  • Packrafting Silly Stilly (Class III+)
A February packraft run down the beautiful South Fork Stillaguamish River on a run called the Silly Stilly, in Washington's central Cascade Mountains. The 8.2 miles run starts at Boardman Creek bridge on the Mountain Loop Highway at mile post 16.8, and ends on a small beach at the Verlot Campground. The river was at 5.7 feet during our run.
The run is mostly Class II boulder gardens, but there are two named Class III rapids. The first is Wiley Creek Rapid, rated Class III+, or Class IV in higher water. The second is Ski Jump, which has some wood hazards immediately downstream on river right.
We paddled Alpacka Classic (bit.ly/2FzZGTN) and Alpacka Expedition (bit.ly/30WD6Rd) rafts. Learn more about Alpacka packrafts: snp.link/f087e7df
