    Good day, A little observation. I was thinking the graph shouldnt have an intercept.
    Reason. M=V/U
    M-1= 1/(V/U), which is M-1=U/V.
    Equation of a straight line.. Y=mX+C
    M-1 = 1/V . U where 1/V will be the Slope, and no intercept.

      Thanks for your comment. There is always a horrizontal intercept when the inverse of magnification of a lens or mirror is plotted on the ordinate against the object distance on the abscissa. This intercept is equal to the focal length of the lens or the mirror under investigation.
      However if the reciprocal of the image distance (1/V) is plotted against the reciprocal of the object distance (1/U), an inverse graph is obtained that has equal intercepts at both the vertical and horizontal axes. The reciprocal of any of these intercepts or their average gives the focal length of the lens or mirror. We illustrated this in our Model 2 session of this experiment in this CZcams channel.
