Who else recognized the descent out of Tehachapi down towards Mojave on 58 East? 58E from Bakersfield to Mojave is one of the prettiest stretches of highway(save for those wind turbines!).

Having lived in southern CA for most of my life(now an AZ citizen), recognize all the places you traveled through, between Tehachapi and the Mojave desert areas. Lots of cool places to go explore for sure!
Be safe in your travels, and go easy on that knee you injured skiing a few weeks back! Even though you're young, active and healthy, it can still cause you grief later.

Hello Nikki, I live in Texas with my lovely wife and son. If you haven’t visit, you need to explore Big Bend, west Texas. Beautiful scenery’s there. Also, taking IH 35 South heading to San Antonio, there is a town called Lampasas, it is a German town. It is beautiful there. There is a cave where everyone can watch during night hours under a bridge the spectacle of “bats”. It is amazing, you’ll enjoy with your dog. Have a great night, sleep well.

You should Prius your way up on up to Alaska some time. We got great hikes, paddles, climbs and we are dog friendly. You seem be able to handle cool weather. It is a great adventure....

Earlier today I did a practice sleep on my newly built bed platform in my 2003 Mitsubishi Montero. I envision my old girl taking me on wonderful adventures this year. In my head there was going to be so much space in my rig... not. I am now in awe of people who live in their cars... with pets. Kudos to you!
