Just got my Canon Kiss X9i brand new from Japan😍
Ativa legendas para português, por favor.
I’m photographer here for 10 years already, and believe me, Japan is much cheaper, just need to know where and how to search! Cheers from Osaka!
Thank you! We should meet next time! :)
Definitely!
Can you name shops pls
Alright, I’ll do this next time I travel to Japan, which probably won’t be anytime soon lol
Let's go to Indonesian
I visited that store a year ago when I was in Osaka. So much fun that they have basically all serious cameras and lenses on the market up for display and to play around with.
Go inside a Camera Store in Japan, and you'll be in..... Heaven!
And you'll be in...... Japan !

Your videos have improved so much since a year ago ! Love watching them!
Thanks Élodie!!
8:48 Pierre stole the step down ring 🤣🤣

I love watching your videos. You have so much energy. It makes me happy. Thank you.
Cheers!
8:20 The camera you picked up is a volume image data camera. Sigma has some nice ones. INCREDIBLE photos! Rent one some day, if they're available, and I can almost guarantee you'll buy one. Especially great for landscapes!
Great video as usual ! Keep up the good work ! 🙌🏼👊🏼
Thanks Elliot!
Very helpful!! And your photos are dope! 🔥🔥
Thanks Sandeep!
Great video!!!! thanks for sharing!!!!
HI Pierre, I'm same with you, love Osaka so much, the place is just nice for culture, fashion, shopping, and experience. Btw can you make a video like going to Japan second hand camera shop and digging some cheap and pretty nice vintage lens?
I was in that sane store, while traveling in august. still a funny experience xD
Can't wait to go to Japan bro this looks insane !!!🙌🏼🙌🏼
Japan is sick! The Matrix!
Come indonesia 🤗
it's like heaven all ur needed gear in one place
Thanks for sharing with us, Bro. Of course it’s not cheaper there in Japan as most of us taught 😊 Enjoy your trip
😛
Short answer: NO, it is not cheaper to buy in Japan.
Thank god someone broke it down for me. Not sure why I'd want to watch 12 minutes of a rambling Frenchman who knows no Japanese, in Japan...
Snakebloke 🤣🤣
It is actually cheap but it depends on your country's currency
I find electronics to be more expensive here in Japan
If your playing USD it’s definitely cheaper to buy in Japan, I live here now and I bought gear from Tokiwa in Osaka (another camera store) I literally paid $400 less than what online is selling for
i knew you are frensh when u said” japan hein”
i love u hein ❤️❤️
I am a subscriber and a fan because of that first Japan video 😀
The camera shop of dreams!
BIC CAM in Japan is like heaven ❣️😍😭
I live in Japan and am also a Photographer. One thing that your cost comparison did not account for was the VAT, which is currently at 10%. The only way to pay what you see is if you have visiting VISA. Most shops charge you the VAT and then you have to go to the VAT counter to get the refund. This is definitely something you need to consider when doing cost comparison.
Your videos are so amazing
I so ENVY your travel lifestyle
cheers👍👍
Hey great video! I am curious about the strap or mount you are using that makes the camera stay tight to your chest near your shoulders. What is it called?
Ive been to a few camera store in Japan and i agree, its usually more expensive than the states.
Have good day in japan bro😊😊
The Xume magnetic filters work great, I’ve been using them for 4 years, no problems whatsoever.
Great vid!! Please do a Video in a second hand shop in Osaka!! I'm going next month, if you have any good tips for buying second hand gear over there, that'll be awesome ;)
You should consider camera street in Taipei, it's a whole new experience in itself! 😃
Cheers Pierre!
Thanks Roy!!
If I live in Japan, thank God, you're my savior. Thanks for Japan camera shopping.
Welcome to Japan!
I would love to know how do you edit the your images after taking all those awesome shots....
Having gotten sticker shock in Europe, and seeing the prices on your video Im Glad i can buy from B&H and Adorama lol.
Why didn't I find out your channel earlier, your videos are great especially the ' __ people one city' series. I still don't own a camera but I'm interested in getting one
Camera shop is heaven for me. 🤤
good quality and affordable stuff
I made a conscious effort to shop at bic camera and yodobashi during my visit between 11 Oct 2019 and 21 October 2019 - unfortunately most of the items really come to be consistently higher priced than where I am (Singapore). For my list, I was looking at a7riv, camera grip, camera bags.. It was not cheaper when I factor in the tax-less, tourist discount and card discount.
Thank you Mr Lambert
Big camera and Yodabashi camera sell mostly new releases. If you want cheap, go second hand, you can find some good stuff.
Prices used to be cheaper but that was years ago. Nowadays with our global economy you don't get a deal buying Japanese products in Japan. But I will say BIC Camera and Yodobashi Camera has every camera, lens, camera bag, filter, tripod, accessory, etc etc that you could want. You want a camera strap? They'll have a small wall covered with them!
I did notice last June when I visited the usual large camera stores (Yodobashi & Bic カメラ) that their camera sections are smaller than in the past (20 or even 10 years ago). Instead of full floors, they are now shared with other commodities. It was possible to find there every kind of photographic equipment (like your lens hood), but not anymore... You have now to go online.
日本に来てくれるなんて!ぜひ東京もいってみてください!
Buy the hakuba lenspen. You can buy it individually or set of 3. Lens pen, filter pen , a d viewfinder pen.
Which camera and set u used for this nice movie!?
Nice video Love this ...love from Nepal 🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵
Excellent ahaha, je suis arrivé à Tokyo Hier et aujourd'hui mon premier shop était Bic Camera !
Maintenant il est temps de shoot cette magnifique ville !
Haha trop bien! Vas faire un tour à Yodobashi aussi!
Thank you
Where you buy the camera brecket on your shoulder?
Grab some of the brochures for cameras. They only publish them in Japan normally. The Fujifilm X-Pro3 brochure is *Chefs Kiss*, had a friend bring it back for me.
Japanese camera shops are predicated on discounts, and we get a lot of points!
if you are still in osaka, trying checking out the umeda area, there are tons of camera shops around there.
Thanks for the tip!
@@Pierretlambert no problem! just try searching for "camera store" in google maps and there should be at least 10 that pops up!
I actually have a Sigma DP0. Very unique camera, but I rarely use it anymore since I have a Pen-F.
how do you get your camera to stay on your back pack like that? can you add a description for it
What type of camera do you use
Wow 😳
Amazingg😇
I bought a neoprene camera case on amazon a few months ago, I think I used it for a day and I returned it the next day and I bought a normal one, is just very annoying the way they are build that makes a bit clumsy putting the camera in or taking it out, I can't recommend it
What bag are you wearing where you can hang your camera on the strap like that?
that's just a peak design backpack quick release (not sure what it's exactly called but it's from peak design) it's just a little thing you can attach to any backpack.
Man I don't know how you didn't walk out with heaps of stuff. Although if the pricing isn't any better no point carrying around extra gear for no reason. They do have some cool gear that you don't ssee regularly at camera stores here in Australia though. Great video man.
Haha ikr?
do they allow filming in most shops in japan or do you actually ask permission beforehand? what vlogging gear (cam+mic) did you use here? thanks piere, more power and keep inspiring
all gear is in description :)
Anyone filming is free advertisement for them lol!
Most shops in Japan have signs that explicitly state “no photography or filming”.
You have been in there already!
Welcome to Japan.
Some what cheaper if you buy in Japan, If you have a pass port they knock down the price.. BIC and Yodobashi Camera stores the biggest. You have Yamada and another are second in choice.
For the sigma DP3 Quattro check the review made by Mattias Burling ! His review of some sigma a really amazing. And the foveon sensor is really impressive
Pierre’s like a kid in a candy shop
whats your bags camera mount called ?
Oh yeah, no, most camera equipment (and other consumer goods) prices are on par with US prices. Last year, I was in Osaka for a business trip and I stopped at a Yotobashi Camera store to shop for a new camera strap. I was looking for a camera strap that I could wear short/at chest level or extend so that I could wear it cross-body when I'm on the move. Most stores near my home in the US and online through US retailers only sold straps that attached to the tripod mount on the bottom of the camera, but I wanted a strap that attached at the sides of the camera (making it easier and less prone to swing around when wearing it cross-body). So, I found the perfect camera strap in a burgundy color at Yotobashi Camera (~$28 USD) and bought it. A year later, I was curious to see if I could find the same strap in black online, but none of the major retailers had this particular strap and brand in stock. I thought I had missed the opportunity to get that camera strap in a second color, but I didn't have a way to get back to Japan in the near future. I was able to find it through a seller on Ebay and he was charging $30 USD with free shipping. To conclude, I didn't save much money by buying the same item in Japan.
Thanks for sharing! That's what I found out too!
Great 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️
Is any price difference between USA and Japan.
how do you attach that camera to your straps ?
😭😭😭 ho ho hoooo
by the way, you can try google translate app - it uses the camera and can translate from Japanese to English (or any other language). It might give you a rough translation but surely informative I believe. I tried it myself.
Yes works!!
Merci bien 👍🏽
I can only find those sigma dp quattro in ebay. Not in camera store. They only sell lens here in my country.
How u add these transactions in intro pls tell
Quick way I clean my gear? Rocket blower and Zeiss wipes. I get the wipes at Walmart, 100 in a box for very inexpensive ($5?).
Hey Pierre I know this may be a random question , but I can’t seem to control the focus of my a7iii when in taking photos in vertical orientation.
Is there a setting for this? Help please, I notice you take almost all pictures vertical.
Somewhere hidden in the menu called orientation switch or vertical/hor switch can't remember check :)
Which presets did you use in the street photos you shared in this video?
My street collection mainly :)
8:50 bip bip :D
Once again love from India 📷
Thanks!
I love how the small lenses are behind glass but the 12000 dollar lenses are sitting on tripods on the floor.
Tres belle vidéo
Merci!
I was in Osaka this past September and compared camera prices from US/HK/Taipei/Osaka/Beijing. Prices are all relative except for HK being the cheapest. JP gives you the broadest selection of makes/models/sku of just about anything you inquire and mostly always in stock.
I can be in that store all day for sure
please just teel me what the name of the song in the bigin 1:04
Iima Wildfire by Easy McCoy
You can get used/ vintage film cameras for cheap. sometimes half the cost of ebay.
🔥
True!
Nice video
Peter McKinnon been shooting your B-roll? Jesus.
Neither Peter nor Jesus but thanks for the compliment! :)
how much is the camera price ... I want to have a camera so good...
I thought it was going to be cheaper in Japan and I was excited to get lots of gear while in japan but it was not, Australia is cheaper
Australia cheaper? Really
@@syadi7811 beleive it or not but I found it to be cheaper in Australia than in Japan. I used to live in Aus and then I went to Japan with the intention on get lots of photography gear... Instead I bought some gear in Hong Kong
Lens pen with a disposable cleaning sheet on top. Thank me later. I hate keeping cleaning cloth as i feel like I'm just keeping debris and oil in them even after washing. The disposable ones work better anyway for some reason. They are like a tissue paper squeegee.
Wish I could a get one of that big cameras😀
Nice videos viewing,nice expensive camera
I'd faint if I went in there woow
What is the recent price of Canon eos 6d mark ii body... In japan?
How much is sony a6000 in this shop
I have tried the neoprene pouches maybe I had a bad one but it was far too tight to make it easy to use quickly.
Oh thanks for letting me know!
Pierre T. Lambert you are very welcome
U should check map camera and camera naniwa jp buy online ... cheap
Can anyone suggest me where do I get used gear in cheap price??
