  • My name is Rossella Saluzzo, my name recalls the protagonist of the famous novel "Gone with the Wind" by Margaret Mitchell, the enterprising, strong-willed and exuberant Miss Rossella O'Hara from Tara, near Atlanta, in the state of Georgia, in the South.
    I am a woman from the South. I was born in Torre del Greco, in the Leopardi district, in the province of Naples, where the famous poet from Recanati, Count Giacomo Lepardi wrote two wonderful poems: "The broom or the desert flower" and “Moonset.”
    I have lived in Abetone for eight years, a delightful mountain town more than forty kilometers from Pistoia.
    In the years in which time was more marked by the happy hours of childhood, I breathed the familiar and convivial atmosphere of the literary café "Da Don Enrico".
    My grandfather played the mandolin, the guitar and the banjo, he organised: author dinners, poetry and music recitals, cinferoum, literary breakfasts, series of meetings with leading figures from the literary and cultural world, pictorial and photographic exhibitions, fashion shows fashion, reading groups, presentation of authors and books, culinary art courses.
    My grandmother was a soprano and sang the most famous Italian opera arias, my mother is a former photomodel, singer and guitarist, my uncle plays the guitar and bass, he is a composer and arranger of jazz and bossanova music.
    I entertained the public with puppet theater. I made up funny or terribly scary stories.
    When I was a child I had a lot of fun. I really had a wonderful childhood and a happy adolescence and I would like to pass on my enthusiasm to others.
    Over the years, the literary café “Da Don Enrico” transformed into “Rossella's Talk Show”, where I organized meetings with journalists, philosophers, sociologists, personalities from the world of entertainment, art, publishing, economics, of food and wine.
    In this regard, I would like to underline that over the years I have acquired important organizational skills in the field of cultural and social activities.
    I also worked in hospitality facilities:
    1. I am responsible for welcoming customers;
    2. I am a waitress in starred hotels;
    3. I am a tour guide;
    4. I am a kamishibaya.
    During my working life I have diversified my professional experiences, always putting myself on the line, with optimism and curiosity. The common denominator of my studies and work has always been humanistic.
    I have a classical high school diploma and a master's high school diploma which allowed me to teach English, history, physical education, art and image in primary schools.
    Ad maiora
