This has to be my most anticipated weekly youtube channel. For many of us with a passion for fishing, this is a great channel. Very clever ideas and almost always trying to bring up ideas that just about anyone can do. I can't wait to see what's next. Many thanks for all the effort you put into your channel.... Joe from Augusta Georgia...
Thank very much Joe . You know comments like this one really makes the work worth doing . I really do appreciate you saying that . You made my day brother
Couldn't agree more Joe! It's the only Chanel I get notifications from to see what he's come up with 🍻🇨🇦
If people don’t know how to make drift weights by now, there is something wrong with them. You’ve taught us sooo many ways, and I love it! Great video my friend.
I only focus on making em faster lol . After entering a tournament one time and spending 5 hours making paracord weights , I decided I needed a faster way to make em . Lol I thought dropping em made a lot of sence
Love the hacks. Being a DIY'er myself I just made an overhead rod holder from 2 - 1×4's in my garage over my boat. Now I can back my boat in and stand in my boat and hang my rods up. Plus I mounted my charger on the rafters and charge my batteties. All from the inside of my boat...sweet.
That's a good idea 💡 both of em . I'm so a video on rodholders soon
The rod sock came out great, gonna definitely have to start making my own.
You are "The Man". Helping me and others enjoy the sport of fishing, with all of your tryed, true and tested fishing hacks that actually work. Not to mention all of your fishing hacks are very affordable if not free with the stuff I have in my garage.
Thank you Sir , i appreciate it brother i hope they help somebody
Love the spoon out of spoon! That is awesome. Thank you for all the ideas that you come up with. Awesome channel.
Man that means a lot to me , it really does , thank you Sir
TA DAY! Great video! All great ideas! Keep them rollin out! Needed the fishing pole protector one now. Just got in a spool to make my own! Now I am off to get shrink tubing! Thank you! Stay safe and healthy! Keep on catchin and tight lines!
Thank you brother
Great HACKS Keith. You have my mind spinning with all the things I need to be working on. I've always been a believer in pliers weakening a hook I throw a lot of hooks away after unhooking just a few fish. Thanks for sharing and keep the videos coming.
I thought about that too . Plus some hooks are just made in China and don't get heat treated properly
Keith I always look forward to your videos dropping and have used quite a few of the diy's. I work with the expandable braid all the time at my job and we cut nit with a soldering iron or a "hot knife".
I've watched several of your videos and have enjoyed each one; very inciteful and innovative with a great personality.
Don't knock it till you try it, shad sandwich shad burger 😂. Had me rolling when you wuz talking bout fish guts. Reminded me bout Clarence Tuddlespud 😉. Great hacks bud & thanks for sharing 🎣😎
HA! I have recently switched hooks due to "scratches" alot of companies buying hooks overseas, "offsetting" the hooks with pliers...= "scratches" #1 thing I look for in a hook now. Thanks for the awesome content! You keep me busy lol 😆
Great minds think alike 😉 I appreciate it brother
Some of the hacks you do i've done in the past, but others are pure genius, the rod socks, well i'm going to be making my own from now on, keep up the thought process we can always use another fishing idea
Very clever, in fact it's AWESOME. Really dug the spoon from a spoon. My wife will never miss it.
Lmbo
Some of the best fishing hacks on CZcams! Love your content!!!
Hey buddy, that was one AWESOME set of fishing hacks! I was expressed! A few I had already, but the rest were spectacular!!!!!
Simple country girl here. Love your channel so much. Thank you for all you do. Start a Patreon. Plenty of us will support in you.
I will . I've got a Gear store . The link is inthe description box and that way you get something out of it
I'll never scratch my hooks again. A spoon out of a spoon, I like it.
Lol I thought the spoon thing was funny too 😂
@@FishinNStuff it isn't funny when you have a lake trout on that weighs 18 pounds on 6 pound test line and your down 60 feet no joke here they do work. You will need to use the handle Of The spoon to make a nother lure don't be wasting good material.Thankyou for all the DIY they have come in handy and has given me encouragement to follow through on some ideas of my own.
@@sharonnalder3428 that's great man , hey it was regular ppl that make all the cool stuff ppl know and love
I have been fortunate not to lose a big redfish (yet) due to hooks scratch. I am going through my box today and weed out the suspected ones
@@earlewilliams4262 i think the scratches matter , but i think Chinese steel has something to do with it too
Your channel is literally my favorite buddy. Great info and always make me laugh 🤣👍👏👊
Thank you brother , that's a huge compliment and I don't take it lightly. I appreciate that
Yes Sir,,,,,I was right ! YOU are definitely The KING of DIY’s 👍👍👍👍👍. And yes....an awesome fabricator. Totally enjoy watching what you’re going to come up with next ! Have a great one my friend Keith, and hope you and your family stay safe and healthy.
Thank you brother , i appreciate ever single one of your comments and look forward too em
You have earned every good comment from me, you honestly do a terrific job with your videos.
Thank you brother
You’re very Welcome Keith
This has become my second favorite CZcams channel, even though I don't get to fish much any more because I'm 81, and I've slowed down a whole bunch. But it's also one of the funniest channels out there, especially if you turn on the CC to get the captioning! What that automatic captioning does to that accent of yours is often hilarious! (That means funny!) Know what I'm sayiin'? :-)
i know what you sayin lol . it means a whole lot you watching Sir , and it means even more knowing you dont fish much
Thank you for your hacks, I have been looking for a couple of these to save some money. Added bonus I now know what to do with this huge box of koozies I've collected over the years. Keep up the good work.
The DIY Hackmaster !!! Keep the hacks coming, we love-um. Great video, Keep your bait wet and your line tight !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always like your videos there great. Thank you Jim Fisher.
I didn't know that about putting scratches on a hook. Thanks for the heads up, and continue the good work!!
Thank you for watching brother , I just frit like I needed to check it . I was shocked I was right about it lol
Your DIY knowledge is impressive. I have learned a lot from your videos. I don't know what to expect next, but I'm sure it's going to be good.
Thank you Sir
You are the best DIY fishing hack and stuff dude on the interweb. Great Movie!!
Thank you Dan
Absolutely terrific fishin hacks...I'm gonna make some rod socks today for some of my 7 and 8 foot salt rods and also custom size (shorten) some rod socks I bought at Bass Pro Shop years ago for my bass and crappie poles that are just too dang long using the shrink tube method. You remind me of the song by ole Bocephus..."A Country Boy Can Survive." Love your channel partner!
Hey i love that song 🎵 . Heck yeah and that is a great idea about changing the size of the rod socks you already have
i was just thinking of the pole socks and thought of you immediately. Thank you... Never thought of scratching the hooks. Plasti-Dip is on my shopping list...
Haha I hope it helps someone brother
Brilliant spoon hack!!! And the dippin' your split weights is another great one!!
Thank you Sir , I couldn't believe it when the spoon actually worked lol
I'm fixin' to try it out and see what kinda spoons I can invent myself lol thanks for the inspiration!
love your vids ,laughed my guts out ,i just made a spoon out of a sp0on!,love ya from south Australia.God bless.
Thank you Mate
Thanx for all the tips, your ideas are great
Thanks for all the great DIY ideas.
Thank you for watching em brother
Every time I see you have a video, I check the like button before i even watch it. still waiting for the T-shirt.....Fishing Hack #2 But wait for spring now but then again might be a good Christmas present
Great useful fishing hacks , thanks for sharing! New to your channel and glad I came across it ! Really enjoy your content ! Looking forward to your next video !
I love the spoon ideal me and a buddy of mine was talking about trying to make some from finger nail clippers some how lol
That could work man , ive seen a guy catch fish with an ear plug lol
I've been making spoons out of plastic and metal spoons. For at least 45 years, from the age of 12 years old. I watched someone who had been making them, years before me. Here in the UK. I would tend to use a T bar, for unhooking fish. That way your not scratching your hook and using the fishes weigh to remove the hook. Little tip also for spotting your knot in your anchor line. Spray it white, use bright shrink tubing or pass a bright coloured line through the knot and tie in. I really enjoy your fishing hacks and have made some reel covers. Using your design. Take care, stay safe. Tight line! David
Thank you Sir , those are good ideas 💡
love your channel always some great ideas and tips
Some heat shrink tubing on needle nose pliers works well also to not scratch your hooks.
I have a pair of hemostats I put heat shrink on, good for unhooking panfish.
Simply, Awesome!
Thanks!
Thank you very much
You come up with some of the nearest and simplest things that WORK. That not a lot of people take the time to even think up. LOL
Got to love them though
Luv the statement u said for the rod sock " I ain't no wineow" funny.
Lol
Keith I love watching your videos dude. When I'm down, I watch your videos and I feel better. lol.
Man I really appreciate that alot . Thank you
That explains A LOT !!!!
Being a fabrication man by trade - the mind is ALWAYS working on something !!!!
Good ideas !!!
Keep em up !!!!
Thank you
HAHAHAHA!!! "We made a spoon...out of a SPOON!!!" Brilliant!! I'm going to make those rod sleeves for sure. Playing with heat shrink tubing is fun. I make drum rods with that. So many colors!! That way you can see the end of your rod if you use orange or something.
Haha
I love the draggin weights dipped in Plasti-dip. I've made em for years using hollow core boot laces and sz 5 split shot sewn shut on each and. Your method is so much easier. Also, if I'm fishing where I know there's lots of bad snags I'll use old spark plugs for weights. If you lose one of those nothing really lost. A 2 or 3 oz lead weight cost good money unless you make your own. Throw the old spark plugs in a tub of soapy water then rinse to get grease and oil off before using them. DON'T POLLUTE WITH PETROLEUM PRODUCTS.
I've got a video where I used soild core lead . They have became my favorite because they are fast
I love the accent. Also perfect timing on stumbling on to your videos before a much awaited lake fishing trip in June!
what accent????? :)
Lol
Awesome...just fricken awesome stuff. Especially the "spoon outta ....a spoon "!!
Lol . Thank you Sir
Great video man! Spoon out of a spoon, AWESOME!
Lol I thought it was funny but it turned out pretty cool
Great info on the hooks. You the man. Thanks.
Thanks Kevin , I was kind of amazed after I tried it how much easier the scratched hook broke
Like the rod sock.
That's 1 for sure I'll use.
If you buy a big roll you could probably Mahe those for 2 dollars or less
Keep em coming buddy!!! I love these!!!
Thank you Sir
You have some great ideas and I'm going to use the spoon idea. Keep the hacks a coming 👍
Great DIYs as always. Need to get to work on some of those.
Thank you brother
I'm gonna use that rod sock one for sure, those things get expensive! Thanks man
Great video again! Figuring out the hook issues was really using your head brother! I'll change to new hooks a lot more now! Also the spoon trick is something the old timers who fish Lake Michigan here in Chicago swear buy. They slay the Coho and King salmon on them. Happy Fishing!
Thank you brother , i hope my spoon works I was thinking it might just be something for looks lol
@@FishinNStuff Oh it WILL work. Low and Slow is how we do it for the big fish on the big lake ;)
@@CatfishandCrappie thank you brother
Great video Keith! I'm going to have to make some multi colored spoon lures out of spoons! 👍
I think it'll work lol 😆
That plasti dip on your pliers is a great idea. I've got an antique pair of smooth flat tip pliers that have been passed down to me from over 3 generations and they are used to prevent the score marks on your hooks and eliminate breaking.
Good at least I'm not the only one thinking that way lol
Good video! Always captivating to watch. You gotta roll the circle hooks out the same way they went in to avoid damage....
Yep and don't scratch em lolol
Thanks for the rod sleeve cover idea, I'll be making some of those soon.
I fugue if you buy it in bulk you might have 2 bucks or so in em
@@FishinNStuff I found some on Amazon, like 8 of them for $22 but I believe your idea is a better quality. Plus it gives me a chance to get in the garage.
I’m new to your channel! But your videos are great! Pool Noodles,Ammo cans, and 5 gallon buckets good stuff! I work with Tech-Flex all the time,I like the rod sock tip! God Bless!
Thank you , I appreciate it
very educational fishing hacks bro' now I can make my own spoon out of a spoon, love your video, take care out there, happy fishing.
Thank you Sir , I appreciate it . I've done z cork out of a cork I figured I needed a spoon out of a spoon lol
I'm a Fabricator!!!! That sounds like a politicians title, lol. Keep up the great videos, your humor is great, you keep our interest up, I'm a.new subscriber , just found your channel a couple days ago, I will be watching all your videos, and tell my fishing buddies about it too, love the jokes your fishing lure tells. Thank you Sir.
I really appreciate that buddy . We all need a good laugh in this crazy 🤪 world we live in now a days lol .
Dude! Your awesome! Thanks for all the great tips.
Thank you Sir
Was watching your 8 fishing hacks , you really do a great job with all this stuff , I like the Rod Sock good idea , but if you don't mind me adding to it , when you're finished , at the reel end loop you a girls pigtail holder in it hook over the reel crank and the sock won't slide off . Keep up the great work 👍🙂
That's a great idea cause one of mine blew off going down the road haha 😄
I like your page and all your tips keep up the good work man ... I'ma use you tip in my Tik Toks latter thanks a bunch
I love these hack videos. You like the fishing Macgyver!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Hahaha well having grew up in the 80s that's a huge compliment 😅
Awesome, thanks buddy.
So much better than those other fishing "hack" channels. There like "did you know you can catch fish with a hook".
Lmbo
Love the rod sock idea
Yeah for 2 bucks or so its not a bad lil DIY
Great ideas! Love your channel brother👍👍
Thank you Sir I appreciate that
Great video!! Put a little water . & Dawn dish detergent in with the vinegar it will smell better ,& it is good to use to clean surfaces for a streak free shine. D’em kinda spoons is fer pork and beans and such bud!!😂
I used the same stuff for rod socks. The seal the end I just folded over the end, heated up some pliers with a torch and squished the end to seal it👍🏼
God bless you! First hack video I watched that is going to actually help me! Subscribed!
Thank you so much , ive got 4 hack videos I think
@@FishinNStuff I've been watching them. Whenever I can figure out on my own I always turn to my fabricator friends.
Love that rod sock dude
I work on boats everyday and rewire them and the motors and I can’t stand win them sleeves start to unbraid them self and you have a good point but if I my plez sr u can take a razor heat it tell it’s glowing and run it across the sleeve and it won’t come Aport ez at all by no means and u can kind of roll the end and get a smaller size shrink tubing on it also thanks god bless
Now I done learned something . That's a great idea , heating up a razor blade . That's how i make holes in paracord with a hot nail . Why didn't I think of that lol
@@FishinNStuff OK, I need to know. Why do you make holes in paracord?
Another good one!!!!!!
Another great video.
Once again, great ideas!
Thank you Sir
Thats soooo good. Thank you for this sir!
Thank you buddy, I appreciate it
These tips are great!
Then were some good ideas . Never thought of the hook being scored and breaks that easy .
Thank you brother
I like this guy.... country drawl n all 💪🏾🐻
Thank you lol 😆
Keep these awesome videos comin!
Cool Deal. Thanks for the tips.
Thank you
Another excellent video. I'd rather have worm dirt with my sandwiches than vinegar. Keep them coming. You are growing like a weed.
Haha i was thinking more about bacteria killing ya lol . I appreciate it brother
Awesome, useful and funny!
Thank you Sir 😊
Great hacks, love the editing on the spoon spoon :)
Thank you you much edit yourself , to have noticed it
Love this channel
This guy is great!
You seem like a very successful man 👍
I use the handle also on your spoon hack,it looks like a long bait it cast alot further and during a striper feeding frenzy you can catch some nice fish
I prefer sporks over spoons. Fish are used to seeing spoons, but ain't never seen nothing like a spork. They can't resist!
😀 thats a great idea lol
Awesome 👍 tight lines brother
Wonderful tips 👍👏🎣🤠
Thank you brother
Mannnn when you said u ain't no Wino!!! I fell the hell out😂😂😂😂 love your content bro
Lmbo 😁 I like having fun . Thank you for watching
great ideas thanks
More great hacks. I love it

Still binge watching...keep it up , liked n subbed .
Tusk you Sir
Good stuff!
