Thank you for the overview tour. I Love Nordhavns, lots of neat design touches, ocean crossing ability, a pilot house cabin, and the tinder stored up front. IMHO I prefer dual main engines, and my personal hangup fiberglass hulls unlike Bering and Allseas

Nordhavn boats are second to none and the 76 is manageable by a cruising couple.

I like how Nordhavn's look like military vessels.

I love this Nordhaven. I'd love to cruise it up the east coast from the Bahamas all the way to Newfoundland and Labrador. I think this is a capable boat to cross the Atlantic and stop in Iceland on the way to the UK. This lovely boat would be our spacious home most of the time we touted the UK for a year, then explore its northern islands before venturing back to Nova Scotia and Maine. We'd run her south to the Panama Canal and go over into the Pacific, where we'd slowly move north to Alaska and see as much of the Alaskan coast as possible, exploring British Columbia on its way back to its new home in Seattle.

If it's not steel, it's a fareweather toy for fareweather sailors.
And I'm sure they're great for that....as long as you don't hit anything solid, including a solid wave.
    GRP, is non forgiving.

Don’t buy a fiberglass boat with a 30 year shelf life. It’s a trap. A steel or aluminum boat will last 100 years and after you pay off your boat will have value. When you pay off your fiberglass boat it’s usually not worth that much anymore.

jimb I could not disagree with you more. I have a 1971 42 foot sailboat made of fiberglass that is built like a brick shit house. The boat is over 50 years old and lives in HI and deals with some of the roughest seas going and is just as strong today as it was in 1971 when the haul was laid. There is an old boat saying: Steel is real Glass last

In theory it’s more economical to run the vessel with a bulbous bow, the shape is more efficient. Usually cruise ships and vessels of a big size have them. It might pay off during the life of the boat but isn’t essential to have one.

Why are you showing 2 different boats in this video. One of them has full side decks and the other is a wide body.
