- End of an era! Unfortunately the track will be closing the gates to make way for new housing to be built. The jump competition has always been very popular around the world and many will be sad to see it go!
The winner of this last one was Kevin Lording, his tool for the jump was a Honda Civic
The rules are simple, jump the highest and furthest to win!

What a shame this track has had to close. One of the best and most entertaining banger tracks on CZcams, particularly as many of the cars are almost straight off the street.
Similar shit happened to race track in Lublin, Poland. in 2006 First flats were made near track (100 meters away and dumb ppl bought them, presumably knowing it will be noise here) then track was finally forced to be shut down due to many complains. EDIT: It was really shameful because there are/were only a few serious/professional circuits in Poland.
To say I'm upset and disappointed by hearing this is a understatement bloody council planning committee đ€źđ€źđ€Ź

Y'all have my condolences (from the good ol USA). I loved watching the psychopaths that jumped and "raced" here. It was my favorite banger track, brutal and hilarious. Good luck and god bless y'all.

I'm personally not the biggest car guy or whatever but... damn, i still loved watching these car jump competitions... đâ€đą
What... a... shame! 'Angmering' was always a 'trademark of quality' for me and I haven't found another place on CZcams yet where they use roadworthy vehicles (including windscreen and the lot) for nudge & spin action. Perhaps not as much speed as in other places and without the excitement of follow-ins and all that stuff, but I loved watching the videos (and often watch old ones again and again), so Angmering will stay 'alive' for me.
True, it was fun to watch cars straight from the road and also many events were more actual racing than hitting stalled vehicles like they wanted to kill each other.
I love that they used every normal day cars that are horrible to look at

This place was a massive part of my childhood. The smell of the fresh doughnuts being made as you walk past all the cars being warmed up was great. That and being covered in carbon and crap from the track after a full days racing, water was almost black in the shower! Good times.

What are the odds that this will go the same way as Arena Essex? Bought out for a housing development, only to find that the soil is contaminated with oil, and it costs too much to fix, so the houses never get built, and the track is left abandoned
Seems to be no matter where you are the world, the Council make shit decisions and ruin things!
Arena has a massive sewer underneath that cannot be built on for houses without major work being done. Nothing to do with oil.
That sucks! Will the competition be held elsewhere, or is this just the end of banger racing over there? Love from the US!

its probably more rust than steel underneath, its what we get in the UK for dumping tons of salt on the roads everytime there is even a chance of a frost

Oh no! Grew up near Arlington circuit. Love the bangers. Got into your channel about a fortnight ago. The kids love it. So wanted to come to the real thing (we're still fairly local). Long live brilliant, slightly silly traditions like this in general! Maybe the car jump will reappear somewhere else one day. Traditions that go sometimes return!

It's sad to read that this was the last one and to learn that the track will become a housing project. That's happened too often here in the states. Friends have asked me what I've been doing with my extra spare time, now that I'm retired from my job--they don't understand that watching these jumping videos and the Oval Banger videos are important.... Thanks for the laughs!
Always has to be yet more dullard housing that no-one can afford, ruining things. And it's gone & ruined this track here, which has brought a lot of happiness to many, now being told to bugger off for the usual unaffordable housing nonsense. Hopefully it'll end up somewhere else & can continue, but either way it is just a waste of a great place, being taken over by the usual garbage as mentioned before.
More than likely housing for the droves of immigrants England is letting through its gates right now.
They should do this in town.....that will teach them a lesson or two....lol

What a shame to hear the track will close. People from all over the world love this track, and love to watch the races on it. It's a real shame nothing can be done against to people in charge of the area pushing their weight around. I'd personally hire a lawyer and take them to court over it. This track deserves to live, without a doubt.
In the mean time, I'm glad we had one last send off for everyone involved. Thank you all for the entertainment.

This is the craziest game, we in Indonesia just want to have a car and we haven't achieved it, we have to save for years, this car is still worth it for us, but it gets destroyed like this. If it were given to us, we would definitely like it and be very grateful. I'm from Indonesia

My family and I were there. I would like to send my best wishes to Lil and all of the team at O.R.C. I went to the same secondary school as Lil and remember her well, she was certainly a character! In later years my wife, a teacher, taught her daughter. It saddens me greatly to know it's coming to an end, and all to build a few houses, probably to house the hordes of illegals flooding into our country. The whole day was amazing. I hope there is footage of the caravans at the end of the day, that race was insane!

Someone should 3d scan the track or take 100s of photos so it can be digitally preserved. Look up assetto corsa photogrammetry and how you can make an area with some video/photos.
