Preetam Raj Nah DAMN. wasn’t even that good. His last two albums were underappreciated but overcompensating with DAMN won’t make up for it or be beneficial. Tbh I personally thought Jay-Z’s album was better than DAMN and it was only the fact that it was Kendrick that propelled it so much and also drove Loyalty and Humble to the nominations/awards they got too. Humble video was above average but nowhere near the sort you’d watch and think it’s the best of the year really
Not hating on Kendrick though, I’m happy he’s finally recognised and I by no means hated the album, but his previous two were better and it’s only because he’s so popular now that they’re giving him the acclaim he deserves, only issue is it’s a sort of aimless acclaim.
