Story 1: OP needs to grow a pair and
-Sue his former employers for wrongful termination and for slander in costing him a job
-Tell his family and others the truth as to why he cannot take in his family nor buy them a house
-Break contact with them and potentially sue them for defamation of character for implying he is being stingy
Exactly what I was thinking
Story 1: Wow the OP's brother is so entitled to the point where it gets sickening. He thinks 'oh yeah since we're family, the OP is gonna give me some money and take care of me and mom" Uh no thank you.
Story 2: The father's wife is crazy thinking the OP "wrecked her life". Either she's crazy or taking drugs.
Story 3: Maybe the OP should've politely said "excuse me there's a couple of people waiting to be served".
Story 4: I'm no expert on this sorta thing, but I'm glad the OP got back at the entitled rep.
Story 5: Maybe the girl should've kept the bracelit on her wrist.

About the server at the restaurant. Where I do agree, she should have been more on point with that other table. I do have to point out that, that table in question was not her table to begin with. And she should have told the customer who was talking to give her a minute to make sure the other table is ok. I still want to know where in the h*ll the other server was and why she wasn't doing her job to begin with! Why is this server expected to take all the blame when there was supposed to be another server working the other tables. I think there is more than one 1 jerk for this one. But I do get it when someone gets started.

That's what I heard, that that booth belonged to another server. And if the hostess seated someone there and thought it was OP's table, shouldn't she have told OP? Surely the regular staff are familiar with various regular customers and could have seen that OP was with a talky regular and gotten her attention. And lastly, the two guys were jerks for not just saying something like, 'hey miss, could we get some service please?'. That would've given her a reason to bounce from talky guy. This sounds like one big cluster that's not entirely OP's fault.
Anyone else here kinda annoyed by how every story title has some variation of "I seriously don't know what to do" in it?

Story 1: Ok, the OP needs to cut out and disown the family here, no questions asked. All the people mentioned here just do not care about the OP at all, and he shouldnt' either. First of all, why should he help them with all the badmouthing they do? Thats certainly not going to help their cause, and if i were the OP, i would clear the air about what lies they are telling to everyone else. Second, the now deceased grandmother didnt care about the OP either, so why should he do something to help with the estate, considering he was excluded? Third, the brother wont lift a finger to help the OP, so why should he help him? Are they related to the "Do it for Dan" family or something? Fourth, if the previous employer is slandering the OP for reporting workplace harassment, is there anyway he can sue them for said slander or get a cease and desist or something.... because that is just very wrong. Hopefully the OP has some positive things coming his way soon and can get away from the family here.
Story 2: Its good that the OP re-connected with her father here, but the OP has done nothing wrong here. The dads wife is a complete drama queen and if there is anything wrong with the marriage here, its all on the wife, no doubt about it. It really sounds like there is a ton of things behind the scenes here and this is an obvious excuse to put all onto someone else here. OP needs to 100% show that text to her father here.... because im willing to bet the wife is badmouthing the OP to the father here.
Story 3: Okay, how much of this is the fault of the OP here, and how much is those customers just being jerks and the other customer just talking too long? Hopefully the OP doesnt lose her job over this, but also shouldnt be talking too long with a single customer/table, even if it is encouraged. Also, another server could've helped those other customers too..... no need to leave a bad review like that.
Story 4: If they send you something that you dont order.... dont pay for it, malicious compliance or not. It really sounds like someone royally messed up behind the scenes, or someone is up to some very shady things here. Honestly, i would've let them sue the OP for messing up things, especially with the comment that rep made on the phone.
Story 5: OP is not a jerk at all here. This is a big reason why you don't wear jewelry in places like pools etc. The lady deserved to lose her bracelet. Wonder if she even returned for it...... highly doubt it.
For story 4, if I could afford the $6,000 I'd have paid it too. You don't want to mess with tech companies that can make stuff that expensive. Since he paid for it, that makes it his legally and harder to go after him since he fulfilled his part of the contract.

For story 3 she's not at fault because come on, you're such a jerk you can't wait 20 minutes when you got a crowded restaurant and it's a hooters we know why they come there they were probably going to leave as soon as they got their good look, because I have been at restaurants where it's so crowded that we had to wait one hour to get taken care of, it's not something unusual if a restaurant is crowded especially if you're not an usual, usuals always comes first and get extra service

Story 5: No way on Earth is the OP the jerk here. The lady was told not to wear jewelry in the pool. she deserved to lose her bracelet. The OP tried to look for the bracelet but couldn't find it so you couldn't blame the OP for trying. The lady should have left her number so they could contact her for when and if they found her bracelet. Like the narrator said if the lady didn't want to wait for The pool staff to empty the pool so they could look for the bracelet, she could have gotten into the water and look for it herself.

ok so the entitled brother reminds me of my situation I've been healthy most of my life but I felt a hard time breathing november 5th and I asked my roommate to come in and if I pass out or something he call 911 he comes in and says I look like sh*t so I was like maybe I should call the non emergency number the firemen come and I'm at 71 on the o2 meter we go out to the ambulance and they leave my bag with my cellphone and I find out what danger I was in so I'm stuck at the hospital with no cell phone for a few days somehow my mom calls me in the hospital I ask her to call my roommate to bring me my cell phone and she says she is flying down and I'm like no its not that bad she comes anyways decides to stay at my house and drive my truck since I'm in the hospital for multible things my house is old and me and my roommate arnt the cleanest of people my mom demands my roommate clean up his bathroom and a few other things where he goes and couch surfs till he finds a new place my mom gets my truck hit and rather then get it repaired with the insurance she talks about the windows of my house and how cold it is there so she wanted the payout then use the money on my house I dont want to deal with it so I give up and say sure then she gets a flat and they say she needs new tires and its like those tires are like 2 years old but she doesnt want to drive on unsafe tires i'm like whens the insurance check coming in she already cashed it cause although it was my car they made the check out to her then she does the paperwork for SSI cause I need a hip replacement and a new kidney SSI takes forever to be approved even though I'm stuck in a hospital full of doctors and nurses that could tell them ya he has to have these services and cant do this anymore but its been around 5 months and they are sending out the checks at the end of the month and looks like Im going to get credited for the 5ish months I was waiting to be approved and shes trying to guilt me into giving her a large chunk of the money I'm ment to live on saying shes putting so much work into my house and she has been a horror to my neighbors to the point the cops wanted to talk to me about her (I phoned them but I wasnt much help) and the worst part she guilt trips me if I dont take her side I know my neighbors they wouldnt do half the sh*t she accuses them of doing they have jumped my truck before when the guy next-door was low on money near christmas he offered to shovel my roof for 50bucks there kids come over and offer to mow my lawn in the summer and I'm sapose to believe they are going under the house and stealing the metal foundation of my house or my pex pipes with the water still on? theres no profit there so the only reason to do it is to mess with you cause for 12 years they were good people to me
