Its also doesn't help that games blaster physics causes enemy hit to bounce back and out of range while the clones are using the games firearms physics which doesn't bounce the enemy back meaning the clones can hit the same until its before switch targets

the second battle should be an easy win for the clones if they have someone to give orders. this setup with high ground and bridge should advantage the range superiority they have but for using it they need to retreat

Major problem was that the Clones had no direct exit from the arena. It was a teleporter which took away their advantage.

The issues with the second battle were due to the entryway being a bottleneck, only 1 clone or droid could pass through per tick. Because of this the clones couldn't establish enough of a presence on the hill quick enough. That portal is what fucked up the simulation, dragging it out to the point where it glitched.
The droids were going to win. The clones loss more of the ratio, didnt have a hero, and loss their attack economy advantage because of the choke point from the Coliseum.

I think the colosseum really screwed the clones. The droids had to up a hill and if more clones were back enough defending. With their range advantage they should've been knocking off droids as they got up the hill
Ah yes the second fight was totally fair. Not only outnumbered 10-1, they had terrain advantage from the start, stripping away the clones ability to use longer range. I mean, placing the clones in the arena literally bottlenecked them. The game didn’t even move them. Wasn’t a fair fight to begin with
I think the biggest problem in the 2nd fight was the fact that the clones were bottled up in the coliseum so only a couple hundred at most could do anything at a time. Not to mention that probably caused all the flying glitches and whatnot. Would love to see the battle again but with more of the clones able to fight at one point to see how differently it would go. (I think clones would win but maybe darth maul could reck shop, who knows?)
5:16 I like to think that one clone death wasn't due to the enemy. That guy sadly just had his appendix rupture during the battle and wasn't able to receive medical attention in time do to the battle.
According to star wars lore. The average Clone Trooper should destroy 20 B1 battle droids before becoming a causality themself.
And when you see the factory in Attack of the Clones, you see the key problem with those odds - the factory was able to produce one B1 Battle Droid every second on average. That is ~86,400 Battle droids per week, meaning those droids would need to kill 4,320 clones every week. Assuming 10 years to raise a clone, that means a minimum of 2,246,400 clones have to be in production to maintain those numbers against just that one factory.
That is one of the problems with the clone army. There was always more battle droids to fight. Endless waves of battle droids. Whereas the clones were better quality troops. With better equipment. However clones need to be fed, clothed, and medical needs looked after. Which was why the clone army was bankrupting the republic. The Droid army was also bankrupting the separatists. Which in the end is what the Emperor wanted.
@@jonathancathey2334 A droid army could have also been used for industrial development. When the droid army isn't needed it can be put into low-power mode, or have different programs loaded into them and used to run the various factories. Droids are always loyal, can work almost 24/7, only need electricity to be fed, are relatively expendable (aka little worry about industrial accidents), have a higher threshold for dangerous environments, and don't need to be guarded.
All those scenes of droids guarding enslaved beings that are working in mines/factories/farms show that the CIS was inefficient. The biggest enemy for conquered people would be boredom while living in basic quarters as the droids are doing all the basic tasks.

If understand the lore correctly. The reason the bartender in Star Wars episode IV: A New Hope. Refuses to have Droids in his bar. Is because of the sentiment towards Droids after the Clone Wars. People just didn't trust Droids the way. That they had before the war.

Adding Darth Maul seems like a way too big advantage to give the droids for the second fight, especially on top of 70k more droids. They should have gotten some B2s instead if possible.
In lore, Battle Droids would usually outnumber Clones 100:1 so something like this is an easy day for the clones.
To be fair it's like putting 10,000 Jango fetts against some glorified tin cans which in star wars Canon are as dumb as tin cans so
@@yang-fanchau2085 I know the Battle Droids seem dumb, and that's because they are, but the CIS went for overwhelming numbers and firepower over quality. Its true that the average Clone outclasses the average Battle Droid, but that's why the CIS went with quantity.
@@ryanchong9965 The CIS was also terrified of any of the droids becoming sentient and starting another droid revolution in the galaxy. That's why even the most advanced droids in the CIS army were still really limited

Also… I just realized I don’t remember any shovels in the Star Wars movies… explains why the troopers didn’t dig in. But… why wouldn’t they flank the massed bot army? Or use their heavy/crew served weapons, air/space craft, walkers, etc. For that matter, take a knee! Prone out! (I guess they aren’t allowed to get the armor dirty.)

The open plain result felt obvious to me once that I learned that the clone troopers had superior range. Since all the clone troopers in ranged will be firing vs only the front line like in real life.

I think a droid victory for that second battle had it not glitched, they had the clones backed into a corner. As for the name of that clone force, maybe the Ghost Legion or Beskar Battalion? When I see these UEBS videos, I actually feel the Super Battle Droids are the true MVPs.

In terms of credits to produce, a single standard clone trooper is worth six times what a basic B1 battle droid costs.
Tactically bad. Both forces leaving large portions of their force unengaged...should fan the rear portions out to the flanks to bring more fire to bear in the first battle.

Like seriously the clones had one casualty. One clone died. Of 10,000 soldiers, against 30,000 soldiers, the group of 10,000 still had 9,999 troops by the end of the battle. A couple hundred were likely injured but only one dead.
That one clone who died in the first battle died because he tripped and hitted his head, so still 0 for the droids. Do we agree?

the first battle of genesis had about 200k clones. We don't have a canon number for the deaths of clones for this but we know that about half of the clone commandos were killed. So maybe 100k clones? Idk. It's all speculation
