  • These alligators are very habituated to humans. Alligators in remote areas would never let you get this close. These obviously are very used to seeing people. Sorry for the bad video quality. This was recorded on my phone.

They are so beautiful ! People don’t understand that gators really don’t care for humans. I say that because they live around them and it’s natural to see them. Also they won’t eat you for the silly people asking why did he touch it lol they legit won’t eat you they like food that doesn’t fight back or isn’t bigger than them and like he said it’s habitual for them to see humans.

Yah I think that they don’t really care about if a human is around. It just doesn’t bother them; These gators were just sunbathing and were disturbed which is a little rude, but I might’ve done the same thing

Crocodiles are what you should be afraid of.
      Alligators are chill.
      Crocodiles are woke.

Seems like several people do not like me touching gators. Sorry about that. This is the first and only time I have done this and I do not plan to do it again. These gators see a lot of people and are very habituated to people. That's why I say they are friendly. In remote areas you will rarely see gators, because they will see you first and submerge while you are still 50 yards away. I have been fascinated/obsessed by crocodilia since I was very young (maybe 5 years old). I grew up in Savannah Georgia and have spent a lot of time in kayaks in South Georgia and Florida swamps and rivers. So I am very used to being around gators. I have a lot of respect for gators but I have also spent a lot of time studying gators and I know how they move, behave, and "think". Compared to many videos, this is quite tame. Just search CZcams for "swimming with gators" and you will see what I mean.

Thanks for the explanation! I think people were wondering why you were "disturbing" their peace while they were on the grass. Was it necessary to go back into the water? Just confused is all. But it seems like you know what you were doing/talking about.

I understand that this was over 6 years ago and that it was a one time thing but just to clarify: the problem isn't that you're putting yourself in danger. The problem is that if they habituate to humans they might be labeled nuisance alligators. Nuisance alligators are often killed and if they're not killed they cannot be kept in the wild. If these are already habituated and they are not causing problems then fine but it's an unnecessary risk. Swimming with alligators is usually done in captivity.

@@XSimonEntertainmentX They were already habituated. I would never feed a wild gator. Feeding does cause problems. These gators see a lot of people. It’s a very popular place.

Hey there... I must say you have balls for getting that close to the world's most dangerous reptile... a jaw pressure of 2,980 (psi)...enough to cause serious damage...please be careful.... I like the idea you show a interest to the last of surviving dinosaurs... when the crocodiles and alligators become extinct it will be a sad loss...they are ferocious beautiful looking creatures.

This is stupid. Alligators generally do not attack adult people --- but you do not do what you are doing and threaten them. They can seriously injure you.
