great
Ok who else thinks that the concept art and these themes should be like a gameplay
Hell yes!
Perfect
Why is nobody talking about Disposable Entertainment One? I prefer this one instead of the other in my opinion, reason is cause the pale city has like the citizens all glitched out and the television sets and the transmission tower, and it fits perfect for the game
*"mesmerizing transmission"* was actually used in the game, its another one of the TV soundtracks. if you listen closely it's like the main theme mixed up
yeah, but it was never released and i recall someone asking to upload it. Aswell i did put unused chorus variant of final chapter ambience there, as i thought it'd fit
I like the Unused Disposable Entertainment more
Would you be interested in posting the different tracks as separate videos? I'd love to add a few to some of my mood playlists.
Wait they were gonna fit a hunger theme?
it plays during secret post-credits scene if you collect all glitched remains. Never was released to public, thus never was heard by non-datamining people without static noises and such. This one falls under "used but unreleased" category
My heart good feel
7:45 I feel like this part in the song would have been perfect for when the Hunter was shooting at you, I feel like it would have made the scene feel a lot more scarier to run through lmao
why did you unlist everything? you're videos were great
i think there was originally going to be an extra scene in the secret ending of six arriving at the maw. hence the title “deja vu”, being named as such, and the first part sounding just like “new arrivals” from the first game.
deja vu is not really an official name.
This track actually meat to be for a cut easter egg, not much known but something related to going through certain TV and appearing in The Maw for a short time (i believe room or two). Perhaps Main Menu version was unlockable? But again, little known, and big sad it's likely got cut early, because all bits of info exist only in demo version with 2019 prototype stuff 😔
@@HarrenTonderen ohh ok! btw where do you find all this?
@@bugisbonkers tracks i found in game files, both demo version and regular, though i had to use some tools to extract these and then put together into something that sounds like full piece. Some specific details (including cut easter egg i mentiod) i found out thanks to other community members like F.V0RT3X
@@HarrenTonderen oh ok!! yeah i’m a big fan of the game and i love seeing little things like this
wait, how'd you find the intro parts of mesmerising transmission? i dug through the audio channels of the LN2 files and i couldn't find it.
if i'm not wrong these are labeled as 624024431 and 624024431, but i don't remember which soundbank exactly. I think i used some specific tool to inspect it, but i do not have it anymore
@@HarrenTonderen
actually, nvm. i worded that completely the wrong way and i have no idea what im talking about. whati meant was where did you find the folder to the audio file? i also know that unreal viewer cant extract LN2's audio properly so i used a program that extracts the unreal engine audio separately. that, and also the other songs.
also, i hope you don't mind but will you put each individual track up for download like on google drive or mediafire?
2:50 even though it was basically made for the school attic level, isn’t it used in the cabin attic?
Well yeah, aswell as Hunger theme used in secret ending. I rushed this video at night so i may forgot to count some as "non-officialy released but used"
@@HarrenTonderen oh ok, also you forgot to include the stuffed family theme(Mus_Hunter_Taxidermy_1)
@@FV0RT3X oh, probably i didn't knew about it by the time when these were assembled. I also wanted to include Glitched Remainings theme (is it how they are called? I don't remember already) and alpha viewers ambience. But ultimately ended up not doing that sadly
@@HarrenTonderen You can always upload them to another video. Honestly out of all the ln unused soundtrack videos I have seen you're the one who did them the best
@@coolshelterdude7438 Thank you. If i ever revisit this, i may just make an google drive or something because this idea sounds much better
Are all of these files left over in the final game, or were they from a demo/previous version before updates that removed them? I've looked through my game files and found some unused stuff (such as the unused renditions of Playtime), but I can't find most of them in there.
most of these are from demo version yeah
@@HarrenTonderen I'll have to look into that then, thanks!
@@HarrenTonderen How'd you find the file names? I don't see most of the unused audio having listings in the soundbank list
@@moca6655 some of files does not have names, yeah. But i don't really remember, there was some tool that helped me just a little, but still some thing are blind guess
@@HarrenTonderen Ah I see
Question, did you also find a large chunk of a Bob Ross episode as an audio file in the demo? I came across that and I was... interested to say the least lol
Where did u get the artwork?
it was released by bandai for 5 year anniversary at their website, as part of free content bundle
An unused soundtrack named “hunger” in little nightmares 2??!
it's used but was never posted anywhere (it's secret ending soundtrack)
disposable entertainment sounds a bit like blue sizzle from kevin macleod
Tbh the old tracks sound better
Hey Harren, I have a question.
what is it
