- Hello. do it yourself a simple electronic circuit to amplify sound powerfully. In this video I will show you how to make such a circuit. we need a transistor NPN D718, a transistor PNP B688, resistor 100kΩ, capacitor 100 µF, rheostat 5kΩ (you don't use rheostat, the amplifier circuit will work normally). The sound will be very loud and full of bass and treble. However, this circuit still has the limitation that the speaker must bear a large DC current of 0.7A, so you should use large speakers to avoid damaging your speakers. how? It will work. But the speaker is driven with a Dc-bias current. If the DC voltage is 12 Volt as suggested and the speaker is 4 ohm type then the DC current accross the speaker winding is 6 Volt / 4 ohms= 1.5 Amp's. That's not good for the speaker. And last but not least: This setup is far away from 500 W.
